My husband & I have just returned from a 9 week, 15 mountain ski trip through Colorado, finishing with a weeks stay in Park City & Deer Valley in Utah before flying back to NZ. We loved Telluride! Tom & Mindy were marvellous hosts & went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time in this gorgeous ski town. The condo was very conveniently located to the town, the supermarket & the free bus service to the gondola.It was immaculately presented & all the little extras provided were much appreciated. Thank you Tom & Mindy for such an awesome stay & we hope we can return the hospitality if you ever visit us 'down under'.

We loved it. A delightful 8 night stay in this Condo and in Telluride. We will be back. As others have said, Tom and Mindy are wonderful hosts and provide priceless advice (from shipping skis, to restaurants, to where to ski, to everything else you might want). The condo was clean and very well equipped. They own this unit, but also manage a number of other units (up to and including a 3 bedroom) in the Viking Lodge in case this one doesn't happen to suit your needs. The location is fantastic. We did not have a car, and definitely did not need one (in fact, were glad we did not have one). Lift 7 (Coonskin) is a short and pleasant walk down the river, and the lift takes you right to some of the best skiing on the mountain. If you don't want to carry your skis, boots, and poles, the very friendly ski shop at Coonski will let you store them for a nominal fee a few yards from the lift. There is a grocery, a deli, a liquor store, and a restaurant within a block or two. The Galloping Goose Bus Service stops at the door every 10 minutes-- we used it about 25% of the time for fun but mostly walked. We had been a little concern before we arrived that the unit might be a too small for us (my wife and I). It is somewhat small, but VERY well laid out and workable. We appreciated the king size bed, and had zero problems in the end. We ate all breakfasts in and most dinners out but only because it was so much fun to roam the city -- we could easily have eaten in. The highlight, of course, is the skiing. Magnificent mountain with no crowds, and nice runs -- what is there not to love. We have skied for almost 30 years all over the West, and wish we had skied Telluride long ago. Bottom line, a great and memorable time.

Telluride was the third week in our trip to Colorado and we weren't dissappointed! The condo at Viking Lodge was the perfect choice for us. Clean, comfortable, stylish, and oh the sounds of the San Miguel River from below our balcony! The location was perfect and with the River Trail right outside our condo we could bike or hike anywhere with ease. Telluride has lots to offer the summertime visitor, from quaint shops and a pleasantly diverse selection of restaurants, to all the adventurous mountain-exploring activities you could imagine. Tom & Mindy are fabulous hosts and we truly appreciated their warm hospitality. Happy to say, we'll be back! Allen & D'Ann, Havana, Florida

Just finished a couple week trip through Colorado with my wife and teenage son. We spent 5 days at Tom and Mindy's condo. Here are a few reason you should consider this condo: 1. The Location: Top floor with a balcony overlooking the river and ski slopes with a veiw of a waterfall off in the distance. 2. Free Parking: We parked our car when we arrived and never drove again until we left. The condo is within walking distance to everything in Telluride. Another place we considered did charge $20 per night for parking and did not provide that information until I asked about it. 3. The Cleanliness: We stayed at 5 nice hotels/condos during our stay. My wife kept comparing everything else to this condo. This was definetly the cleanest place. 4. The Owners: Tom & Mindy were helpful in providing suggestions from restaurants, hikes and local activities. We enjoyed all of their suggestions. One consideration for this condo is that the bedroom is just as you enter the front door. We actually preferred this because we could enjoy the views and sounds of the river as we spent family time in the back balcony & living room area of the condo. One consideration for Telluride is that grocery stores are probably not what you are used too. We stopped in a town a few hours prior to arriving to buy most of our food for the week. It worked great with the kitchen in the condo. Again this condo was perfect for us and I have already been reccommending it to my friends. Thank you Tom & Mindy for all of your hospitality!

My husband and I came to Telluride for our 2nd anniversary. We were immediately greeted by Tom upon our arrival and found him to be such a wonderful person. Both Tom and Myndi were very hospitable during our entire stay. Before they arrived, Myndi sent us a list of great restuarants to try for our anniversary. The one we ended up picking, Cosmopolitian, was amazing. The condo was just perfect with an excellant view. It was centrally located to all the restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Staying in the condo was far better than a hotel. We were able to make breakfasts, pack lunchs, relax during the day by listening to the river below. I would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for an upscale place to stay without the cramped feeling that a hotel provides. When we visit the area again we will stay here again and will recommend this to all friends/family who are wanting an incredible vacation experience. My husband and I ended up renting a 4x4 for the day for some off-road on several passes. What a great way to spend the day, seeing the places that you can't normally go. Well worth the cost!! What an amazing vacation! The condo accommodations were perfect, Tom and Mindy were extremely hospitable and helpful, and it snowed nearly everyday for the best skiing and snowshoe'ing we've ever experienced. Truly, we couldn't have asked for a better getaway. We will most certainly be back at Viking 311 and highly recommend the beautiful town of Telluride for those that wish to take in gorgeous scenery, great skiing, and a relaxing time all-around. Dear Tom and Mindy, We have had a truely fabulous vacation here in Telluride! Your condo is clean, beautiful & very comfortable; you have though of everything!! Thank you for your help with the bike trails, three days in a row we rode from the gondola down "Village Trail", the "dirt road", "Jurassic", "Meadow" and either the river trail or the paved path back to the condo. They are VERY fun and exciting, not to mention beautiful views!! We even rode our bikes to the parking lot of Bridal Veil Falls (and slightly beyond). We found the skate parks as well, Zach was able to skate three days and loves the parks. This was all because you spent the time telling us where to go and because of you our vacation was extra special! Thank You We hope to come back and ski, so look for us....we'll be back! Wow, what a great rental condo! Having attended a large conference in nearby Mountain Village and spoken with many other people renting condos in Telluride and Mountain Village, I can tell you that 311 Viking was a fantastic rental experience. Several of our friends rented condos in the area from large property management companies which did not meet their expectations. 311 Viking was everything the VRBO ad promised - everything worked great and everything was very clean. Tom & Mindy who own the condo live just a couple doors down and they are more than eager to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. They know the area very well and love answering any questions you may have about local activities and events. They are a great resource that you won't get if you rent through any of the larger property management companies. We will definitely be returning to 311 Viking. I give this property my highest rating.

This was our first stay in 311 but definitely won't be our last! Well appointed with every concievable convenience . . . Tom & Mindy have thought of everything! The washer & dryer is a plus; the views are spectacular. The video/DVD library is another winner. There are too many wonderful things about this unit to mention. Seeing is truly believing; it feels like living in Telluride. We could move in today!

The views from this condo are spectacular! The interior is beautifully done and very comfortable. It was so refreshing to sit on the balconey and feel the gentle breeze while listening to the creek gurgling past. The hosts are extremely helpful and knowlegable about Telluride and the surrounding areas. A perfect place for a Telluride stay any season!
