This authentic, hand built log cabin is furnished in the classic "Old Tahoe" tradition right down to the soft leather sofa, club chair and Oriental carpets. Filled with Lake Tahoe's charming history, there is a timeless, rustic mountain feel in every room.
You will certainly be far from "roughing it" with all the modern comfort and conveniences the cabin offers. The cabin is nestled in the hills above Truckee and is a cozy, romantic, welcoming retreat. Quiet, yet close to most everything, it has great Winter access and is perfect for a Tahoe skiing and snowboarding vacation.
The cabin is located in Tahoe Donner, a premier, private recreational community near Truckee, on the California side of the Sierra Nevadas. Many of the excellent amenities offered are right in the neighborhood including a championship 18 Hole Golf Course, pro shop, downhill ski resort, a cross country ski resort (featuring several warming huts and a ski-in cafe), the fine Lodge restaurant, deli/market, tennis courts, equestrian center, hot tub, swimming pools and a brand new, year-round gym to just name a few.
Neighborhood activities include golfing, outdoor movies, archery, trail hiking, fitness classes, swimming lessons, snowshoeing, skiing, cross country skiing, moonlight cross country skiing, hay rides, horseback riding, fine dining, wine tasting, live music, parents night out events and much, much more.
The Tahoe Donner Association also owns a private marina, beach and boat launch. The beach features a cafe, concession stand, chaise lounges, boat rentals, (including kayaks), and a designated swimming area. They even host special events such as themed beach parties, kayak tours and volleyball games. Guests of Lucky Tree Cabin recieve Tahoe Donner Guest passes allowing access to all amenities and activities.
Venturing out of Tahoe Donner, you will find that most of North Lake Tahoe's other major ski resorts are just minutes away. The cabin notebook has a list of all restaurants in the area with hours, address and type of food.

We stayed here for a few Thanksgivings, but honestly, the price is just too high....bathrooms need remodeling and a hot tub wouldn't hurt for the price. We have amazing memories of our time there, but sadly had to change places last year since we could find better accommodations for less. It's sad for us to drive by over the Thanksgiving holiday and see the lights off.....

We have stayed her twice now and absolutely loved it both times!!! The home is so cute and full of charming features. The owner gave a true rustic cabin feeling to the home which creates a warm, inviting memorable experience for anyone wishing to stay! We have it booked again in the summer and cannot wait to get back there!!!

The Pullen Rental Group made reservations/booking and check-out easy and hassle free! By far the best customer service experience! The cabin itself was incredible! So much memorabilia from Courtney's family history building/owning the cabin. We loved the rustic cozy feeling! The welcome basket, extra food items for use and cooking ware, the huge dvd selection, and board games were fantastic. Cranium, one of the board games there, had dried out clay but it was an easy fix. We just drove to the store and bought some play-doh. We decided to leave it at the cabin so that other renters could enjoy the game as well! Another thing we took advantage of was the transfer guest passes to the Tahoe Donner private beach. Our daughter had a blast helping other beach goers catch crawdads and swim in the blocked off kid friendly part of the beach! I never once had to worry she would get swept away by the current or drown. All in all, the vacation experience was top notch! If there is anything that I would suggest for an even better experience is to upgrade the mattresses in the rooms. Some of my family said that their beds were too sunk in and could feel the springs in their backs when they moved at night but it didn't ruin their time at the cabin...the fun we had on vacation surely outweighed the mattresses. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Courtney for allowing vacationers to enjoy the welcoming and magical atomsphere of the Lucky Tree Cabin! And we also thank everyone at the Pullen Group for second to none customer service!! My family and I, will definitely be renting from this cabin and others in the future and will highly recommend your business to others! We are looking forward to renting in the winter season, as we are also avid snow boarders! Thanks again to all!!!
