We invite you and your family to relax and enjoy our beautifully furnished ocean front villa overlooking the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. The Villa is an enchanting 2 unit complex with authentic hand-hewn wood and rattan furniture, decorative Mexican tile floors, bathrooms and counter tops, and local artisan designed wall decorations and bedspreads. Each spacious, 1500 square foot unit has 2 large bedrooms, a large, open common space that includes the living room, dining room and kitchen and a full-size bathroom. Each master bedroom has an incredible ocean view and is furnished with a queen size bed, tables, ample closet space and a safe to guard your personal items. The spacious 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds, reading table and plenty of closet space. The open area includes a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area that adjoin an authentically furnished living room with a colorful fold-out futon bed and tropical hardwood furniture.
Outside the sliding glass doors of the living area and master bedroom, is an expansive deck, spanning the ocean front and side of the house. In addition to the exquisite view, the deck area is fully furnished with outdoor patio furniture and hammocks so you can enjoy the incredible view of the Caribbean and bask in its warm topical breezes. Both suites are identical and each can sleep up to 7 people.
The 3rd floor observation roof offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean to the east and lagoons and mangrove jungle to the west. There is a convenient outdoor shower for washing off after visiting the beach or swimming in the ocean. Caretakers are on-site to offer you security and assistance. The closest neighbors are 300 yards away.
The Villa is ideal for family and friends who want to travel together and enjoy each other in a beautiful, tropical location. In addition, it is a perfect setting for smaller groups as each individual suite has its’ own kitchen, bath and living areas, providing complete privacy from noise and unwanted interruption.

- Bottled water is supplied for drinking. Our rain collection system provides hot and cold water for washing and cleaning. Solar panels with generator back-up provide standard 110a/c electrical power. Heat producing appliances are not allowed(i.e. hairdryers,curling irons) because it damages the solar system. A grocery truck brings fresh food to our door 3-5 times a week. NEARBY RESTAURANTS are at local resorts and in town. Daily maid and caretaking services provided. Bicycles and Kayaks are provided for guests to use.

- The turquoise bay directly in front of the villa has numerous coral heads in no more than 6 feet of water teeming with beautiful tropical fish, rays, lobsters, eels and octopus, It is protected by the second largest barrier reef in the world and is within the National Reef Park of Xcalak. Wonderful scuba diving is available through local dive operators to dozens sites within 5-15 minutes by boat. Banco Chinchorro, North America's largest diving atoll is only 25 miles due East, Deep sea and world-class fly-fishing can be arranged through local guides for bone fish, permit, tarpin, snook and barracuda, to name a few. Catch and release within the national park. Mayan ruins are within a one to two hour drive, Chaccoben, Dzibanche, Kinichna, Kohunlich, Oxtankah plus a Spanish Fort in Bacalar, IN ADDITION, Bicycling, wildlife observation, star gazing, reading and lots of relaxing.

We invested in this Villa because of the obvious beauty of the area and friendliness of its local people. The tranquility and its seclusion allows us the slowed down pace we need between our busy lives in the wine country of northern California. The rest and relaxation we experience while reading, snorkeling, diving and just hanging out in a swinging hammock is all the reasons why we enjoy this special retreat and hope you will too.

In 2004, while on a 2 week vacation into the Yucatan, we chose Xcalak as an out of the way destination to relax and enjoy snorkeling and diving, our 2 favorite activities. That was the beginning of an exciting and enriching adventure that we enjoy sharing with guests who return year after year. Two months of every year we live at the Inn and enjoy the tropical breezes and calm, clear waters within the protective reef. We love our spacious, airy, 2 bedroom suites nestled close to the gently lapping waves that are only 60 feet from our porch. We hope to share our tropical paradise with you and have taken great pleasure in detailing the rooms with local Mayan arts and textiles.
