We enjoyed our winter getaway in this cozy and comfortable log cabin! We were able to enjoy long scenic hikes as well as a lazy day by the fire as we watched the snow fall around us! Our dog enjoyed the freedom and fresh air as much as we did...if not more! What a great place to disconnect from technology and reconnect with your family and nature!

Thanks for a great holiday weekend. My family and I were uplifted by both the natural beauty of the surrounding area as well as the family atmosphere in the cabin itself. We read books, made fires (in the fireplace, of course), hiked, ate, painted, and generally relaxed listening to the sound of the Esopus Creek flowing gently nearby. We were amazed at the different lights - early morning, noon time, sunset, and moonlight as seen from our long talks on the front porch. We "attempted" Mt. Wittenberg, but 4 miles was a bit out of our league - half way we did go and it was totally worth it - next time we will go all the way. Really a treasure, thanks for making your home available.

Amazing bucolic escape from the city. Close enough to everything you need, but far enough away for peace and quiet and stars. Beautiful cabin. One of the best vacations my family's ever had. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Super cottage which was great for our family of 5. Close to skiing. The living space in the cabin is larger than I expected from the photographs! Very comfortable. The couple of days skiing, the cozy fireplace and comfortable beds made for a fun family week-end. Thanks!

Stayed in this wonderfully rustic cabin with my wife and 3 kids. We had a fantastic time. The house was warm, comfortable and fully stocked (except for towels). We'll definitely be returning!

My wife, our dog, and I stayed at the cabin for five days in late December and we all had a wonderful time. It was our mini-honeymoon, as we're planning something bigger in a few months and wanted something quiet and peaceful out of the city for a quick getaway. The cabin exceeded our expectations--absolutely perfect, spacious, beautiful, and toasty in the winter. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking gear, and we had a great time cooking and hunkering down in front of the beautiful fireplace. Lots of books around--my wife had forgotten her copy of "Middlemarch" at home and lo and behold it was on the shelf. And our dog was in heaven with the place--far enough from the road and neighbors for her to roam the spacious yard. Good hiking just down the road and fabulous breakfast at Sweet Sue's around the corner in Phoenicia. Can't wait to return. Thanks, Evelyn!

My husband, four year old twins and I just got back from two wonderful nights in Phonecia and Evelyn and Michael's cabin. Everything about the place is fabulous, it's cozy and beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Everything we needed was there for us, firewood, kitchen necessities, clean sheets on comfortable beds even toys for the kids. I only wish we could have stayed longer. This was our second trip to this cabin, we went five years ago before the kids were born and loved it then too. We hope to back more often. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

My wife and I live in NYC and spent Thanksgiving at this wonderful cabin. We loved the fireplace ! It was wonderful to be so secluded in the woods and at night we watched the stars. We highly recommend this for anyone who needs to clear their heads from city life and get away for a few days. Thanks, Kevin and Jennifer O.

We stayed at the cabin over the Labor Day and found it absolutely charming. It is rustic as described, furnished with antiques, has a very special feel to it. The location is perfect. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch with our morning coffee and see the sun come up from over the mountain. We felt a world away from our usual lives, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve! Highly recommended to de-stress and recharge!

This lovely spot provided a great city getaway for our family and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing spot within the heart of the Catskills. My son, who is a toddler, loved walking around the yard and driveway, jumping in puddles and looking at the Esopus, just down the road. The cabin is very kid-friendly, with a lot of great books for kids, and toys as well. But, this would also be a great spot for a couple (or two) without children who just want to sit in front of a big fire, relax on the porch, and head out for the many nearby hikes. We hope to head back again one day!
