We loved our stay at the beach. The house was very clean and we had plenty of room. Although we had a short walk to the beach, our location was good. We loved the gated community and the many activities for the kids. Our week went by too fast. We can't wait to return next summer.

We had a great vacation. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we could ask for. There was lots to do for everyone, and the beach is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for all of your help Jeff - we will be back.

When my family and I went down and stayed in this home for a family get away vacation , it was very nice and pleasant . If you have gotten a bad review on this house are way out of line . It was a big , spacey , and clean house . The placement of the house is also very nice . If we would have been any closer to a the ocean it wouldn't have mattered . It is a very nice place . We are very happy we chose to stay there .

I am pleased to recommend this site to potential families. The facility was very up-to-date and the carpets just freshly cleaned. The owner was available for any and all questions we had and even called to ask if everything was acceptable. We were so very close to the beach that no golf carts or even wagons were needed. There was plenty of room for our 4 families to enjoy time together and also plenty of bedrooms to enjoy some private time. I would strongly recommend this property. I definitely give this location 5 stars!

The house was wonderful. Very roomy & very clean. The carpets had been shampooed the morning before we arrived. Jeff asked that we let him know if there was any issues for him to take care of immediately. The short distance to the beach was great. No need for a golf cart. I was not in Myrtle Beach to watch TV so finding out after the fact that the cable had an issue wasn't a big deal to me. Jeff took care of it when he realized there was a problem. He was a pleasure to work with & I would definitely recommend this home. There is not a place for 6 stars but that's what I would pick if I could.

The house was very clean and attractive. The 3 TVs in the house were modern flat screens, however the two TVs in two of the bedrooms were small. Jeff addressed an air conditioning problem in the queen size bedroom promptly and it was fixed. The covered parking area for 4 cars under the living area was great! Great broiled seafood at Lee's Inlet and Drunken Jacks in Murrells Inlet which is 5 miles away. We pounded down nails that were sticking up on both sets of outside wooden steps when we arrived after one adult and child caught their shoes on them. No problem with that afterward. The cable TV is very basic and minimal with a few local stations, several weather channels, including the Weather Channel and the only national news is HLN. There is no CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc. The males in our party were really disappointed with no ESPN channels. There was only a loveseat and couch in the living room (seats for 5) in a house for 12 people. More comfortable seats could be added in the living room. Also the rental price for this property for a summer week was incorrect on the HomeAway website when we looked at the website in January 2011. It is still incorrect on the website. Linens, cleaning fee and daily parking fees per car are not included in the price. There were a lot of activities inside Ocean Lakes including 2 swimming pools, mini golf, arcade and a rec center with daily organized activities. The ocean beach was a short walk from this house which was a plus as some of the properties are far from the beach so there are a lot of golf cart rentals inside this development.

Owner response:I'm sorry you had trouble with the cable TV service. We do have the Premium cable TV package which includes all of the channels you mentioned including ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, FOX and dozens of other channels. I wish you had notified me when you were here and I would have called the cable company to fix the problem. Otherwise, I'm glad you had a nice time and we hope to see you again soon.

Best Vacation Ever

We rented one of the 4 bedroom homes for a long weekend over Halloween 2010. The home and property are absolutely wonderful. We are planning another stay in 2011. Jeff is so easy to work with and just a dream to work with. My family can hardly wait for our next visit. Ocean Lakes is a wonderful vacation spot with everything you need right onsite...you would never have to leave if you didn't want to!

This was our third visit to the same location. The house was just as it was in 2007--plus a few new things. We love the carpet in the great room. Everything was clean and well maintained. My family loved going to the beach and spending time together.

The Best Family Time.... Ever!

We really enjoyed our family week at the beach. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our children loved all that the area had to offer. We loved using the golf cart to ride to the ice cream stand every night after dinner. The owner was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this house.

Greatest Beach Vacation!!!

This was our family's second vacation stay at this beach house. It really is the perfect place for a family vacation. There is so much for everyone to do. The house fit our needs perfectly. It was very nice and clean and well maintained. The house is very spacious and has all of the amenities we could ever need. We could tell that Jeff and Cindy really care about keeping it in great shape for their guests. Jeff is very professional and easy to work with. They always help to steer us in the right direction when we ask for dining or entertainment suggestions. We have already reserved a week to come back again next year!!!
