  You might as well save your money if you're considering any of the neighboring resorts, because it will be hard to top this place. Larger pool than the Marriott next-door and far fewer gringo tourists. Just beyond the pool is the sand and then ocean. In July the water was perfect temperature. Bath water. Wash off the sand and jump back in the pool then kick it under an umbrella and read. Add a gym, tennis quarts, and a golf course across the street and you're all set. Though I don't play golf, my partner does and she was impressed with the course. Had an amazing time and really loved the walkability of the area. You are 2 blocks to the Marina where you have all kinds of food and nightlife options. Can't say enough. Part of me is reluctant to write this review because I'm afraid the word will get out and I'll have no place to stay my next time I'm in PV.

  We had amazing week at Porto Fino. The apartment looks out onto a spectacular view of the pacific ocean and watching the dramatic sunsets became our favorite time of the day. The area has amazing food choices , many within walking distance. However, several nights we stayed in and took advantage of the new fully equipped kitchen. The apartment and grounds were beautiful, inviting, homey, and impeccably clean. The only complaint I have is that our time at Porto FIno flew by way too fast. Can't wait to return.

  We have stayed in this comfortable well equipped unit in the winter for the past 6 years. It truly felt like home. The ocean view and sunsets are awesome and you can watch the cruise ships arriving and leaving and the humpback whales and dolphins from the balcony. The pool is expansive and since saving chairs is not allowed you can always find a spot to lounge around it. There is also a good snack bar in the pool area.The gardens are beautiful and the location is peaceful and quiet. It is just a short walk to the marina with all of it's restaurants and shops. For those times you may want to take the short trip into town, the bus stops right outside the gate and there's always a taxi nearby so the choice is yours.

  The condo is beautifully furnished and comfortable. You can spent a relaxing afternoon sitting on the terrace and enjoying the full ocean view. The pool area is very spacious and provides a view of the ocean and never seems to crowded. Excellent location!!!!! I'm plan on using this location for all my travels to PV.

  Porto Fino and the Marina Vallarta destination was fabulous for dining, shopping, and walking the surrounding neighborhoods. The local buses and taxis were plentiful, inexpensive, and easy to use if you wanted to go further afield. We walked to dinner every evening enjoying a drink in the "lighthouse" bar overlooking the marina; especially nice. We enjoyed the spacious and well maintained grounds at Porto Fino and well as the business center and library. The pool was very large and especially beautiful. You are just steps to the ocean and the sound of the waves was a delight! The owners sent us a list of their favorite restaurants and we enjoyed several of their recommendations; there simply wasn't enough time in this visit to try them all! The people in the city center, as well as the complex, were friendly and helpful. We walked to the nearby Mexican grocery to fill the cupboards during our stay. This is definitely a "repeat" destination.

  The kids loved the great pool and the beach. The evening sunset watching on the balcony was spectacular. Next time we'll come without the kids for a romantic holiday! Thanks - we will be back asap.

  I stayed at Porto Fino and was totally pleased with everything. Relaxing around the gorgeous pool, sipping wine on the deck overlooking the ocean was perfect. The condo is so comfortable and everything was first class. Thanks and I'll be back!

  The Portofino complex has a great location, friendly staff, beautiful pool and grounds and amenities to enjoy. We found the unit to be clean, nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. Thank you!
