This historic property in West Sonoma County's wine country is set against a backdrop of a vibrant chardonnay vineyard, a vintage apple orchard, and a beautiful one-hundred-year-old farmhouse.
Completed in 2005, the guest house was born from the remnants of an old apple barn and although this beautiful new structure hardly resembles the old building, its spirit remains intact.
The two bedroom, 1 bath guesthouse boasts nearly 1300 square feet of living space with an open floor plan which takes optimal advantage of the incredible views - through every window is a picture. The great room with its vaulted ceilings and batten and board walls speak to the memory of the old barn, yet its large gourmet kitchen and state of the art entertainment system are thoroughly modern and are only part of the amenities that await you at Spirit Hill Farm. Fine linens adorn the queen-size beds in each of the rooms - the feel is un-pretentious and comfortable, yet elegant. Also available to guests who require a little more sleeping room is the newly completed "sugarshack". This completely detached structure, nestled in the middle of the apple orchard, is appointed with a queen size bed, fine linens, LCD TV, phone and a Balinese inspired outdoor bathroom with rain shower. This gorgeous cottage is available only as an addition to guests of the guesthouse and is not available as a stand alone rental (available high season only).
Nestled between the apple orchard, the vineyard and nearly an acre of professionally landscaped grounds lies the large seasonally heated pool and spa for guests to enjoy. Within walking distance of Spirit Hill Farm lies the quaint town of Graton, with its galleries and outstanding restaurants. The town of Sebastopol, located just two miles away is home to several excellent restaurants and shops, as well as numerous antique stores. Sebastopol is also home to supermarkets, drug stores, and even a movie theater. The historic town of Occidental is just over the hill and is also home to many shops and restaurants. And of course there are dozens of Sonoma County wineries within a stones throw of Spirit Hill Farm. |
