Deer Haven is a beautifully decorated and romantic home located at the end of a private road, midway between Blairsville and Helen and about 2 miles north of the Appalachian Trail. At 2,000 feet elevation, it captures some of the cooler temperatures of the high mountains, and is in the middle of numerous lakes, waterfalls, and national parks.
The sunny great room boasts a full-size kitchen, dining, and living areas. A gas fireplace in the corner is wonderful on cool days and nights. Though having only one bathroom, a pocket door separates the toilet and bathtub from double vanities, making it extremely efficient. Taller guests will especially appreciate the high counters and elevated showerhead in the bath.
Numerous guests have commented on the unexpected amount of time they spent in rocking chairs on the porch, sipping a glass of wine, looking at the gorgeous view, watching fireflies, and keeping an eye out for deer. Whether they were celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary, looking for a more active vacation exploring the surrounding area or just wanted to spend some quiet time away from home, they all agreed that this home was perfect!
