We would Recommend, Great place!

This was my second time visiting this cabin. This has been the best cabin I have stayed thus far. This place was so wonderful! We immediately felt at home! There was so much to do and so little time. I can't wait to come back and stay longer. This cabin is absolutely beautiful! Clean, and comfortable. I loved how it was decorated, fully equipped kitchen, grill, hot tub and fireplace. You left nothing to be desired. Thanks for a great stay. Thank you for creating such a wonderful getaway for people and their families to come together to slow down from their busy lives and relax. We had a great experience!

We enjoyed our trip to Pigeon Forge however we were charged a cleaning fee in advance when we checked into the cabin we found dried spagetti noodles on the counter, food wrappers under the couch, dried food under table and something spilled on the bedroom floor but we did not complain we finished our 5 day stay. When we checked out and returned home we recieved an email stating that half of our security deposit was being kept due to excessive dirtyness. We followed all rules took out all trash, loaded and started the dishwasher, striped the downstairs beds, put towels in the tubs. The only thing i can think we might not of remembered is i put the wine glasses higher to keep my 1yr old from breaking them and we forgot to put them back I don't think that really compares to the dirty cabin that we walked into. Besides the dirty part we were aware we were in a duplex however we did not expect to have people beside us and below us we have three children we were making be quiet due to the rules if you are complained on you will have to leave but it seemed nobody elsed cared because it was very loud you could even hear it through the walls when someone flushed the toilet. The pots are all rusted, the apple decorations in kitchen has bite marks out of them, the dog decoration in bathroom is broke and missing a leg , the jacuzzi tub knob is broke off i could keep going on and on I took pic before we unpacked just so we would not get the blame on any damages. I wished we would have listened to the previous post and warnings about this rental. My family will be returning to Tennessee but we will not be staying with these owners

Owner response:Sorry you are so upset over keeping a portion of your secuity deposit. We comtemplated on keeping the entire deposit. Your complaints are petty. We also made pics. We would be glad to email them to you or anyone else who would like to verify the condition of this cabin. Everyone pays the cleaning fee and taxes. We (the Owners) are there with our cleaning crew everytime the cabins are cleaned. You received your unit very clean. We are appalled that you could post a review after you left this unit in the "excessive condition" that you did. You had three children, stayed 4 nights and it appeared you had been there a month. We have never in all of our years in the rental business seen toilets and floors as you left them. We were ashamed for the cleaners to see them. You did load the dishwasher but you didn't start it. The bedroom floor has carpet, we are there every check in, we not aware of any spills. We are aware of the bite out of the artificial apple on the island and the leg broken off the little ceramic dog. I'm assuming that happened like when you took the wooden calendar "off the wall" and let your 3 children play with it, finding it scattered over the entire cabin. Why is the knob broken off the Hot Tub, because people like you, use the Hot Tubs and cabin contents for babysitters and children have no supervision. Consider yourself fortunate getting any of your deposit back.

Don't let the picture make you think this sits out by itself. there are cabins close together and all around this. If you want Peace and quite, comfortable beds and privacy this cabing is not for you.I made the mistake not catching the "duplex" word in the description (its really a triplex) . Could hear the person next door in upstairs bedroom snore all night and could hear all there talking and laughing. So between all that the hot tub jets kicking off and on all night and the traffic coming within 10 ft. of your front door, this was not a relaxing weekend and money wasted, which included a clean up fee which I knew going in, but didn't know till after I signed on the dotted line "I" had to do some cleaning before I left.Who ever had this cabin to clean today had a easy job on this one.

Owner response:Peggy, so sorry you and your girlfriend did not enjoy your birthday weekend. If you needed peace, quiet, romance or privacy you should not stay in a "resort" with 92 other units. There are many secluded cabins in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Golfview Resort is a family oriented atmosphere where children are welcome. With a location for families who intend on enjoying all the activities Pigeon Forge has to offer. During your stay you did not attempt to contact us concerning your issues. Had you have done so, we would of gladly refunded your money. The beds are commercial Serta hotel grade, sorry they were not comfortable to you. The walls are fire rated thickness, the same as in all major hotels. The hot tubs must turn on & off to maintain their temperature. The clean up was to put dirty dishes in dishwasher and take your trash to the container outside before checkout as with any rental.

Nice atmosphere but it depends on the neighbors

We stayed at the Mountain Endeavor cabin and although it was a very lovely duplex cabin, and located just a hop skip and a jump away from everything in pigeon forge, it did have a few drawbacks. The first being neighbors, thats an uncontrollable factor I know, ours unfortunately in the cabin next door were very very loud and to a certain point inconsiderate of their noise levels. The other might be the shower in the master suite, it was rather tiny and the low hanging metal strip attached to the shower door is a hazard for those of us whom are at least 5'11, clothesline city. Though all in all, the bed was very comfortable and a nice size, the televisions although a bit small, had a good many of the channels that most folks enjoy, we didn't use the kitchenette really but it was very well done. The Hot tub was very nice, a bit tricky to figure out the buttons but thats mostly my non-knowledge with hot-tubs, the jetted tub was nice but for those of us who are full-figured its a one seater. I'd definetly recommend this cabin for folks simply because of its location, its off the main strip for reduced traffic, but its location is solid enough where its near all the attractions such as the Dixie Stampede( Highly Recommend) and the Old Mill( Not so much). Also good breakfast spot, Reagan's The Broken Egg, for breakfast, very nice breakfast buffet but their menu items are sooo much better. Pros: Very nice size King Bed, Hot Tub, Location, very warm atmosphere, gas fireplace, full Kitchenette. Cons: Neighbors, shower, 1 ply toilet paper.

Great Cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It had everything that we needed and was the perfect size for our group (4 adults, 1 child). There were families with small children in the adjoining cabins but noise was never an issue. The location was also great. Always easy to get onto the main strip and easy access to everything. Thanks!

Wonderful Location!!

We stayed 4 nights (March 28-April 1). The location of the cabin is just WONDERFUL. About 2 mins to Old Mill Rest, Dixie Stampede and the grocery store. You can also take the back street from there and bypass the traffic on the parkway. Just take the little street that runs next to the creek. The kitchen had all the extras you would need to make anything. Freezer has an ice maker. It was absolutely wonderful and will stay there again. The only complaints that we have is that the bed upstairs wasn't very comfy. We all ended up sleeping in the living room. There is a queen size and twin size foutons that turn into sleepers. They were much more comfy than the bed. It was nice sleeping in front of the fireplace tho. It was very relaxing after being in the hot tub. There were lots of extra bedding and pillows found in the upstairs closet. Only other things were there isn't a step or anything to get into the hot tub. So be aware of that for people that may need extra help getting in and out. And then it does say screened in porch and yes its screened in. Only screened windows. So a few nights we were there it was extremely cold out in the hot tub porch and was chilly in the kitchen area. And lastly, our last night there, there were neighbors that came to stay. We came back around 8 or so from the Dixie Stampede show and could hear all of their conversations until we turned a TV on. They werent being loud, you could just hear everything through the walls and obviously on the screened in porch for the hot tub. We got up and left early this morning so hopefully we werent too loud for them. Also traveled with 3 kids ages 7, 5 and 3 months. So hope our baby getting up to feed wasnt a problem. We understood that this was a duplex and this could happen, so as long as you keep your TV on you wont hear anything. But we LOVED this cabin and will be back for our next vacation! The owner was wonderful to work with!! Even had an email by the time I got home telling me my security deposit was credited back, which was GREATLY appreciated! Thanks Connie, looking forward to renting from you again!!

Wonderful Anniversary getaway!

Guest: Refreshed and relaxed (South Carolina)
Date of Stay: 12/17/10 Review Submitted: 12/20/10

We rented this cabin for our anniversary and it was just perfect! We were concerned about driving on mountain roads during the winter, but this cabin is right off the main road and is so easy to get to! We enjoyed the fireplace and the private hot tube. A previous comment had us concerned about it being a duplex, but very private. The only noise we heard was muffled voices occasionally (no more then a hotel room would have). Can't wait to come back next year!! Thanks Connie for your quick responses to our questions, it was great!

This is not a cabin more like a apartment complex..It was clean we stayed one night due to a family situation but we will never stay again could not get a refund due to the sitiuation will not work with you..You can hear everything that goes on next door and even smell the food they cook..Not a cabin at all no privacy..This was the worst ever..I plan on letting everyone know about this one...Does say it is a duplex on listing in the middle but does not say anything about it on the receipt just says cabin..it is a joke..

Owner response:So very sorry that you didn't understand the meaning of "duplex". I wish that you would have ask me instead of just looking over it. I would have been glad to explain. Also, I'm sorry with the "situation" you had before leaving home. I'm sure with that happening it would not have mattered if the cabin had been a duplex or not.

Hi Connie, I just wanted to tell you (a little late) how much we enjoyed your cabin when we stayed in August. A friend of mine, Karen, is going to contact you about staying there in November. Hopefully it hasn't been booked! Thanks again for letting us use your home away from home! Melisa, North Carolina

Connie Just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with my wife and I. We had the most relaxing time enjoying the sights and surroundings. We have told all of our friends just how nice of a place we stayed in and had it not snowed I would have loved to played golf on what looked to be a very nice golf course. I had only one thing that caused me some problems and it was the water reservoir on the coffee maker. It leaked when I tried to make coffee but even with that I really enjoyed our stay. Connie -- We really enjoyed our stay to Mountain Endeavor from June 28-July 1. It was very clean and accomodating. It was just close enough to all the activities, yet not secluded. We will definitely be recommending your cabin to friends. Thank you! Elaina, Missouri
