To all of our friends, guests and colleagues: We are closing and selling our property, which includes the Carriage House, effective 4 September 2005. We thank all of you who have come to visit us over the past 5 years and wish you all well. Our children have "flown the coop", so we are selling our house and moving to be closer to them. We, ourselves, now, will be using this vacation site very regularly in the near future for our housing needs around the world. Maybe, then, we will meet again somewhere else in the world. God bless!

Not far from Downtown Victoria is a fully modern, two bedroom cabin/carriage house that has all of the benefits of a cosmopolitan capital city nearby and all of the activities expected for a relaxing restful vacation immediately at your front door!

This comfortable rental residence, tucked back in the trees behind the main house, had glimpses of beautiful Shawnigan Lake. (You did have full private waterfront access!) It sat on the edge of the new Trans-Canada Hiking Trail and not far from the site of the real last spike in the original Canadian Trans Continental Railway. This cozy two bedroom hide-away was perfect for the active sportsperson and family, as well as ideal for a more relaxed "let your cares drift away" holiday, away from the hustle of everyday life.

Whether you wanted to read and relax on our seven lakefront decks or be on the water swimming, skiing, or fishing, or in the mountains hiking and biking, or visiting and touring beautiful Victoria and Vancouver Island, our Carriage House was your ideal home away from home! Good bye to all.
