On a cold, rainy day here at home, my thoughts go back to our stay on Amelia! What a wonderful time - Bob and Linda's condo was very clean and comfortable, exactly as described. Furnishings just as pictured - wonderful sleeping!! Truly appreciated the fresh coffee furnished for breakfast on the screened, 2nd floor deck. The location is great - a couple of blocks from the ocean - and a short distance from many restaurants and the restored town of Fernandina Beach (many fun, interesting shops and restaurants in this area). Slider's and Sandy Bottoms are both on the ocean by public beaches, Cedar River (lunch prices until 4pm) and a DQ (try their MooLattes) within a block of the condo, Barbara Jean's Restaurant (near the end of Shave bridge) - wonderful shrimp and grits, T-Ray's burgers are hard to beat and The Surf, south on Fletcher Ave, has great outdoor seating. There is a very old cemetery, Bosque Bello, north on 14th that is worth your time. You can check online before you come, or go to the rec center on Atlantic Ave for more info. Old Town is also up 14th. Don't forget Moon River Pizza - The Special is delicious! Fun, funky place. Drive into Ft Clinch - the live oaks and Spanish moss make for a spooky ride :) - there is a small entrance fee. You can rent bikes at the fort. We have vacationed on Amelia Island many times but this was the first in a condo - and it was perfect. Would I go back? You betcha!!
Owner response:Wow!! What a great review--future guests can really use your specific information on location, great places to eat, fun activities, and other traveler hints. Thank you so much!! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay, and we sincerely look forward to your return. Our housekeepers were very impressed with how our place looked upon your departure, so thank you also for taking such good care of it during your stay! Bob

This Condo was in a very central location on Amelia Island and within walking distance to the beaches. The unit was very neat and comfortable with a large covered and screened deck. The kitchen was stocked with all of the utensils required for cooking in house. Overall we were very pleased and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I recently had my wedding in the beautiful Amelia Island area, and my bridesmaids and I rented this wonderful condo for a few days leading up to the wedding. This was the PERFECT place for us. There was plenty of space for us 5 girls (the 2 bathrooms and extra vanity/sink were definitely a help!), and we had ample space to get to hang out, cha, get ready in the mornings, etc. The kitchen and washer/dryer were great to have handy as well! I would definitely recommend staying here. It is a great little getaway so close to the beach (within easy walking distance), and it is in a nice, quiet, and secluded complex. Plus, it's so much cheaper than staying at a hotel...the savings just can't be beat. And going through the process of renting couldn't be easier! Rob and Lin were great and I would definitely stay here again.
Owner response:Bethany, We are delighted you chose our condo to prepare for your wedding. We figure if we can accommodate five women getting ready for a wedding, we can handle nearly any group! We very much appreciate your kind comments, and we would love to have you stay with us again--perhaps for a second honeymoon or an anniversary? In any case, we look forward to having you as guests again. Bob & Linda

We enjoyed our staying at your condo!! It is very clean and close to the beach and lots of things to do. We love going to Sliders and down town Fernandina. We are recommending it to all our friends and relatives. Thank you!!!
Owner response:LeRoy & Marge, Thanks for returning to our condo for your second visit! We loved having you back!! Thanks also for recommending us to your relatives and friends. Referrals and returns are so important to us. We are glad you like Sliders and downtown Fernandina Beach. We hope the city and the Island can retain that small town feel! Bob and Linda

Great, quiet place to stay. Across from the beach, but a very nice trail that leads to the beach. Close to many nice shops and great sea food! We would highly recommend this condo. Clean and well taken care of by great care takers, on the premises.
Owner response:Tony--Thanks for your review, and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for setting the record for the most visits to our condo! This is number SIX if my count is correct!! We have 2 small children and needed a place to stay for one night while I competed in a race in Fernandina Beach. The owners were very accommodating and the unit is clean and comfortable.
Owner response:David, We are so pleased we were able to help you and your young family with your last-minute need for a place to stay during your race. As you said when we set up the booking, a condo can be much more comfortable for a family of four than a hotel room. We hope to see you in the future for a longer stay! Bob and Linda

The condo was clean, comfortable and the right price. We have been to Amelia Island many times and usually stay on the beach. This trip we booked Robert and Linda's condo to save money and enjoy the many wonderful restaurants there. One night we picked up fresh shrimp from Mayport and steamed them in our well stocked kitchen. Your porch is a great place for morning coffee and to plan the days activities with the guides and menus you provided. We didn't mind the short walk to the beach because it gave us a chance to see the beautiful live oaks on our way. Thanks for sharing your condo with us for a week of good eating and relaxing. It is a great place to stay on the island and we will return.
Owner response:Pam--We are delighted you and your family chose our condo for your Amelia Island vacation, and we do hope to see you again next year. Linda has returned your full deposit (thanks for taking such good care of our place), and she added an incentive for your to return for another stay with us! I sure endorse the idea of buying fresh seafood in Mayport, or off the dock at Fernandina Beach by the Amelia River, and then cooking it in our kitchen. Great way to have delicious food at a reasonable cost. We will be there in a few weeks (mid December) and we too look forward to spending a quiet time on the porch relaxing and planning. Thanks for your business. Bob and Linda

Owner response:Robin, Thanks for your nice comments, and it will be our pleasure to have you stay with us again. We like the quiet also, yet we like being close to the beach and downtown Fernandina. We will be down in December--just as it is getting COLD here in Iowa! Bob & Linda

We stayed in this condo for a few days in August for a quick get away from Orlando; It is very clean, well stocked, spacious, and the porch is a nice bonus; the owners have beach gear readily available and that helped! Owners were very curteous and attentive to our needs; they checked in with us a few times to make sure we got in ok and were able to check in as we had arrived fairly late; the cleaning crew being next door and avilable in the event there are any issues made us feel comfortable. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!
Owner response:Michael--Thank you for choosing our condo for your brief holiday. We do appreciate your nice comments. I will pass your comments along to Jeannie and Gabe, our wonderful housekeepers who, as you say, live right next door! We are so appreciative of them and how they take care of our guests! Please stay with us again if your travels take you to Fernandina Beach.

My wife and I and our two boys went to Ameilia Island for a triathlon that my wife was running. The location was perfect. While there, we enjoyed a great time at the beach and good food. The condo was easy walking distance to the beach. The condo was clean and comfortable. The pictures represent exactly what you will see when you get there. There are a couple of beach chairs and boogie boards that we could use on the beach too. I believe that the price for the condo is very fair. I would highly recommend this condo.
Owner response:Steven, It was great to have your family in our condo while there for your wife's triathlon! Most of our guests do not come with such ambitious vacation plans, but we are delighted it worked out well for you. We do appreciate your endorsement and hope to see you again soon!

My family and I stayed at your wonderful condo at Amelia Landing for the 3rd time. We were there 06/25-07/02. The condo is just as described and a wonderful home away form home. All the amenities are there. We came down for an All Girl's Getaway, my Mom, my Aunt, My daughter and my niece. We had awesome weather, a couple of scattered showers, but that was usually in the afternoon when we were resting up to go shop! The beach was nice and we had just enough waves for the girls to boogie board. We were happy to find some new places to shop and eat. Thank you so much for being so kind to us. We will definitely be back! My grandmother was missed greatly on this trip, as you remember she always came with us. We marked the 1 year anniversary of her passing on July 1st, grateful we were all together in such a special place that she had enjoyed also. Thanks again, Andrea Frenzl and Family
Owner response:Andrea--what a delight it was to have you and your family back with us. Thank you for being a three-time repeat customer. You may have received a "Thank You" card with a coupon for an additional percentage off your nightly rate the next time you book with us. It appears each time you come you find new and fun places to eat, shop, visit, etc. Linda and I do the same thing every time we come down. I am saddened by the loss of your grandmother; I know how much she enjoyed those trips with you. Our thoughts are with you. Bob

The condo was perfect for us. We were exactly where we wanted to be; a nice secluded area with lots of shade and then only a walk or bike ride to the beach. Everything was quiet and peaceful; the pool was warm and well taken care of as were all the grounds. We enjoyed having coffee and breakfast on the lanai in the morning! And we even saw a family of Armadillos in the back area when we went around to check on the trailer. We'd love to be able to stay there all the time! Thank you.
Owner response:Cathie & Fred, Thank you for choosing our condo for your Amelia Island vacation. It sounds like it suited you perfectly! Linda and I always head to the screened lanai as soon as we arrive--we love it morning, afternoon, and night! Glad you got to see the armadillos--interesting creatures aren't they? They are very prevelant in Florida; too prevalent some would say! Please come back to see us when you can. Bob & Linda

While not a modern Condo, it was very clean, well equipped and totally functional. A short drive to the beach was more practical than the walking distance. The local Sliders Beach restuarant was convenient with very good food and evening live entertainment. Just a few miles from Historic Fernandina Beach. Having the amiable Condo manager next door and the private screened-in porch were two pluses.
Owner response:Thank you for that review. We are glad that we have good renters such as you folks that appreciate our condo. My wife and I walk the distance to the beach, but we do know some prefer to drive. Fortunately, the parking is great at the beach access for those who do wish to drive over to carry beach gear, food and drink, etc. Glad you liked the porch--we do also!!

We had a great experience with this rental. Very spacious, clean, bright and quiet. Loved the outside screened in deck overlooking the trees and flowers. Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach. We have three kids and they loved how there were tv's in every room, games etc. Very family friendly. Definitely would recommend it!
Owner response:Dear Georgia Guests: Thank you so much for the five-star rating and for your great comments. You may know we recently started using new housekeeping services--Gabe and Jeannie are great! So glad the place was "clean and bright" for you. Linda and I love the screened porch also. We always head there first when we arrive! Let me guess, the kids helped make the trip to the beach a fast walk! Linda and I walk it in about five minutes also, if we don't dawdle looking at the flora and fauna!! We continue to add to the amenities to increase the welcoming atmosphere--thanks for pointing it out. We find that guests have been adding a little to our small collection of books, movies, games, etc. We do appreciate that. Please come back to see us.

My husband and I along with two friends rented the condo for 4 days and it was great. Bob and Linda are very nice and very informative on the area. They sent packets of information on what there is to do on the island and have information in the condo. the condo itself is in an awesome spot real close walk to the beach. While we were there the weather was supposed to be horrible, but it by passed us 2 days that we were able to enjoy the island and all it had to offer, including an amazing Kayaking trip. The nights that it rained we enjoyed the screened in balcony playing euchre and enjoying the nice cool breeze. They have everything there you would need, beach towels, umbrellas, kids toys, and all the living necessities pots, pans, etc. I loved it there :) sad to go but missed my children maybe next time i will bring them because it would be great to go again :)
Owner response:Hello Jess and others in your party, We are so happy you had a great time in our condo and on the Island. We appreciate your feedback on the information packet we sent. We do try to keep up to date with helpful maps and brochures to make it easier for your to navigate the Island. Linda and I have not tried Kayaking, but I am so pleased the weather was good and you folks were able to get out on the water! Next time, bring the kids. We sleep six, remember!

Robert and Linda make everything very simple to complete. Their condo is a wonderful place that is well positioned for many activities. The community is quiet and beautiful. There are many many extras that make your stay very comfortable. There are many activities in and around the island that make your vacation as action packed or relaxing as you would like. You could just spend your entire vacation relaxing in the condo community and have a fabulous time. ENJOY!!!
Owner response:To the Happy Beachcombers: Your review made us happy! Thank you so much, and thank you for choosing our condo for your Amelia Island stay. You are right that how you choose to enjoy your stay on the Island is up to you--there is so much to do that we recommend our guests come back frequently (and stay with us, of course!). This time of year (early fall) is particularly great--moderate temperatures, plenty of fall activities and time to relax. Ride a ferry or horse, go sailing or fishing, shop and stroll downtown, visit the lighthouse or historic Fort Clinch, tour the Eight Flags museum or attend live theater, so much to do. Oh, and don't forget the beach!

enjoyed our holiday weekend at you condo. All the extras were a plus for a short trip, from the sunscreen to the beach chairs and all we thank you. The weather was a little hazy in the afternoon but it was a relaxing weekend. Your location is wonderful for a quick walk to the beach, to dinner for dessert at DQ. Did not have to drive around looking for someplace to go. Just walk right on down. Condo nice and the pool was a nice large one. Not crowded at all. We look forward to another visit in the spring/summer next year. Will definately be back again.
Owner response:Pat and family, Thank you for choosing our condo for your Amelia Island vacation and for your nice comments about our place. We agree the location is so central to many locations and activities. Glad you liked the DQ--can't go wrong there in the summer time! We do look forward to having you return next year. We had a very good time staying in this condo, which is noted by the 4 stars (I usually don't give out 5s!). Some of the things we thought were great were: - the information packet about Amelia Island we received from Bob and Linda before our trip - the *wonderful* mattress on the bed (very new and firm. aaaah.) - the use of the great h-e washer and dryer - kitchen fully stocked with a coffee grinder and a great sharp knife (we love to cook) - the use of sand toys/beach mats, etc. It was definitely as advertised and we'd stay here again. There wasn't quite enough time to recover from all the wear and tear of the previous guests, but Kelly addressed all the issues within a day and throughout, our interactions with her and the owners were great: not only professional, but highly courteous. Thanks very much for opening your place up to us!
Owner response:Thank you so much for choosing to stay in our condo, and for your wonderful review. We did have a bit of wear and tear, as you mentioned, and I know Kelly was still working when you folks arrived. Thank you for your patience! We do hope you will think of us again when your travels take you to Amelia Island. Bob

I just wanted to take the time and say how nice your condo was. Bob and Linda you left out no details when it comes to your condo. The kitchen was fully stock with everything you needed to cook with and I love the fact that the washer/dryer was right in the kitchen & with three kids laundry was an every other day event. The location to the beach was very nice (5 min walk w/kids 10 min w/out) and the beach was very clean. Thank you again for letting us stay in your condo. Thank you again Karen Rook
Owner response:Karen and Family: Thank you so much for your kind comments. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found everything in the condo to your liking. We like having the washer and dryer so handy also, and I am sure with three kids with you the easy access to the W/D made your days a bit easier! So far, the Atlantic Ocean, and certainly our far northern location, has been spared any spilled oil. We hope that the problem is solved soon so persons living on the Gulf can get back to normal lives. We do hope you will consider choosing our condo again if your travels bring you to Amelia Island for business or pleasure. Bob and Linda

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo and it was everything that it was advertised to be. We felt like we were in our home because of the comfort level. The location is perfect for going to the beach and easy access to downtown activities. We enjoyed the fact that the condo was so well stocked that we had everything we needed including amenities in the kitchen. What a find for our week in Amelia Island. We enjoyed the historical museum, downtown walking tour, the two hour boat tour, Lindsley Plantation, walking on the beach, especially at sunrise, farmer's market, parade, and attending Mass at the beautiful old church. We spent 2 days at Fort Clinch which was our most favorite thing to do. It is beautiful there and is a must see for all ages. All in all our stay was great. Bob and Linda were very helpful with sending us information about things to do. We enjoyed eating at Sliders, T-Rays, and the Irish Pub. We would highly recommend this condo to others and plan to tell our friends about it. Thanks to Bob and Linda for sharing their condo with us and making us so comfortable.
Owner response:What a great review from Don and Char! They were wonderful renters, and we were delighted to have them stay in our condo for their Amelia Island vacation. They are right about the location--perfect for the beach, downtown, shopping, sightseeing, and more. We do appreciate also that they mentioned our amenities. We do try to keep the kitchen properly stocked for a stay in our condo. Just bring your fresh foods in, and you will have what you need to prepare economical meals for your family and/or friends. We sure endorse the sites that Don and Char recommended, as well as their suggestions for getting started on some favorite eating spots. You do have to return to Amelia several times to really explore the possibilities. Please get in touch if you want to have an unforgettable Amelia Island experience.

from Don and Sara, Massachusetts 2 weeks in Jan. 2010 We had visited Amelia Island once before and loved it then, but staying in your condo made our stay this year much more comfortable. Bob and Linda, thanks for being such attentive long-distance "hosts" as well. We truly were sorry to leave, and hope to return. For other visitors we especially recommend the History Museum, long walks in the nature reserve, the Cumberland Island 2-hr cruise, a visit to St. Mary's, and the red snapper at the fish market on the wharf!
Owner response:Don & Sara, Thank you so much for your kind comments. You folks were such a pleasure to work with in making the arrangements to stay in our condo. We are delighted you had a wonderful time on the Island. Thank you very much for passing along those tips to future guests. We very much agree with the suggestion to visit the museum, and you sure can't beat the seafood in the area! We plan to take the Cumberland Island cruise the next time we are there. We stayed in your lovely condo November 6-13 and had a marvelous time. Your villa had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Everything worked properly, including the high speed internet, which was very important to us. After a full day of Geocaching in various areas, it was great to return to the villa for a cocktail and then enjoy dinner at one of the many nearby restuarants. Getting around was easy and the weather was great. We especially enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We never used the stove but that's another reason it was a great vacation. If we return to Amelia Island, we will definately stay in our condo.
Owner response:Susan & Jerry: Thanks for your gracious comments, and thanks especially for choosing our condo for your Geocaching. We are so glad your searching was a so successful! I learned a bit about this fascinating activity by doing a little research; what a great way to see the world! A home away from home. The condo was as described and then some. They provided lots of little extras to make it very convenient. Pool was super clean. We were amazed how quiet the place was in July. It is a very short walk to the beach. It took us 5 minutes with 2 kids to get there. I do like the fact that you can drive on the beach and leave everything in our car next to us (except the kids). We ate at Ciao Italian restaurant. Awesome food with HUGE portions. Expect to bring home a goodie bag. We highly recommend this condo.
Owner response:Dear Lynch Family: Thank you so much for those helpful comments. Linda and I make it to the beach in five minutes, but it is good to hear that you can also do it with a couple of kids! I do have mixed feelings about cars on the beach, but at least it is a very small parking area, and cars do not drive up and down the shore line!! We are definately planning to hit the Ciao for chow the next time we are there--glad you liked it. Bob & Linda

My husband, who was a skeptic about how convenient your condo would be to get to the beach, was amazed at the quick, easy walk. My finicky kids loved (almost!) every restaurant we went to. (Our favorite was Pompeo's: Mario really needs to bottle that marinara sauce!)And I think I gained 10 pounds because we went to the ice cream shop (Fantastic Fudge) nearly every day. Yummmmm! For those visiting, don't miss the sunset cruise from Amelia cruises. The pic that Bob has of the sunset is how gorgeous it really looks, plus we saw tons of dolphins, wild horses and even wild boar on our journey. Ft. Clinch and the re-enactors there were also great and we found incredible shells at both the Clinch beach and the one near the condo. Bob and Linda, if you'll have us, we'll definitely come back again!
Owner response:Dear Heimbrock Family, What a great guest book entry! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. We're pleased that you enjoyed what Amelia Island has to offer, and we do appreciate your telling our future guests about your experiences. And, yes, we will definitely be happy to have you as our guests the next time you are able to visit the Island! Bob & Linda

Bob and Linda, Thanks again for allowing us to come to the condo. It was our third trip. We love Amelia Island like you all do. The weather was beautiful (06/14-06/21)! We visited Barbara Jean's twice...the food is wonderful. Found the new chocolate shop by Publix, awesome chocolate and nice people! Beach was great and most days we had the pool to ourselves. Thanks again, we hope to come back next year! Andrea Frenzl and Family
Owner response:Andrea, We were so happy to have you and your family return to our condo for the third year! Thank you so much for your continued business with us. Barbara Jean's was one of our earliest eating places when we "discovered" Amelia Island. We loved it too. Glad you found the chocolate store by Publix. What a great compliment to the ice cream and candy store downtown! See you next year! Bob and Linda

We enjoyed our stay at your condo in mid-may '08. It was exactly what your ad says, comfortable and homey. We used our time to thoroughly explore the island and can only say, we'll be back. The computer hook-up was flawless and fast. Thanks for everything.
Owner response:Paul, Thanks so much for your nice comments. We do hope your wife is feeling better. Please come visit us again when your travels take you to Amelia Island. Bob and Linda

The apartment was a nice homely place to come back to. Everything was there for a trouble free holiday. The location was excellent. A short walk to the wonderful beach and shops. We did not venture into the pool as it was November and a little chilly. We loved the peaceful location and watching the birds and wildlife from the balcony.
Owner response:Jane & Adrian, Thank you for choosing our condo for your visit to America and Amelia Island. It was a pleasure having you as our guest for your 2-week stay. We do hope you consider us again if your travel takes you our way; tell your countrymen--we love having visitors from other countries! Bob and Linda

Thanks for sharing your condo with us. We enjoyed the roominess (three ladies did not have to worry about stepping over each other)and amenities. It was a great walk to the beach, much cooler and closer than walking down Sadler. We would visit my aunt and family during the day/evening and had a nice place to "go home to" at night. Thanks again!
Owner response:Brenda, It was great having the three of you staying in our condo. Thanks for your nice commnents. We hope to see you again next year! Bob and Linda

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at RobLin Landings - the condo was very comfortable and had everything that we could possibly need. We loved all the little touches that made the condo seem like home - and made us feel like welcomed guests. We were especially grateful to have access to such a wonderful pool; the water was a perfect temperature and we had the pool to ourselves most days. Getting into Jax was a breeze. We enjoyed taking the "leisurely route" (A1A) into town. Thanks so much! We'll be back!
Owner response:Lyndele and Graham, We are so pleased that you had a great time in our condo. We do appreciate that you like our "homey touches." There is a fine line between comfortable hominess and overdoing it, so we are glad you approve. The pool is nice, we agree. We are often so busy when we get to use the condo that we can't really appreciate how nice it is. We like the A1A route also; one does have to allow for more time, though. It certainly much longer that way than down the Interstate to Amelia Island. (PS: These folks must like our place--they are asking about another week's stay this November!!) Bob and Linda

We stayed on Amelia Island July 9-16, 2007. The weather was great and it was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation....just what we needed. We went to bed when we wanted to, slept late, read, swam, walked, shelled, really enjoyed the uncrowded beaches and there was minimal traffic to contend with in getting around the island. The condo was just right for the four of us (2 adults, 1 son, 1 daughter). It was clean and had all of the amenities we needed to make our trip to Florida all that it needed to be. I highly recommend it.
Owner response:Keith, Thanks for choosing our condo for your vacation and for your kind comments. Linda and I enjoy doing a lot of what you suggested--just relaxing and enjoying one of the best kept secrets in Florida--Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach. Please come back! Bob and Linda

We recently stayed at this wonderfully located apartment. We found shopping easy and grocery stores and resturants near by and the walk to the beach is a breeze. We stayed over the 4th of July and it was awesome. We could shoot off our own, along with hundreds of others celebrating and you had a panorama view of the harbor, main beach and the point of Amelia from N. fletcher. It was beautiful and fun. We had lived here years ago and it is fun for us to return and see how the island has changed and grown. We ate at lots of great places: Lulu's, Arte pizza, sliders, DQ and the surf, and Brett's water way cafe, just to name a few. The shops are always fun and people are so welcoming. This location is really one of the very best on the island and even though the apartment wasn't huge we never felt too close with all the t.v's and nice screen deck we had lots of space. We really loved the fantastic washer and dryer- our clothes would come out nearly dry before going into the dryer and I could do 2 full loads while I made dinner! WE would come back again and we found about 300 sharks teeth and our daughter rode a horse on the beach with Debbie Mazer from ride the beaches of Amelia- she is the best for any level rider. This is a wonderful rental and very reasonable too.
Owner response:Hi Jack and Mandy, What a very complete and thoughtful Guestbook entry! We are delighted you enjoyed yourself. Thanks for all those great tips on places to eat and play. We will have to get in touch with Debbie Mazer to let her know how much you enjoyed the horseback riding at her place. Your shark's teeth success is fantastic! We have been told by others that one of the best spots in Florida is on Fernandina Beach--your success suggests that is right! We hope you see you again next year. Bob and Linda

Bob and Linda: Your condo is wonderful! I like the location, shady and the walk to the beach is easy. Ate at Sliders. Lovely pool!! We were the only ones there several times. Will likely come back.
Owner response:Mike and Family, We are really pleased that you liked our little oasis! We love that walk also, and we certainly agree that Sliders is a real treat. I suppose the beach is the main draw, but we have been surprised also that the great pool is sometimes not very occupied. Very peaceful place to relax, read, swim, sun. Please come back if you can.

Thank you so much Bob and Linda. What a great time we had. Stayed in your condo with friends from Miami, Fl. So relaxing and there was nothing we can say negative. Loved sitting on the balcony each morning with my coffee. We toured around the island a good deal but the best was just relaxing at the beach and then the pool. I am sure we will go back again and hope we will be lucky enough to stay at your place again. Thank you..
Owner response:Susan & Rick--Thank you for choosing our condo on Amelia Island and for your very nice comments. We are glad you were able to both enjoy traveling around the island and find time to just relax. We look forward to having you as guests again. Bob and Linda

What a week! Thanks Bob and Linda. This was our second stay at your lovely condo. We were not disappointed. We had a great week. Weather was nice, one day of rain but it cleared up by the afternoon and we played putt-putt. The beach was nice and we loved the pool. Once again we had delicious food at Barbara Jean's. We were disappointed that KP's Deli had closed. We ate there twice last year. Thanks for allowing us to stay and we will hopefully be back next year. Andrea Frenzl and family North Augusta, SC
Owner response:Andrea, It was great to have you and your family back for a second visit! Thanks for your nice comments. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Out stay in your condo was wonderful. We felt so at home. It had everything we needed. The washer and dryer were such a blessing! Especially for drying wet suits and towels. We loved the convenience of walking to restaurants, the grocery store, and the beach yet at the condo, you would never know everything was so close. We visited St. Augustine which was lovely and Fort Clinch State Park. We didn't want to leave. It had so much to do. We toured the Historic District and fell in love with Amelia Island. We will be back. We may not have to go anywhere else, ever!
Owner response:What a pleasure it was to have Mike and Linda as guests in our condo for a week's stay this month! They really enjoyed themselves, and we so much appreciate the kind comments. They told us in another correspondence how much they enjoyed our screened balcony. We agree--it is the first place we head when we arrive at the condo ourselves. We want you back, guys--just let us know when you want to return! Bob and Linda

My wife, our 7 and 8 year old daughters, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rob & Linda's place. Upon entering the front door, it was obvious they had paid close attention to many details. There was a bottle of wine on the table for us. There was a discount card for the local grocery store (about 0.5 mi from condo)which helped us save a few dollars while there. The pool passes were on the table. A book of coupons for area eating and entertainment establishments was available. Many other little touches are too numerous to mention. There was enough room for everyone. The place is very well kept. While it is not luxurious (nor do they charge luxury money), it is quite confortable. We immediately felt at home. Thank you for a wonderful time April 4 - 8, 2007. My only regret is our schedule did not permit a full week at your condo. Should we visit Amelia Island again (and I'm sure we will), I will check availability at your place. Most Sincerely, Sherwood
Owner response:Sherwood and Deborah We were so delighted to read your Guest Book comments. Your thoughtful feedback is very much appreciated. We are so glad the coupons, discount card, gift, etc. were useful to you. We will be delighted if you choose to stay with us again during your next trip to Amelia Island. It was a pleasure working with you from the very first contact to happily sending you your full deposit refund! Bob and Linda

What a wonderful week. Bob and Linda's condo was a great place to base our golf week at Amelia Island. The roominess for 2 couples was welcome as was the location of the 2 bedrooms. We thought we would have to walk further to the beach but what a pleasant surprise. The surroundings are beautiful and the screened balcony was very relaxing. We felt very secure. We will surely be returning. Thanks Bob and Linda
Owner response:It was nice to be able to host our northern nieghbors, Marlene and Rollie from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. We are so glad they enjoyed the short walk to the beach and, one of our favorite spots in the condo, the screened balcony. It is a great way to start and end the day. Please come back folks, and bring more of your Canadian friends. Bob and Linda

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Amelia Island at Bob and Linda's condo. The condo is very clean, attractively decorated, and well-appointed with all the necessities and extras that make it a very comfortable home-away-from-home. Thanks for all the great suggestions as well - we enjoyed Slider's Restaurant, and we did a lot of bike-riding on the wonderful hard sand beach. We hope to return for another visit in the future!
Owner response:It is rare that we get to meet our guests, since they are usually there while we are in Iowa. But, we were in Fernandina Beach on business during their stay and got to meet Brian and Jessica and their one-year-old (who practiced his newly-learned skill of frowning on us!). It was a pleasure to meet them. Brian gave us some tips on setting up a wireless network, and we plan to do that when we get down there the next time so guests will have a choice of direct cable or WIFI. They are a wonderful young couple and were delightful guests. I endorse their suggestion of Sliders on the beach. Come back again you two.

Several things make this condo special: (1) its location: not only an easy walk to the beach, but amidst a beautiful number of mature trees which provide a welcome sanctuary after a day in the sun; (2) the MANY little things done by the owners to make life pleasant for guests: beach equipment, large waste baskets, three televisions, an easy to clean stovetop, etc. etc.; (3)a wonderful large screened-in porch to which the pictures do not do justice (4) the very reasonable rates. We, too, have fallen in love with Amelia Island, and when we return, hope to stay in Bob/Lin's condo.
Owner response:Mark, Thank you so much for your nice comments. We appreciate the specific nature of what you enjoyed in our condo. It would be GREAT if you were able to come back for a return visit. Bob and Linda

Bob and Linda, Your condo was just lovely. All the ammenities were provided and the beach chairs were such a nice plus!! The deck was wonderful and we enjoyed many evening chats and morning before beach coffee on the deck. We loved our visit to Cumberland Island and the downtown historic district. We also enjoyed our visit to St. Augustine. Fernandina Beach has many great restaurants and we enjoyed each and every meal. The pool was absolutely lovely. Many days we had the pool to ourselves. What a nice break from the beach. The weather was perfect!!! Couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation!!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!!! Your condo will be recomended to many we know!!!! Sharon and Lewis Berkemeier
Owner response:Sharon & Lewis, You folks were great guests. Your deposit refund is on its way! We are so pleased that you found the experience at our condo so pleasurable. We really love the balcony ourselves, and we enjoy having our coffee and meals out there as well. We haven't made it to Cumberland yet, but we plan to soon. Thanks for your recommendation. We look forward to having you folks and any of your friends as guests sometime in the near future. Bob and Linda

Dear Bob and Linda, Thank you so much for letting us use your comfortable little condo in Amelia Island. You provided everything we needed for our week long stay and if we needed something Wal-mart wasn't too far away. We had great weather and the ocean was warm enough. We found a beach (Huegenot-sp??-Memorial Park-entrance fee was 50 cents per person) that let you drive right up to the water, if you wanted to. With two small children, it was so much easier to pack up the car, drive onto the beach, park, get out and play. We regret not finding this beach earlier in our stay because we would have been there every day. We would visit again for nothing more than going to that beach. It was a great find. By the way, the queen bed was super comfortable!!
Owner response:Jenny and Family, Thanks so much for your nice comments about our condo. You have enlightened us about the Huguenot Memorial Park. I looked up the Web site and it does look great! (If other guests want to check it out, just do a search for Huguenot Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL. It looks like it is about a 15-20 mile drive down the First Coast Highway--A1A--which is a drive we highly recommend anyway.) Thanks also for the nice comments about the queen bed in the master bedroom. We have received compliments about that before, and it is always gratifying to hear that our guests are getting a great night's sleep after a day of activities around the Island. Please come back again. Bob and Linda

Dear Bob & Linda, We just want to drop you a line to say how great a time we had staying in your condo. The problem with the A/C did not diminish the over-all enjoyment of our stay. I want to add that the bed in the master bedroom is by far the most comfortable I've slept in in a long time. I just did not want to get up in the morning!! The whole condo is very well appointed and the appliances are excellent. We look forward to staying at your place again next year, God willing. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused with my phone calls and really appreciate the consideration you gave to our concerns. You are wonderful people to deal with. Thanks again George and Rebecca

Rebecca and I are very happy we found your listing. Your condo is indeed very nicely appointed and comfortable to stay in. Aside from an early A/C issue which Rob quickly addressed and resolved, our vacation was enjoyable and everything we could have wished for. We will definitely book for next year. Thanks, Rob and Linda.
Owner response:It was great to have George and Rebecca staying in our condo. They were most understanding and accomodating when we had to disrupt them with an air conditioning repair. We gave them a partial refund and a discount if they choose to rent with us again. Thanks, guys--hope to see you again. Bob and Linda
