Beaver Village condominiums are just two miles from the Winter Park Ski Resort and in easy walking distance of the many shops and restaurants in the town of Winter Park.
Our two-bedroom, two-bath unit has new carpet throughout and a slate entry, kitchen, and hall. It sleeps seven comfortably in its two large bedrooms and on the new, queen-size, sleeper sofa. There is a queen-size bed in one bedroom and a twin with bunk beds in the other. Cots are available if needed. Each bedroom has a closet, dresser, and full bath. The master bedroom includes a TV with cable service and VCR. Cell phone service is excellent; the landline is no longer operable, so bring your cell. No smoking is permitted in the unit.
The living area includes a thermostatically-controlled gas fireplace, new couch and easy chair, cable TV with DVD, and a CD/stereo system. The dining table seats six comfortably, and a bar between the dining area and kitchen provides additional seating. The full kitchen, including a refrigerator/freezer, electric range/oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, is completely stocked with cooking utensils, table settings, and glassware to meet all your needs. Sliding glass doors lead to a private balcony overlooking the aspen and lodgepole pine forest that surrounds the building.
You can see the ski area from the south-facing front deck. During ski season, a free shuttle bus stops every 30 minutes (15 minutes during morning and afternoon peaks) in the parking lot right in front of the unit and eliminates the hassle of driving and parking at the ski area. The local bus network, accessible from near the clubhouse, also provides free year-round access throughout the towns of Winter Park and Fraser, getting you to local restaurants and stores easily.
The Beaver Village clubhouse is a short walk from the condominium and features a fireplace lounge, meeting room, an indoor pool, three hot tubs, sauna with full locker facilities, and laundry facilities. Free wireless high speed Internet access is available in the unit, so bring your laptop to check email or to get updates on road/airport conditions. The friendly staff at the clubhouse can give you the latest information on local events and activities and answer all your questions.
The Winter Park area and Grand County is a hotbed for year-round adventure and can provide for everything from fun family outings to extreme outdoor challenges. Fishing, white-water rafting, boating, horseback riding, hiking, and wildlife viewing opportunities are all close by, with access to Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park just a short drive north.
There are over 600 miles of bike trails that can be accessed right from the condominium, ranging from mellow paved trails along the Fraser River to extreme downhill singletrack that can challenge the most demanding rider. There are numerous options for golf or tennis in the Fraser River valley. Other activities and events include hot-air balloon rides, music, art, and craft festivals. |
