This rustic log cabin is in the heart of Valle Crucis and convenient to all tourist attraction. It is decorated in mountain décor from antler chandeliers to carved bears, and new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, with hand hewn logs beams, wood burning fireplace, decks, hot tub, breathtaking view and a road down to the river for fishing. Rarely does a house have both view and river but this one does.
The combination living room, dining room and kitchen is a warm and cozy room made more so by the furniture that adorns this home. Everything is nice. There is a view from every wrap-around window and set off by the river stone fireplace. Walk from this level onto the 12 X 20 ft. covered porch with swings, rockers and wonderful dining table while looking at one of the better views around. Not only can you see the river meandering through the valley but there is also a long range view of tall mountain vistas. Rarely does one house offer a view like this AND have river frontage on the property.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all amenities. And again, dining in or out is a wonderful treat with that view out of all the windows.
The master bedroom and private bath with claw-tub bath and view of the valley, has a king sized bed with rustic furniture. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed with private bath and walk-in shower. It is also decorated in the mountain style. The loft features two twin beds.
The basement level offers another bedroom with king bed and futon. This room also has a view and adjoins another deck that walks onto the Gazebo with 6 person hot tub, again looking over that view.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with nearby Almost Heaven and Moose Preserve.
Depending on the home, Blue Ridge Vacation Cabins recommends 4WD, chains or sometimes both when visiting the mountains in winter. We are happy to help you find the home with the winter access you are most comfortable with.

The cabin is so comfortable and warm! The view is breathtaking! Lots of cycling done this week bu our family. Grandfather and 221. Close to our friends who live off of 194. Our Thanksgiving week was perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped. Thanks for the turkey pan! We had a great time at St Johns Ridge. We found everything we needed to be comfortable; the view was fantastic; and we feel totally relaxed!! We also loved Valle Crucis but also found that we could easily get to Blowing Rock and Boone to be tourists. Given the traffic in both towns it was wonderful to retreat to our cabin on the hillside. What a wonderful, cozy cabin. You've thought of everything one could wish for. I didn't even want to leave to do the usual tourist things.
