We recently stayed at the 5bd/5bth unit in Portofino property - 8 of us total. Despite a little hiccup in the beginning, the accommodations were great. The unit was beautiful and has absolutely amazing views. The location of Portofino is exceptional with walking distance to the big nightclubs and restaurants, as well as a fantastic 24-hr 'Surfin' Burrito spot next door - trust me, the burritos are excellent and exactly what you need as you stroll home at night! Above all else, the service that the owner and his managers provide is outstanding. I think a lot of hotels need to learn a thing or two from these people. Arturo & Michael are the best of the best in my opinion. ANYTHING we needed, we received. We needed a shuttle - they asked what time and it was provided. Seriously anything we needed they delivered. Anytime I emailed the owner, he responded immediately. We would highly recommend this unit or other properties of this owner not only from the accommodations provided, but the service received. You will be taken care of well! That in my opinion makes for an amazing trip.

Magnificant 50th birthday celebration

I hesitantly booked this condo in Cancun for my husbands surprise 50th birthday. We had heard such horrible stories of how unsafe cancun was and how americans were always getting cheated on accommodations...well I am here to tell you this owner and manager are the REAL DEAL!!!! We had 4 couples in our group and could not have been treated any better....The accommodations were SPECTACULAR..and I will tell you..we are not a group of Hilton travelers-- we prefer the Four Seasons and this is BETTER than the Four Seasons! The area is SO SAFE- Scott and Ernie really make sure you have the best trip you could ever imagine..I can not say enought good things about the entire trip.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

North Carolina Family Vacation

Our family finally took an "exotic' vacation and the Portofino 1701 was perfect for our trip! Everthing that was promised, was delivered! Ernie , our private concierge was fantastic! The condo had all the luxurys we could ask for with plenty of room to spare. The property is very well maintained, plenty of security to make you feel safe, and the best property we have stayed at in all of our trips to Cancun. Located in the heart of everything, the Portofino 1701 could not be more perfectly located! The view was breathtaking from all corners on the 17th floor. Scott, our contact, was great to work with, very responsive to our questions, and very flexible with our requests. If your next trip is to Cancun and you want to be treated like royalty, call Scott and let Ernie and Christie pamper you during your vacation!

It was far better than our experience at the Ritz, or Le Meridien, or Marriott. Your pictures do not even do the place justice. Your service was far better than expected. My kids and I are coming back. We really did feel like we were floating with a 360 degree view. All the support, and unbelievable amenities really impressed my husband. All the gadgets and communications, internet, games, TVs all made us feel like we were constantly connected to home, while being at home in an exotic place. We have VRBOed a few times, all were excellent, yours was by far the best. Another big difference, your service and quality. Even the beds and Towels were better than a Four Seasons. Can hardly wait to go again.

I just wanted to say we had a great time. Very rarely do things go as expected on a vacation. he condo is PHENOMENAL..It was a easy transition from home to the condo. Everything we needed and wanted was within walking distance or a $10 taxi ride, even going to the golf course. I plan on returning at some point and have recommended to all of my friends that asked, and even some that didn't ...LOL Thanks and we'll talk about my nxt vacation by years end Please feel free to post this in your comment section... This was a real vaccation, I wanted a place better than our fabulous home in Chicago, and this was it. Having a full refridgerator was incredible. The location was the best in Cancun. The service was so much better than anything we had seen in Mexcio, we had our own concierge, whow was from Boston, so there was no communications problems. Every concierge we ever had in Cancun was giving us wrong information before. The place is gorgeous. We had seen many other condos before we saw this one, and this is two levels better than some in the same building. Portofino is by far the best building in Cancun, nothing is even close.

I wanted to thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven in Cancun with our families. We had an amazing week and absolutely LOVED the condo and all that Portofino has to offer. The many advance photos of Sky Villa don't begin to show all of the terrific amenities and the beauty of this unit. This is truly a luxury condominium with lots of well thought out space... certainly enough for 8 adults. With thoughtful additions of free phone, free internet and computer and printer, you can stay in touch easily. " " One of the best attributes of this condo is the location... from the beauty of its location directly on the beach with beautiful views of the beach and the lagoon and the walking distance convenience to many restaurants, night clubs and shopping. (And, of course, the bus can quickly take you to any place in the city or in the hotel zone). " " Another amenity is having your own personal concierge who will fill the unit with food and other items you wish prior to your arrival, arrange for maid service, arrange transportation, etc. " " All in all this is the way to go ... the space, privacy and convenience of a luxury condominium plus location and service. We have stayed in many condominium units in Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Europe, etc and this is the best. " " We hope to return to this unit over and over."

Brand new place, excellent building, we will always stay here before any Five Star in Cancun. The Amenities and gadgets were better than the US. This was a lot more like a private estate, the beds were top notch, far better than expected, the maid service was excellent. We had a "private concierge" that showed up and really took care of us. All the appliances were new stainless steel. The view was incredible, the location, insane, we would stay at Sky Villa first on any trip. It was much less expensive than the JW Marriot, or equivalent.

Could not believe the size and all the goodies, they even gave us a laptop with unlimitted internet. Kids loved the guitar hero, everything was nice and new. The location was the greatest, the service and support was the best.

Chateau Venue far exceeded our expectations, I would recomend it for anyone who needs more room than the Destination Resorts, we would have needed 5 rooms, and you know what that is like. The amenities were superlative.
