My husband, daughter and grandson stayed in this apartment for a week in March of this year. It was a wonderful choice! The apartment was delightful: spacious, sparkling clean, convenient to nearby sites and public transportation. Paolo was available to help us with any questions. We will stay here again, and would recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Rome. Many thanks to Paolo!
Owner response:Connie, I'm very happy you that you had great time in Rome and that you enjoyed the apartment. The weather was good and you had the chance to enjoy the city with its squares, churches, monuments and smells. Arrivederci!!! Paolo

Thank you so much for a superb time in Rome. The apartment was everything we would wish for - very comfortable, clean and in an excellent location. Paulo was so helpful. He made arrangements for a taxi to collect us from the airport and take us to the apartment - where he was waiting to welcome us and show us the apartment. He recommended restaurants, which were close by and were so good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Paulo
Owner response:Ciao, thank you so much for your kind words! I am so happy that you enjoyed Rome, the food, the monuments and the apartment, too. I hope to have the opportunity to have you and your family as my guests soon and I wish you all the best for the upcoming 2012! Arrivederci a Roma! Paolo

We first made contact with Paulo in January 2011 and began making our arrangements for our one week stay in Rome. Paulo was extremely helpful in arranging all the final details for our stay. There were six of us staying at the apartment. 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 toddler. We were due to arrive August 27th but decided to stay an extra night with family further south so we arrived on August 28th. We found the apartment to have all the necessary amenities and accomodated us all very well. Paulo even provided us with a playpen for our toddler to sleep in. It was quite a bit bigger than what we are use to in Canada and our toddler was very comfortable. The Colesseum was visible from the front doors of our apartment building and the location was conveniently located to bus, grocery, subway and sites. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and quiet. There was an elevator that brought us right up to the apartment which was very convenient for loading and unloading our luggage and although small is still fit our stroller. We unfortunately did not have a chance to personally meet Paulo but he arranged for his mother to meet us at the apartment and she provided us with all the information we needed. When I get the chance to return to Rome I would definately contact Paulo again. Thank you Paulo for providing such wonderful accomodation while we were in Rome!
Owner response:Ciao, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review! I am glad that you enjoyed Rome, the apartment and that you appreciated all my and my mother's efforts to make your vacation as nice as possible. I hope to have the opportunity to have you and your family as my guests soon and to meet you in person next time. Ciao da Roma! Paolo

We ( 5 sisters) just returned from a wonderful stay at Paulo's deluxe apartment and couldn't be happier about our experience. A driver ( arranged by Paolo) met us at the airport and we were whisked off to the apartment which more than exceeded our expectations! At the request of a sister who couldn't make the trip, Paulo even went out and purchased fresh flowers for/from her to have there on our arrival! He and his mother met us in the spotless and beautifully appointed apartment and showed us all around to make sure we understood how to use the appliances and make sure that everything was agreeable. The newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom were wonderful, and the open windows and sounds and smells of Italy were perfect! ( There is a bakery downstairs that starts baking for the new day every evening... unbelievable!! ) The old fashioned elevator was so much fun- and it felt like we were part of a neighborhood. During the week we contacted him both through email and phone on a couple of occasions to ask tourist questions and he was always available, always kind and happy to help. He arranged a day trip for us to Pompeii ( our driver, Gianni was excellent and very personable) and for a guide through the ruins. ( Guido was also wonderful- obviously loves the ruins and what they represent.) It was a memorable experience- well worth the cost. Then Gianni drove us to the seaside town of Positano where we had a wonderful lunch at a reasonably priced restaraunt that he suggested. We were seated at a table next to large open windows with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. We then drove further down so we could dip our toes in the sea! We are grateful to Paolo for all his guidance to arrange this day as well as all the resturaunt, churches and tourist attraction recommendations throughout our stay. The location of the apartment was perfect- a block from the bus stop, 2 blocks from the colloseum and a beautiful park next to the Domus Aurea. There were so many restaurants nearby- all were all wonderful. We were only about 4 blocks from a great little market where we could buy wine, fruit, bread, cheese and tomatoes. The hardest part of the whole trip was leaving..we really bonded with the apartment- loved coming home at the end of a day of sightseeing to open windows and relax with a bottle of wine at the kitchen table! Thank you Paolo and family- you were so gracious and we will be back!

Stayed for 10 days with my Husband and two teenage boys. The location was excellent and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The location felt safe, with many great restaurants near by. I would definately stay here again.

My husband and I took our 3 grandchildren, daughter and her husband on a trip to Italy. We rented the apartment in Rome for 5 days in the beginning of July, 2011. The apartment was great! Right in the middle of ancient Rome. Convenient to the Coloseum, Forum, Pantheon and many other famous sites. Large and airy, it slept us all fine, had modern conveniences and privacy between the bedrooms. I can't say enough about all the help Paolo gave us. Information on restaurants, supermarkets, and stores, in particular one for authentic murano glass jewelry. Everything was within walking distance from the apartment. He even called a auto rental for me when I was having difficulty with speaking to the agency and arranged for transport to the airport. All made our trip very successful. My son-in-law and grandchildren even took a gladiator lesson which the rest of us enjoyed even just watching! This was a short distance on apian way by taxi. Also, the Vatican was a short distance by taxi and a wonderfully memorable experience. We even climbed to the top of the Duomo. His staff also helped with our luggage both up to the apartment and down to the van. When we had difficulty changing our TV to English, they also helped. We had a most wonderful trip which we will always remember!

We had a great time. The furnishings were comfortable. Great location to visit Rome. Paolo helped us out with restaurant recommendations and directions to various locations. The kitchen was well equipped for when we wanted to make dinner at home. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks again.

The trip was so well organised from the taxi pick up at the airport (recommended) to the hand over to a spotlessly clean apartment to the final return to the aiport again by Taxi arranged by our host. We enjoyed complete confidence in the apartment and enjoyed all the recommended visits ,restaurants and local shopping tips. You will enjoy your stay with such fine organisation and care from your host. Not to mention this fine city to enjoy. John and Kim

We had a wonderful month in Rome. What an extravagance. The apartment was everything we could have wanted and better. The property was clean, well maintained and we explored much of Rome from the excellent transport (train, tram, busses and foot). We had two teenage children (12 and 18) and they had a wonderful time also. It is a friendly place and close to an excellent butcher, shops and places to visit. Paolo is a wonderful host. Plan to return soon!!
Owner response:Dear Pina and Bill, thank you very much for a such nice words. It is really kind of you to take a few minutes to put a review on VRBO. I am happy that you and your family still keep good memories of your vacation in Rome and of your stay at my apartment. Everybody still speaks about you and all say that you are a very nice family: the doorman Luis, Stefano from the tobacco shop, my mother and Pio (the guy who helps us). I hope to have the opportunity to have you as my guests soon and hopefully we can have the time to have a Pizza or Spaghetti together! Ciao from Paolo, mother Rosa and Pio

My family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Paulo is very friendly and professional. The apartment was very clean and well equipted. Upon arrival Paulo met us at the apartment to make sure everything was in order and even insisted that we try to connect to the internet to make sure it worked properly and gave us instructions on the TV romote control. The was within sight of the Colusseum and only short walk from it and many of the other Roman sites such as the Forum and Palatine. The restuarants just off the main roads were great, Paulo provided us with wonderful recommendations. We also enjoyed that we were staying in an apartment building with residents which made it even more special. I would certainly stay here or at one of Paulo's other apartments on a return to Rome. I would also recommend the tax service that Paulo can arrange, the taxi driver was timely, friendly and also a good tour guide on both our entry and exit from Rome.
Owner response:Dear Corie and Chris, thank you very much for your kind message. I’m really happy that you and your family had a great time in Rome. Great to know also that you loved the city, the restaurants, the apartment and liked the taxi service. Thank you very much for posting your excellent comment because my goal is to try to make the guest vacation as nice as possible and this means that I succeed in doing this...I hope to have you all as my guests very soon. My Mother also would like to thank you for your kindness and says "arrivederci" to all your family. Ciao da Roma!!!

My visit to Rome and my stay was everything i had imagined...I want to personally say that the hospitality recieved and the apartment were ideally located for access to the sites of Rome. It was close to the Metro and about 20 minutes away from the Vatican...a perfect place for a family or couple to stay. Apartment was clean, well furnished and quiet. When the coffee pot broke, it was replaced the next day...Taxie from the airport and to the train station were arranged by the owner/manager. The owner and is family, made us feel very welcome. When we return to Rome , we will definitly be trying to arrange accomodations at this location...Thanks for a wonderful experience in Rome.
Owner response:Richard, thank you very much for your kind words. I’m really happy that you and Leslie enjoyed your stay in Rome and at my apartment. I and my mother try to do our best to make our guest vacation as nice as possible; so, your note makes us so happy… I hope to meet you again, likely with other members of your family! Arrivederci! My husband and two teenage sons stayed in this lovely apartment in August. Paolo also arranged tours, transportation and gave us fantastic tips on restaurants and places to see within walking distance from the apartment. The apartment is everything the site promises it to be. It was clean, well maintained and very elegant. The neighbourhood was close to the Colosseum, but also within walking distance of local restaurants, less expensive than those in tourist areas. The area is safe and we felt comfortable walking around at night. We definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome and will definitely return and stay here again. Thanks Paolo!!!!

Paolo, thank you for making our first trip to Rome so wonderful! The flat was very spacious and modern, the location was convenient to the Coliseum and Metro, and the extra books and maps to areas of interest was also very helpful. Also, thank you for being such a gracious host and answering our never-ending questions and being available for us. I would highly recommend this location or any of your properties! We had a wonderful time in Rome in large measure to the location / access to a fantastic apartment near the most renowed of Rome's tourist destinations - the Colleseum. Paolo was helpful and went the extra mile all the time and did not have the nickle-n-dime mentality that travel books seem to advise to tourists. He is versatile in English and was always ready with an answer- with a smile ! We traveled using the local bus system and always knew where to get off, even without checking for the stop - the Collisuem - since you can't miss it ! Thanks Paolo for a wonderful - cliche - Roman holiday.
