Gated Litchfield by the Sea and loaded with southern charm and atmosphere in Litchfield, South Carolina is Heron Marsh Unit 75. Any season in the Pawleys' Island Litchfield Beach community is delightful-- attractions include the world class Brookgreen Garden which houses some of the finest American sculpture in its outdoor gardens, Hobcaw Barony which is the queen of state parks in South Carolina and restaurants from fine dining to casual seafood.
Just a short stroll down the beach is the Litchfield Inn which is the only restaurant that can claim an ocean view while you dine-- Austin's restaurant has leased this space and both bar and restaurant are in walking distance on the beach from the unit, golf is king. Free tennis courts and pool are a very short walk from the unit.
Housekeeping staff has more than once told us that this unit is one of the nicest which they maintain. Exit through the sliding doors of the living room to a full-sized deck complete with outdoor table, chairs and two loungers to enjoy a sweeping view of the lake with jumping fish and marsh birds; after walking no more than three to four minutes you are in the sand and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. For the party animal Myrtle Beach with all its attractions is located less than 20 miles to the north. In addition we have a one bedroom ocean front condo located in Bridgewater; if you would like information regarding this unit please email.
Our guests enjoy without charge all the amenities of the resort which include a recently built water feature with a meandering lazy river with water related structures for fun as well as the health club which includes an indoor pool. Ocean access is directly in front of the unit. STARBUCKS is located in the registration lobby.
Fishing is available on the lake as well as bicycle and walking trails and deep sea fishing boats for hire are in close proxmity.
For many,the autumn season is a choice time to spend in Litchfield and Pawleys Island. Many snowbirds winter in Litchfield. Email for quote of winter rate since it has been reduced for the months described.
The main level has a twin bedroom with adjoining full bath and is pictured; the master is upstairs and has two queen-sized beds and a private bath and walk-in closet; it likewise is pictured. Dining room table comforably seats six adults.
