This beautifully laid out home was everything we hoped it would be! We were with 6 adults and 5 children and the layout was perfect for those who wanted to gather and those who needed some quiet space. The property is beautiful, the walk to the beach direct and truly 5 minutes by foot. The special perks of having toys, bikes, games for kids of all ages and linens and towels provided was so much appreciated. We walked to Gallilee to watch the boats and indulge in true RI based food....memories of red chowder and clam cakes became our reality and we savored every bite! Can't wait to return next year to enjoy the salt air, fog horn, hydrangeas and the tranquility of Sand Hill Cove!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

I was very impressed with all the reviews but was astonished that the house was even better than I expected and the owners as helpful and easy to deal with as you could possibly want. The yard is amazing and the neighborhood delightful. You could not be disappointed with this choice. The penthouse on the top floor was our hideaway and so airy and fun. The beach was perfect for everyone. We had a special party (50th wedding anniversary) at George's of Gallilee which was excellent. COMERecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our extended family of 10 just experienced a wonderful 4th of July week at this terrific beach house. The three floors made it possible for everyone to have their own space. Lots of TV's for the kids to do their thing without bothering adults . The Berry's have done a wonderful job provisioning the house . Lots of beach towels and beach toys. Even thoughtful touches like Stop & Shop and Shaws cards on the refer door. Can't wait to return next summer.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a fabulous vacation! The house was great! We had absolutely everything we needed. We really appreciated all of the towels, even an abundance of beach towels! The location was a short walk to the beach. The house was just right for our family. I especially loved the upstairs apartment-like bedroom and bath. A very comfortable house to stay in and very clean. Highly recommended! Thanks for your hospitality, Michele and Dave!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

FABULOUS House! We have rented in this area for the past 15 years and this is by far the nicest house in terms of size and mostly amenities. There is everything! Plenty of clean shower and beach towels! The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space so if it is a rainy day there is plenty of room to spread out. The lower level was perfect for our pre-teen kids to hang out and play video games or watch their TV shows! Huge dining room table allowed us to all sit together for dinner! Overall a great place to stay! We are Scarbough beach fans and didn't mind driving to that beach knowing we would be coming back to such a great house! The enclosed outside shower is wonderful too! I could go on and on! Thank you Michelle & Dave!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We were extremely happy with renting this house. We had 6 adults, 4 children and one infant. The accommodations were absolutely perfect. The three levels each with a full bath made our stay very comfortable. The house was extremely clean and well equipped. The nearby Roger Wheeler Beach was perfect for the little ones due the shelter from the breakwaters. The location is perfect for visits to Newport, many restaurants, ferry to Block Island, etc. And, on top of everything, we were able to bring our dog too! We could not ask for more from a rental. We would give it a rating of 10+.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Well, where to begin. Besides the home being perfectly clean and ready to go when we got there and that it was everything they said it was and more the Berry's are great people to work with. This home has everything you need.....all the way down to the wagon for the kids for the walk down to the beach. We wanted to book again before we were done with this years week. You will not regret renting this home. THANK YOU Michele and Dave!!! See you in 2010.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A very nice house with all accomodations you could possibly need in it. Every detail touched upon down to a second fridge in the basement and towels for the beach. The house is very large and has comfortable space for many guests. It is close to many things and only a five minute walk to the beach. I am sure you will be happy with your stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Dave and Michele Berry. We began with one beach house rental in Sand Hill Cove area of Narragansett. We found that we loved meeting all the new people and being able to provide great accommodations for family vacations! It's been awesome re-welcoming so many return guests as well. The first house was so much fun that we added an this house across the street from the first. Both have been in full swing for several years and we continue to love caring for these beautiful houses and our wonderful guests.
Why the Owner Chose Narragansett:
Sand Hill Cove (or Roger Wheeler Beach) is a great beach vacation area. The beach, located just 4-5 minute walk (no crossing any major streets) is geared for families with little ones. This beach has calm waters and many amenities such as a play ground, showers, bathrooms, and concession stands. We are also located within a very short walking distance of several restaurants. A slightly longer walk or very short drive takes you into the fishing village of Galilee. There you will find shops, restaurants, some nightlife, and the fishing boats of Rhode Island... a great place to pick up fresh seafood to bring back to the house. The Point Judith Lighthouse is a very short drive or bike ride from the house as well.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love the sound of the buoys and the sound of the ocean at night. The horn from the Block Island ferry during the day. We love the glimpses of the water we get from the upstairs windows and deck. The neighborhood is a quiet dead-end street with very little traffic.
We love Charlie-O's restaurant which is a 3-4 minute walk from the house. The food is good, the service is very friendly. The pub area is warm and welcoming, and the upstairs martini bar is cool and incredibly good!
