The unit is located on the third floor with 800 square foot (85 square meter) of terrace overlooking San Juan Bay, ideal for viewing the passing cruise ships or to simply sunbathe. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioned open living/dining room area. The air conditioned bedroom has a queen-size bed and full bath. There is an additional half bath and laundry area with a clothes washer and dryer.

The building is situated on the most picturesque street in Old San Juan (Caleta de las Monjas, translated as "Nuns' Lane," which takes the name after the Convent - now the El Convento Hotel - located at the top of the street).

Strategically located steps away from city museums, forts, casinos and only a block away from "La Fortaleza" (Governors house) and San Juan Gate, which was the point of entry to the city when the Conquistadores arrived from Spain. Best shopping and restaurants on the Island. The "playa" is only a 15-20 minute taxi ride to Condado Beach or Isla Verde.

    Hubby and I just spent 3 months in San Juan with no car - in Condado, Isla Verde and here. This place was the best. Two thumbs up. The apt is unique, the lane is sweet, the location couldn't be better and the air was - aah! Great to go up on the roof at night and watch the cruise ships go by. Etc, etc, all good. from Tuscon, AZ

  • The apartment is located in a most ideal spot in Old San Juan. The neighbors in the apartment building are pleasant and have worked to renovate and restore charming, comfortable homes. The veranda provides a great place to watch the cruise ships coming and going as well as a picturesque view of the entrance to the harbor while having breakfast or dinner. This is a place to stay in a nice neighborhood with easy walking convience to any part of Old San Juan. My husband and I stayed for a month enjoying terrific weather, walking excursions to museums, restaurants, shops and relaxing spots to read or take in the local sights. We are planning to return. We appreciated Nancy and Milko accomadating our needs as well as being friendly in helping us with information to find places of interest in San Juan and Puerto Rico. We like Old San Juan very much.

If you are taking a cruise, this would be perfect for spending some time first as it is right in the heart of everything and close to the cuise ships!
