My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. We were very disappointed in the rental. We rent 2-3 times a year through VRBO so this was a HUGE let down. Upon arriving the weeds and bushes were so overgrown going up the steps you had to go in and out of them nothing as to the picture where it is completely tidy. We could not get in the rental with the code and had to call the person that is in charge in Tennessee that is suppose to be avaialable to us 24/7 in which she was not. After calling 7-8 times she finally returned the call and my husband got us in. The bathroom sink in the master bathroom has a huge leak and there is mold all over the corner of the floor and growing up the wall as well as the toilet is leaking from the back around the front so when using the toilet if we had only socks on your feet got wet!! We had to leave towels on the floor the entire time we were there and wear shoes in the bathroom and continue get the water out of the towels to reput on the floor. The bathroom rugs were dripping wet. I called the contact in person and left a message several times within 1 hour of being inside the rental as well as the owner Candya and to this day have not heard from either. The rental was dirty, dog hair all over the furniture as well as the bedding, dead bugs on the floor in the kitchen that I swept up. I emailed Candya (the owner) pictures of everything thinking she would want to know how her propery was being taken care of since she lives in Florida but as of today one week later she still has not contacted me. I even called other people in the book they leave for us to contact and nothing. My husband turned the hot water valve off to hopefully stop the leak, it slowed it down but did not stop it. Very disappointed in this rental as I could go on and on about the value of it but why bother, if the owner doesn't care then whats the point. I would not recommend this property to anyone until some major overall is done regarding the appearance as it should look as the pictures are shown to be and to have a better crew in the area that represent your rental. Regarding the review I gave, I gave instead of poor only because if the property was maintained it would have been an acceptable place for my family to stay. I am most upset about an owner not responding back to clients that have paid their hard earned money to stay with them and to celebrate and make memories with my family vs worried about breathing mold and cleaning up water.Did you find this review helpful? We had a great time at Candyams. Candya was easy to deal with and the property was exactly as described. It was the first vacation with my new wife and her kids and it was perfect. Easy access to all the surrounding attractions without staying right in the middle of them. We were minutes away from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, white water rafting, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, etc. The kids were thrilled with their accomodations and played pool for hours on end. Overall, a great place to stay which I highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. Stayed five nights and enjoyed it. The cabin was in a great location, out of the hustle and bustle, but still close to all the attractions. Easy to get to. Very clean, and made a lot of use of the pool table. If you want to be close to downtown Gatlinburg, but not in the heart of it all, this is a good place for you.Did you find this review helpful?
