My wife and I have been staying at Grand Champions for years. This was our first stay in this unit and we loved it. It was perfect for us and our two small children. The futon in the living room can remain a bed for the entire stay because there is a couch and a chair as well in the living room. The condo is very well stocked so there was never a time we didn't feel like we had everything we needed.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at this charming condo. The owner helped us with our specific itinerary issues. I would recommend this property to my friends. The Wailea Tennis Club is within walking distance and their clinics are super.

We rented the 1 bdrm for five days and wished we would have stayed longer. It was in great location and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

I was very impressed with this accomodation. It was clean, airy, and stayed cool. It has been updated with nice tile and laminate flooring. Myself and my husband had a huge comfortable bedroom with lots of cupboards to unpack our clothes. My two young children had a bed in the living area which was perfect. The lanai faced a beautiful garden with lots of birds to watch. We rented out the studio apartment next door for my parents which again was a perfect set up with a connecting door that can be used or not. There was absolutely everything you needed from beach towels and coolers to snorkel equip, umbrella etc etc. Grand Champions is a nice resort to stay in, affordable and we enjoyed our night walks to the shops at Wailea and to wonder around all the nice hotels on ocean front. It is about a 10 min walk to the ocean from the resort so we did have to drive to all the beaches. Overall I would highly reccomend this condo....Thanks Mark for making our stay even more enjoyable.

Wailea Hideaway

Our stay at Wailea Hideaway was everything and more than we expected it to be. Starting from the moment we decided to rent to the time we left, the service and attention provided by the owner was excellent. The unit is located in a quiet section of the complex with the lanai opening to a small creek and lush foilage. The pictures accurately display the individual rooms and amenities within the rooms. It was very well maintained and extremely clean. This unit has the ability to expand to 2 BR. The owner has done a fantastic job in providing just about any beach toy you could imagine from snorkeling equipment, to boogie boards, ice chest, etc. One of the two community pools is located directly across the parking lot from the unit. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Wailea Shops and restaurants and a short drive to the beach. This is an excellent choice for those wishing a quiet get a way that's still close to the beach, shopping, Wailea and Kihei.

If you want to stay at Wailea, in a comfortable 1 bedroom condo, you have to stay here. The location is perfect, right next to all the big, over priced resorts, but without all the people and the craziness. The condo and the grounds are peaceful and quiet. Parking is great too. It is about 4 miles from 2 grocery stores and right next to all the rest. and the Shops of Wailea. There are about five very nice beaches within a few miles too. The condo itself has everything you need. The King size bed is very comfortable and the bedroom is nice and quiet. The bathroom is spacious and we loved having the washer and dryer there. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was nice to have a condo supply extra garbage bags and dishwasher soap. There was every appliance and even tupperware for left overs and trips to the beach. The beach chairs and beach towels that were provided were great too. All we had to bring was the sun tan lotion. I would encourage anyone to stay there. It was a perfect vacation and we had a great "home base" for ten days.

The place is very nice. You've done a nice job furnishing it. It's very comfortable and just feels nice to be in. The location is perfect. I think you should sell that it's quiet and serene to contrast it against places like Kaanapali. You could probably also sell that it's 100 yards from Joe's, an award winning bar and restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay in your place. Thank you very much.

We had a great time in Maui and enjoyed our stay at your 1-BR condo (not the studio). It was really nice having a fully stocked kitchen which we did take advantage of, as well as the laundry room, snorkel equipment, books, etc.

Our stay was wonderful. Overall, we were very happy with the condo. The location and price were great and the amenities (cooler, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, etc.) were very much appreciated. We moved to Kaanapali for a few days after we left Wailea and we missed both your condo as well as the quiet of Wailea. The condo was clean and spacious. Thanks for making our stay so great!

My wife and I rented this Condo for the Fourth of July, 2011 weekend and had a great time. Very clean and well kept. The Condo was on the ground level so there was no climbing stairs and the Lanai overlooks a quiet and private treeline full of tropical birds early in the morning... A great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city life. we are planning on going back in two years...thanks Mark.

This property has all the amenities of home with an ocean near by. It is very clean and in a quiet complex. There are beautiful beaches close as well as golf courses. Costco is on the way from the airport and is the cheapest place to buy groceries and alcohol (about 20 mins from the condo).

We had a wonderful time in your condo. The accommodations were just as expected and how convenient they were. We did not have any issues with the condo or the accommodations. It was great to have all of the beach equipment including the cooler at our disposal. Ulua Beach was our favorite and we tried out at least 7 beaches while in Maui for two weeks. The second week of our stay we even traveled from Kaanapali back to Wailea just to use Ulua Beach since it offered both snorkeling and boogie boarding. The Monkey Pod restaurant, less than a .5 miles from your condo which I believe just recently opened has a great happy hour menu ($7 gourmet pizzas and other tasty bites plus $5 drink specials that were not watered down).

The condo was great! We loved the location within the complex (so nice to have our "private" lanai, and to be close to our family who was also staying at Grand Champions and to the swimming pool and bbqs). The unit seemed to have everything we needed - the beach chairs and the boogie boards were great. For a small kitchen, it really had everything we needed - we especially loved having a full size fridge (my brother and sister in law only had a bar fridge in their studio). The ceiling fans were perfect - it was so nice to sleep with the windows open. Thanks again. We loved our time at Grand Champions.

I'll keep this review concise and straight to the point: PROS -- 1. Place is very clean, in a very nice neighborhood 2. In-house washer/dryer is a big plus 3. Bath towels and linens are provided, including beach towels, beach paraphernalias as well 4. Bed is extremely comfortable, at least for me 5. Bathroom is immaculately clean and HUGE 6. Parking space provided 7. Close to great beaches and shopping 8. The owner/s are very helpful and prompt in addressing any concern that one might have. Booking the place was as easy as it could get 9. Quiet place, property is on the first floor so getting your stuff in and out is NEVER a problem 10,. Kitchen is very well-equipped. If you're one to cook meals, you would certainly appreciate the kitchen. CONS --- 1. None that I can think of. Parking space is a little bit tight though...not impossible unless you plan on getting a behemoth of a car. I would certainly recommend this place to my friends. And if I ever go back to Maui, I'd certainly call Mark without a moment's hesitation.

This location was perfect. We found plenty of activities to do around here. Your place was set up with everything we could possible need...you thought of everything. I have to say my favorite thing to do in the morning was sit out on the back lanai listening to the birds sing, The scenery was beautiful! The condo was clean and very well equipped..... we noticed that there were all kinds of tools and items for any small repairs that might have been required, and while we didn't need to use any of these, it was comforting to know that they were available. We did use a mask/snorkel and fins once, so that was handy. Also, it was nice to see that a lot of thought went into decorating the place, "island-style", and that added to our experience. Its obvious that you care about it, and have pride in the unit, as you should.

We have been to Maui and the Wailea area several times and once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Grand Champions location is perfect for golf, tennis and there are lots of great beaches close by; not to mention all the wonderful restaurants on the island. The condo was well equipped, extremely clean and had lots of ambiance with the birds serenading in the morning and evening. The condo was great. We had a fantastic time, and the condo was exactly as described, and had everything we needed. We appreciated having the little things, such as paper towels and coffee filters - little things do make a big difference. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also nice. Very nice unit at the Grand Champions. We have stayed at this development about 6 times now, and this is the best one bedroom unit we have ever rented. The condo is clean, well maintained, and furnished nicely. When we return to the Grand Champions, we will definitely want to rent this same unit again.

This condo was perfect for our family of three. Our son especially liked the fact that the pool was close by. Beautiful surroundings and great location. We liked that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotels yet close to great beaches,shopping and many things to do and see. My wife and I are talking about returning in 2010 for our anniversary. Thanks Mark!

This was our first trip to Maui. Wow what a great place. The condo was very nice. Very well kept up with many extras. Very nice part of the island. Mark has done a very good job on the condo. You are requested to clean up before leaving, which was fine for us. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Thanks again Mark for the wonderful stay. Leon and Cindy

Owner response:Just to be clear, you do not have to "clean up before leaving". Guests are just asked to please not leave "Animal House" size messes for my cleaner.
