We had such an amazing time staying here. And walking into this HideAway Suite was exactly what we had hoped for! Very Clean, bright and in the perfect location for you to feel that you had just enough privacy and yet close enough to everything that you would need! Very nice touch on the bedding to NOT be overdone with Tropical prints. It made it feel more like a little Retreat. And thank you SO much for putting a full size refrigerator in the Suite.....it made ALL the difference in the world! The Customer Service of the Owners, was very considerate and accommodating, all the way through to the end of the stay. That really means a lot. We hope to be able to enjoy another wonderful stay at The Grand Champion HideAway Suite again very soon.....it was truly a treat! Again, thank you to the Owners !!

The studio sparkled as we walked through the door. Mirrors and windows spread the light throughout. The queen size bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the dresser drawers and lamp table storage areas. The best part of my day was making a cup of coffee and sitting outside on the lanai. We visited with the various types of cardinals. My husband loved the red capped cardinal who came looking for handouts each day. Grand Champions location and grounds are superb. The complex is maintained very well. Thank you for having a washing machine and dryer. They came in very handy. There were lots of beach towels, beach toys, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards. Beach is just down the road. I did swim with the turtles in Makena. This was quite an adventure. Food at Joes is great and happy hour at Five Palms was the best. We loved that the pool and hot tub are so nearby.

The condo was a perfect crash pad for our family vacation to Maui. We ate breakfast everyday on the Lanai, and BBQ'd at the pool every night. It is within walking distance of beaches, but with our small kiddos we chose to make a 2 minute drive. Kihei is a 5 minute drive up the highway, as well as Mackena in the opposite direction. The condo was well stocked with the necessities such as coffee pot and microwave and a full size fridge. The birds are a welcome alarm clock in the morning. There are some goodies such as masks and snorkels and boogie boards and above all it was CLEAN! Thanks for letting us use your place as we fell in love with the island!

The condo was great. The kitchenette with the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, allowed us to have breakfast every morning at the condo, using leftovers from previous days. The ice chest and blue ice allowed us to “preserve” our bought goodies, to be consumed later. We only packed for half of our trip, because there was a washer and dryer. We then had more space in our carry-ons to bring back more stuff. The wireless internet was very handy, allowing us to find restaurants and events. The studio's size was just right for us, and was very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks Mark for a lovely place to stay. The location was nice and close to walking distance to some nice beaches. A lot of good anemities at the condo to use was very helpful. Quiet location with birds singing in the morning was very peaceful. The information package was very helpful. Would recommend to someone that wants a peaceful quiet relaxing place to spend a holiday at a reasonable price.

This property is exactly as described. The lanai is great, overlooking a ravine so you get a real sense of privacy with lots of vegetation and birds (the Birds of Hawaii guide at the condo was handy!). The accommodations were very comfortable and nicely furnished. Don't plan on cooking meals, as the single hotplate really doesn't support that, but the kitchenette was great for breakfast, lunch and the occassional cold beverage! We drove down to the beaches (there are many nearby) as it really isn't walking distance, but that allowed us to take along the beach chairs provided. If you like snorkelling, there are many great spots nearby, but don't miss driving down to Makena Landing to snorkel with turtles!
Owner response:It is about a 10 minute walk down to the beaches.

Our stay in the Wailea Studio Hideaway exceeded our expectations. It's located on a well maintained vacation property in a quiet area. The kitchenette and the washer/dryer really came in handy. You can tell the owners try hard to provide all the amenities of a hotel (clean linens and towels, wi-fi, beach toys, etc). The studio was very clean! It's located right next to the Wailea Tennis Club but it costs $30/person/hour to play there. We found free public tennis courts at Kalama Park in Kihei which was less than 10 minutes away. The courts were right on the beach so it was gorgeous. I want to commend the owners on making sure that their visitors are happy. This was our first VRBO experience and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderfully clean, quiet condo in a nicely groomed/manicured condo association in Wailea. Enjoyed hearing the amazing bird 'alarm clock' in the am and early pm, Great location near many good restaurants - best meal I had was mongchong at Joe's Bar and Grill, Matteos is always on the mark with reasonable prices, also love Sansei in Kihei. So nice to be near the beautiful golf courses as well as the many beaches....played golf on the Old Blue Course a couple of times. So nice to have access to the beach chairs, boogie board and flippers/mask for snorkeling. I'm not a big Kihei fan and this was a reasonably priced place in my favorite area - Wailea. I can definitely say that if I ever go back to Maui, I would look to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay on vacation!

We had an absolutely fabulous time in Maui, and your condo was in the perfect location for us to be right in the middle of all of our wedding activities. Your information packet was also very helpful, as we were able to get some quality snorkelling in based on your suggestions. The condo staff were extremely nice, and the pool and hot tub were refreshing and relaxing diversions from all of the other things going on during our stay. Some of the other people in the wedding were a bit jealous of us, as we had such a nice place to stay (with a phenomenal view out of the back!) at such a value compared to their overly expensive places they were staying. I can definitely say that if we ever go back to Maui, we will definitely be repeat tenants! Thank you for keeping up such an excellent place!

The condo was perfect for us. Being in Wailea is good enough and when you add on a beautiful clean condo with a perfect lanai it doesn't get better. It was a hotel room with a fridge and a washer and parking right outside the unit. We were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in the 1st time. It was everything we could ask for and more. The ice chest and boogey board were great as well since we love to eat at the beach (and maybe have some cold ones). I have no complaints except that we didn't stay there for our full honeymoon. We started on Kauai and Oahu. But as they say, Maui no ka oi, and Wailea and the Grand Champions really proves that. Have you tried out the new restaurant Monkeypod right up the road at the gateway center? Really cool and fun place, especially for happy hour.

we had a wonderful stay at the wailea studio hideaway. The place is quiet, comfortable and very welcoming. Lovely furnishings and artwork; it all has a very sweet feel. On our second morning we had breakfast with a red headed cardinal who came to join us. We went snorkeling at ahihi cove (the studio was equipped with flippers and snorkels), had a wonderful swim at umua beach near the marriot (about a 10 minute walk along teh golf course), then came back and relaxed by the pool/ hot tub. what a day! the walk to the ocean was easy and pleasant. we really appreciated having such a cozy place to stay at an affordable price. we really enjoyed it. highly recommended.

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at the condo. The space was extremely clean and neat and all the starters were included to get us started! The place was equipped with beach accessories which was really helpful. Everything was so close by and convenient. I was there alone the first 2 nights and was able to get around without a car with ease. The outside Lanai was fantastic and waking up to beautiful birds chirping was a bonus! Mark was extremely helpful before we even got there and provided all the information that was necessary. This was the perfect spot for time in Wailea! Thanks Mark ;)

This is a great cozy little studio, perfect for two people. The studio was clean and well kept. It has a lovely patio that opens up to the trees and the sound of the birds. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed swimming at the adult pool - it was quiet and not too crowded. The unit has a good size refrigerator if you want to have food or bring back leftovers from some of the nearby restaurants. This unit is in a great location in Wailea - walk to shops, restaurants or the beach. It's really a great place for a getaway. Mark, thanks for a great stay at your place.

This condo is wonderful - perfect for a couple. Fantastic location, great value and so well appointed. Virtually everything we needed was provided for us, as well as detailed a check-in 'manual' that answered all our questions. We particularly enjoyed having the 'adult' pool (no toys or splashing!) and grill all to ourselves for a moonlit BBQ dinner on our first night. And, of course, birdwatching breakfasts on the lana'i were a highlight. The tasteful coconut palm themed accessories in the condo were appreciated too! Wish we'd stayed longer than 3 nights...

Feels like you're in a tree house! Condo is in the perfect location on Maui, no better place then Wailea! Easy walk to shops and the best beaches and snorkeling on Maui. Condo has everything you will need, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas extra beach towels and more. Quiet and secluded complex, hardly any noise ever except for the birds but I don't consider that noise. Can't beat the price, will definitely be back soon! Thanks Mark for everything I wish I was still there.

Mark, thank you for providing such a lovely studio condo in the Grand Champions resort. The studio is lovely! bright, spacious and super cozy - not to mention located in the very best of Maui, within walking distance to some of the best beaches and dining!. I most enjoyed my mornings out on the patio deck, listening to the birds and sounds of Maui surrounded by the lush tropical foliage and enjoying fresh papaya and pineapple! As a former Maui resident I can say that your studio was like home! Can't wait to visit again soon.
