This historical estate reveals its delights slowly and elegantly. Leaving the bustling Venetian activities behind you, the drive leads you on a simple country road through fields which melt into the natural park of the Eugenean hills. You will soon discover the historical main villa on top of one of the hills, seemingly shielding the elegantly structured farm buildings, the beautifully restored farmhouse Villa La Contenta offered here and a wonderfully romantic 19th century garden folly reminiscent of a Palladian temple (The Temple/also in our repertoire). The estate has been in the hands of an ancient Counts's family since the 13th century, well over 700 years.
This is one of the great Venetian properties. The 150 hectare estate consists of a Venetian villa (no picture), a 19th century English park, a skillfully designed 18 hole golf course and cultivated farmland with several farm buildings. All this 20 kilometers south of Padua, within easy reach of the famous historic villas of the Veneto, many of them built by the great Italian architect Andrea Palladio, as also the cities of the Veneto and the Lake district.
Villa La Contenta is a traditional Venetian farmhouse on an historical estate, situated on the border of the Euganean hills. The house, which was fully restored in 2003, has 6 bedrooms on 3 floors (ground floor and 2 upper floors), a typical "loggia" in front of the house for al fresco meals, and a large private pool. The house looks out onto the Euganean hills and the park of the estate. It is surrounded by a private, delimited garden of 6000 m2. The garden has been carefully planted with a herb garden, roses, lilac, tibetan geraniums, iris and calendula. The trees are poplars, walnut, hazelnut, as well as a series of fruit trees (fig, cherry and apple).
The 500m2 house sleeps 12 people in 6 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The house is laid out as follows:

Villa La Contenta's strategic position makes for many an inspiring day trip to Padova, Venice, Vicenza, Verona, Ferrara, lake Garda as well as Este, Montagnana, Monselice and Arquà Petrarca in the immediate vicinity. The villas on the Brenta canal as well as the famous Palladio villas should also be on your cultural agenda.
Ecology: Villa La Contenta was restored according to the latest standards of biological architecture. The agricultural production of the estate is organic and the owners see the estate's future in becoming a full-circle organic farm: cultivation, products, cattle, fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
The Golf Club: 5 minutes by car from the house lies the beautiful golf club of the estate, which is considered the best in the area. The club house is a cleverly converted farm building with a very pleasant restaurant which serves excellent light lunches and full dinners. Reduced green fees for our guests.
Closest shopping: The next village with a supermarket, bar, bank and post office is Montemerlo at 2.5 km from the property. More choices of shops you will find in Rovolon at a distance of 5 km.
Railway station: The next railway station is in Montegrotto at a distance of approximately. 10 km from the property. Here you can park your car. Trains go regularly to Venice.

Extra services available on request (domestic help, meal on your first evening, cook, first shopping), please specify when booking, to be paid in Euros on the premises at the end of each working day.
- Extra domestic help (house cleaning, washing and ironing): Euros 10 per hour.
- Arrival dinner, after a long trip: Euros 25 per person.
- Cook (meals during the week): A dinner prepared by an excellent cook (who lays the table) with first course (pasta dish), second course and a desert amounts to Euros 25 - 40 depending on the menu. The fee is not inclusive of wine and water.
- First shopping: Euros 130 or Euros 160 (organically grown products).
