THE HOUSE:
Welcome to our roomy Cape Cod house in a picturesque beach community with all the hi-tech amenities. On the first floor, the house has a living room, dining room, recently remodeled and fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, enclosed, three season front and back porches for lots of extra space, and bathroom with shower. Upstairs, three people can be accommodated in the king bedroom, since it also has a twin bed. Across the hall is a queen bedroom. This room also has a futon to sleep two. The full bath has a tub. There are room air conditioners throughout the house for your comfort. The TV has integrated DVD/DVR and 200 channels. There is a VCR and a CD/tape music system. Use your computer with free wireless internet. The telephone has free, unlimited all-distance service. Relax in the private fenced back yard with large picnic table, patio set and gas grill.
THE AREA:
Talk about something for everyone! Ocean Beach Park, (three minute walk) with its half-mile long white sand beach and boardwalk, also has, in season, amusement rides, miniature golf, food, Work Out World (WOW) Fitness Center, nature preserve and trails, water slides, Olympic-sized pool, children's playground and huge year-round video arcade. Launch our two-person kayak (or your own boat) on Alewife Cove, just a stone's throw away, and explore the Ocean Beach Wildlife preserve and miles of scenic areas of coastal Long Island Sound by water. See the weblink below for more pictures of the house and surrounding area.
A short drive away are two of the world's largest casinos, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. In addition to casino gaming and shopping, the casinos provide name entertainment, great dining and professional sports. Connecticut College, Mitchell College, and Coast Guard Academy are close by. To get to New York or Boston, interstate 95 is nearby or there is a nearby train station, an Acela Express stop. A Greyhound Bus station is also in New London. Local buses (SEAT) can take you to malls and downtown.
