  We arrived in Amsterdam during a cold front. The temperatures never got out of the 30's. We spent more time than we would have liked at the apartment. The place was very inviting and Lynn was a wonderful host. The apartment was very spacious and with five adults there was plenty of room for all of us. The atrium area was also a nice place to sit and be out of the cold. We all looked forward to returning to the room to get out of the terrible weather and into a warm environment. Thanks Lynn for everything......

  We all loved our stay! We were 2 couples and 3 single guys, and there was plenty of room! The area in Jordaan was perfect for us. There are plenty of quant shops and markets, a butcher shop & baker about 100 yards down the street. Also a bike rental 100 yards in the other direction! 10 to 15 min walk from the train station & the city centre! Huge farmers market every Saturday! A pub on almost every corner! The house decor is very hip & cool! The owner is an amazing person and will genuinely care about your stay! I recommend staying here to any group of travelers, it seems to me this rental gets a lot of repeat business, as I can say, my group will certainly return to stay at this true gem! Miss it already!!! Thank you so very much Lynn! :)

  The apartment was excellent - great location,and fully equipped. Lots of room. It was in easy walking distance of most of the sites and activities we were interested in. TV and internet worked great, but we didn't use much. Great neighborhood restaurants, as well. The apartment was perfect for our 4 night stay and Lynn was great to work with. She helped with transportation arrangements and had a number of suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. We highly recommend this rental.

  The owner was very helpful and relaxed, premises very clean and area felt safe, lots of interesting little shops. Great base for exploring the city, especially after we hired bicycles given the fact we had a 3 year old as well as teenagers in our party. Good finds included an excellent swimming pool around the corner and there was a family cinema also nearby. Loved the Nemo science museum for children, and the van gogh museum. The spiral staircase is quite steep within the floors, but there are communal stairs too which are available if needed. Really good place to stay

  This house worked perfectly for our family. The location was close to great restaurants, supermarkets, city center, trams, etc. When we got there a couple of the lights didn't work, but Lynn took care of that immediately. She was also very gracious about scheduling a cab to take us to the airport, even though we changed the pick up time twice. Beds were very comfortable and Internet worked very well.

  Amsterdam is a wonderful city. We were delighted to stay in this Jordaan flat. The flat had all the amenities, was roomy and bright. The solarium was really delightful. The front bedroom of the flat overlooks a cafe which was a bit noisy on weekend nights in warm weather. The back bedroom is very quiet. Lynn was a great hostess and provided fans when we got record-breaking hot weather in May which made it very comfortable. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute walk to Dam square. The neighbourhood is just great with lots of great restaurants and shops but not crazy busy and noisy like the center of town. I found two great health food stores a few blocks away and the Saturday market at the Nordkerk was fabulous. We found a great tapas restaurant 3 blocks away and two Michelin-recommended restaurants with a reasonable lunch menu less than 10 minutes away. The neighbourhood is very safe and I often went for walks alone in the evening along the canals - just delightful. BTW, the guidebooks are correct, you need to watch out for the bicycles. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Amsterdam.

  My husband and I brought my mother to Amsterdam for her first trip to Europe. Lynn's home was a great base for our wanderings. We had plenty of space and all the conveniences. We loved the bakery and butcher at the end of the block. Grocery stores, pubs and restaurants close by. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant down the block - good, fresh and spicy! Sitting at the kitchen table for our meals looking out the window watching daily life go by was entertaining and homey. Lynn was very helpful providing information for anything we might need during our stay. We can't think of anything we would have changed!

  I'm a bit late to review, but back in October six thirtysomething friends and I convened on this property, and it proved a wonderful, affordable, comfortable option in a quiet, absolutely beautiful neighborhood. Lynn was friendly and accommodating to our budget-minded group; she was fine with having three in each bedroom (there are two doubles and a single or pullout futon in each bedroom) and one downstairs on the couch (which also pulls out into a bed), which was hugely helpful to us. The house itself is cute, cozy, and fittingly historic for this part of the city. The lovely Jordaan neighborhood is well located for exploring Amsterdam and feels so homey with all of its old butchers, delis, and brown cafes. Right around the corner is an incredible Saturday market and the best appeltaart in the city, just one example of the fantastic food in this area (and city in general--some of us were there to research typical Amsterdam foods for the Eat Your World website). Highly recommended!

  Homeowner was very helpful, and flexible. Apartment was perfect, met all our needs, location, ammenities, comfort etc. Would definately stay there again!!!

  We flew in from Dallas & stayed here in early July before heading to Africa for a safari & then a great Capetown visit. I would recommend this apt if you like to have a kitchen, somewhere to read or review emails, not in the constraints of a small hotel room. Her kitchen table is excellent as a home base :) Our kids loved the hammock in the sunroom :) We loved having 2 groceries, the best Gelatto in Amsterdam & some very hip & trendy restaurants so close. The five of us enjoyed our stay here. Our kids are 10, 13,15 so they loved having a room to themselves - the bar across the street can be lively if the weather is good, but our kids still slept well enough & we were able to get them out to tour everyday for a week for at least 8 hours :) There was also construction - a new house being built across the street...Everything was clean. There was some dust in the flat, but my son who is allergic to dust had no issue at all. That's life in an urban area & although a tad annoying I really enjoyed staying in such a safe, friendly apt. The owner is responsive & extremely helpful. She set up the Taxi to bring us to the airport :) Truly wonderful when you'd rather not do it yourself. She is very trustworthy! We are big walkers and could get everywhere easily. I loved the location. It is also close to bigger streets where you can catch buses, trams, etc. The location is very safe, I had no problem going out by myself to run evening errands to the grocery. It was nice to be able to make the kids a bite to eat & then go to a neighborhood restaurant with my husband. Amsterdam was so much better than I thought it would be. I would stay here again if we went back as a family.
