I am seeking a 5 or 6 month rental for the winter 2011-12 season. I have created an eco-friendly unit with new recycled carpeting and laminate flooring and by adding organic towels, linens, mattress pads, natural wool blankets, and green cleaning products. Experience what it is like to live without harsh chemicals in a clean and healthy environment. This season features a new, locally made, king size mattress for the master bedroom, and complete upholstery of the existing Lazy Boy furniture. Local businesses and workers have benefitted from my investment. I have also added a new stove and 32 inch LCD TV in the living room. My unit is ground level, easy to find, easy to enter and exit, fully-furnished with kitchen supplies, linens and towels, full-size washer and dryer, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave. Because I am local, I personally see to every detail about the unit and am available should any questions or concerns arise during your stay.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and cable television. The second bedroom has two twin size beds which can be converted to a king size bed if desired. The living room has a Lazy Boy recliner, sleeper sofa, and cable television with a DVD player. The patio is ground level with a comfortable seating area. The covered carport is directly in front of the patio. The balcony overlooks the tennis courts. The tri-level Clubhouse is a short scenic walk away and has a large outdoor heated pool and exercise room. An outdoor covered jacuzzi and picnic barbecue area complete the amenities.
My Powderwood unit is peaceful, quiet, and tastefully decorated with images of nature and travel. You can travel light by either sending your equipment and/or luggage in advance of your arrival or utilizing the full-size washer/dryer in the unit. Cooking meals is easy with a kitchen pantry stocked with basics like spices, condiments, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There is cookware sufficient to roast a ten pound turkey if desired, and a large crockpot for chili to come back to after a long day on the slopes. Many guests have enjoyed my collection of old fashion board games or they select a movie from my ever growing library of DVDs.
A beautiful walking/biking path connects the resort to the nearby Tanger Outlet Mall, several restaurants and the Utah Olympic Park. Or hop on Park City's free bus, servicing our resort every 30 minutes for easy access to downtown Park City, the Canyon's and Deer Valley resorts. Powderwood is also an easy 45 minute drive to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon resorts.

I travel frequently with my family of 5 and have always used vrbo for accommodations over hotels. Unfortunately, none have been eco-friendly. I have been bothered by overuse of room fresheners and harsh cleaning products. I am determined to make a difference and create a niche for green vacation condos.
Why the Owner Chose Powderwood
We live in the Salt Lake Valley and wanted a place in Park City to escape to for skiing, biking, and hiking. This two bedroom, two bath unit is perfect for families and conveniently located next to the interstate, shopping and restaurants. Because it is an older property, it has plenty of room to walk around both on the complex and using the beautiful walk, bike paths adjacent to the complex.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Your reserved covered parking space is steps away from the unit, that makes a difference when you are carrying your luggage, skiis and groceries. Or you may want to forgo the car and use the free bus system with a stop a short walk from the unit. It will take you into downtown Park City in no time. There are even express buses in the early morning and late evening from the ski resorts.

I stayed at the condo for the entire winter season from November until April whilst working at The Canyons. The condo had everything you would ever need to live comfortably, with the most comfortable king size beds. It soon began to feel like home. The unit was much bigger than I expected it would be based on the photographs. The owner Sue was always helpful and resolved any maintenance needs quickly as she lives in Salt Lake so is always nearby but would let me know who to contact if she was going to be out of town for a few days. It's in a perfect location for the free transit system with a stop at the bottom of the complex driveway and the outlet shops are a short walk a way. Overall a fantastic season in Park City in great accommodation!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.

The condo was very, very clean and really comfortable. The owner Susan was very professional to do business with and everything she stated was so. Was a pleasure to do business with her. We cooked quite a bit and she keeps the kitchen stocked with needed utensils. Also the unit is very quite and private, the week we were there we might have seen the neighbors may 1 or twice. The experience was great would defenitely rent from her again.

My family stayed in this condo last week and it was great. The accomodations were clean, quiet, and perfectly equiped. The owner is extremely easy to deal with and returned our security deposit promptly. The condo is very convenient to Park City, all the ski areas (including the Cottonwoods), and many restaurants appropriate for a family with children. I highly recommend this condo.

It was a pleasure to stay at this condo. The owner lives locally and takes special care to make ensure the cleanliness and comfort of her guests. The beds are fantastic and the overall experience is very cozy and homelike. We used the free Park City bus service ( just steps from the condo to the bust stop)to get to the ski areas and found it to be generally timely and good service.

My family (two adults and two children) stayed at this condo right before Christmas. It was a perfect size for us. We could have slept two more on the fold-out couch. We loved the proximity to such a variety of ski slopes. Never having skied in Utah, we "skied around": one day at Deer Valley, one day at Park City, one day at Alta, and three days at the Canyons. The condo was so pleasant to come home to in the evening. We loved the homey touches like the Christmas lights over the mantel and enough coverlets for all of us to wrap up in.

My family and I stayed here Nov 06. Great condo at an outstanding price! Easy access to everything-skiing, museums, restaurants, outlet mall. In fact, you can walk to the outlet mall. Free shuttle will take you to Park City and back if you don't want to drive. Condo was extremely clean and comfortable with a lot of nice little extras. We will definitely stay here again!
