Christophe #708 is a 2nd level, corner condominium facing East and South, with views of Mount Baldy. It has 2 bedrooms (each with twin/twin or King beds), 2 baths (1 with huge jacuzzi tub). There is a Queen sofa sleeper in the living room. The living room has a gas-ignited wood burning fireplace (wood provided), digital cable TV with DVD/VCR combination, a cassette tape/CD/radio sound system. There is high speed, wireless internet access and telephone answering machine. A Canon MX340 wireless printer with fax, copier, and scanner is available. Each bedroom has digital cable TV and DVD/ VCR player. There are three ceiling fans and a humidifier. Daily maid service is available for an extra fee (please inquire). 24-7 emergency assistance available through property management.
The kitchen is fully-equipped, including dishwasher, ice maker, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, electric tea pot, blender, electric griddle, and mixer. The dining table comfortably seats 6 guests with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The Master Bedroom has a small private deck, and the front balcony is private with breakfast table and chairs to enjoy early morning coffee or afternoon tea or cocktail. Three adult mountain bikes and one 20" bike are provided, so bring your helmets and enjoy!
Christophe Condominium is situated in a quiet neighborhood just 5 blocks from the center of Ketchum and is 1/4 mile from Baldy's River Run lifts, an even closer to the extensive Wood River/Sun Valley trails - a large network for summer walking/biking and winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. This complex has Ketchum's only year-round heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Christophe Condominium also features a central courtyard with gas grill/picnic area, underground parking, elevator, and laundry facility. Ketchum's free Kart bus stops in front of the complex on its way to ski lifts and town on a frequent schedule. The Ketchum free library with computer access is less than a 10-minute bike ride. The YMCA has short-term memberships available and is about a 10-minute bike ride.

If you're looking for a well maintained, very comfortable "homey" feeling condo rental, this is it. Quiet complex just steps away from downtown...you can sit on the spacious porch and listen to the river running right across the street...or at night watch the moon rise over the mountains from the other smaller porch adjoining the master bedroom. Master bath features huge spa tub, perfect for soothing the muscles after a strenuous day on the mountain or trails. Big plus was bicycles (4)...you can basically park your car (in covered parking provided on the ground floor) and get around town on bikes the entire time you're there. Nicely furnsished w/ big kitchen equipped w/ everything you need. Very flexible and agreeable owner. Definitely rates an "excellent" rating!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

We stayed in this condo unit for three weeks in July-August 2010 and will do so again in 2011. The description and photos provided on VRBO are very accurate. Although the condo complex is not new, the buildings are solidly built, well maintained, and have lots of advantages over some of the newer condos in the area. Highlights for us: 1) The excellent location in Ketchum provides easy access to bike paths, skiing, shopping, movies, farmers' market, library, and art festival. The free city shuttle bus stops in front of the condo. 2) Free underground parking with elevator and luggage carts makes transfer of luggage a breeze and keeps the car out of the elements. 3) The availability of mountain bikes is a plus for us so we don't need to transport our bikes or rent them in town. 4) Internet access is good. 5) The kitchen is very well equipped. 6) The ceiling fans are important for summer visitors because the condo complex, like many in the Ketchum area, has no air conditioning.7) Each of the ensuite bedrooms has large bathrooms. 8) The owner of this unit is very easy to work with and will address any concerns you might have. A major attraction for us in the summer is the Sun Valley Summer Concert Series. We love to picnic with friends on the lawn outside the beautiful pavilion to hear the music played by world-class musicians over a world-class audio system--and it's all FREE! A tip for Costco members: Stock up at the Twin Falls Costco store on your way to Ketchum so you don't need to schlep those cases of wine the entire way from Texas or Florida.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
