Our Cabin offers easy access, incredible scenery, and outstanding family amenities. We furnished the house Tahoe style with warm cozy fabrics, rustic furniture and an emphasis on comfort. You'll fall asleep to the sound of the wind whispering in the trees and wake to the singing of the birds and fresh scent of pine.
The cabin has three stories offering the maximum in privacy and comfort. The dining area opens to the back deck- perfect for BBQs or your morning cup of coffee. The deck also offers a great vantage point to see deer, squirrels, and other wildlife while you're relaxing. Walk down the stairs and through the yard to open forest.
ROOM DETAILS:
The FAMILY ROOM has two large chairs with a couch surrounding the wood burning stove, and entertainment center. The connecting DINING area has a table that seats eight with a view of the forest. Three more people can sit comfortably in barstools at the granite counter. The KITCHEN is fully equipped, with full-size appliances, granite counters, as well as everything you’ll need for home cooked meals.
TWO MASTER BEDROOMS have new luxury queen beds with high quality 100% cotton sheets, down comforters and pillows. Two generous windows bring in lots of light and views of the forest. On the third floor you’ll find the BEAR CUB BEDROOM with pine bunk beds and an additional full bed that can accomodate adults. The LOFT hosts a pine log futon with full size mattress and a full bathroom is just down the hall. On the lower level, the GREAT ROOM and optional Fourth Bedroom offers an entertainment center, full size AIR HOCKEY Table and is stocked with games and movies. There is a love seat and sofa with queen sleeper. This room has a private full bath.
LOCATION: Our cabin is located on the "sunny side" of a quiet street surrounded by a forest neighborhood. We have a LEVEL driveway and are in the lower snow load area; this is CRITICAL for easy WINTER ACCESS.
Our home enjoys all the benefits of the Tahoe Donner Resort Community including Nordic Ski Center, Cross Country Ski Center, Golf Course, Tennis Center, Equestrian Center, Beach Club Marina, Trout Creek Recreational Center as well as a Clubhouse Bar and Grill, and the new Lodge. These amenities include three pools, one of which is an outdoor year round heated pool and Jacuzzi, plus health club and spa.
A ten minute drive takes you to the charming old town of Truckee with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Beautiful Donner Lake offering water sports and adventure is only minutes away. All the major ski resorts including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Boreal Ridge are just 15 to 20 minutes away. Major Casinos and the Reno Airport are also a quick 30 minute drive.

I stayed here for the weekend with my coworkers and our families and we had a wonderful weekend. The house is beautiful - exactly as described in the listing - and clean and well-maintained. The owner was very easy to work with. We BBQ'd on the deck, which was very convenient next to the kitchen. The two master bedrooms were great for the two families, and the bunkbeds and the game room in the basement were perfect for the single people. It was a short drive to Squaw and Sugar Bowl, so convenient for a ski weekend.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children.

We spent Thanksgiving week at this beautiful cabin and it was so much fun! Everyone had a great time and from the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The cabin was warm and inviting, immaculate, and offered all the comforts of home. We enjoyed coming in from a day of skiing to cozy up by the wood burning stove and drink hot cocoa. I didn't realize how conveniently located everything was to your cabin. The grocery store was just minutes away, and the ski resort was a quick 15 minute drive. This made driving quick and easy with more time to enjoy our given destination rather than spending most of the time in the car "just to get there and back". We enjoyed preparing and eating our Thanksgiving dinner as if we were in our own home, but what was amazing was looking out the kitchen window area to the spacious forest that is your backyard and seeing deer walking around in the snow! With all the eating and playing we did during our stay, one thing in particular that stands out is how well everyone slept from the first night on. The beds and bedding were so incredibly comfortable and cozy... just like home. Thank you for renting your beautiful cabin home to us. It was a Thanksgiving that we will always remember and look forward to coming back again in the summer. I think we've just found our new "home away from home"!

We spent a long weekend here with two other families all with kids under age five. We had a great time! The cabin was very spacious and kid friendly. There was lots of room for playing and also quiet places to retreat to after a long day of romping in the snow together. The house was very clean and welcoming from the first step into the cabin. We felt at home right away. Although the cabin interior had everything one might wish for, my favorite part was all the open space behind the cabin. We played every snow game out back, even creating a great sled run for the kids. (Thanks for the extra sleds in the garage!) What a gorgeous property. We will definitely be back to this cabin in the future!

We stayed over at this property in Dec 2008. We're from out of United States and it was particularly important that we get this rental right. With children in the tow, having an easily accessible, warm and spacious place was important for the winter holidays. This lovely cabin was a great match to our needs. The flat driveway was a real blessing, making the daily ins and outs so much easier. The lower elevation really did mean less snow and the included snow removal was great. The interior is very cosy, very homely. You can tell that the owners furnished it with love and care. 3 floors gave everyone their private spaces to retreat to after a whole day's of fun together. The final icing on the cake was the way the owner inetracted with us on the email. She was very professional and pleasant, making the rental experience that much more pleasant. We liked the place very much and will come back for more....it's been a great holiday at this cabin.

This rental is a wonderful home. The owners have created a comfortable home with all the important ammenities. It was great to come "home" after a day of activities and relax on the private deck with a magnificent barbeque. Then the party moved inside and we enjoyed a fire in the wood burning stove. (The owners provided the wood!) We had access to all the Tahoe Donner ammenities and the kids truly enjoyed all of them from camps, horse back riding to boating on the lake. I will return to the area and this house in particular.

Your cozy and inviting cabin absolutely made our stay in Tahoe outstanding! After a long day of sightseeing, hiking and playing there was nothing more enjoyable than coming home and enjoying a nice hot beverage and conversation by the fire. It was wonderful to be able to pull into the driveway and step right into our home away from home (no hotel experience can offer that!). We relaxed, visited and connected in the home that you created. The stay in your cabin was more than just a place to sleep at night – it significantly enhanced our vacation by allowing us the comfortable space to reconnect away from the chaos of daily life. I highly recommend, to all the families I know, to book their trip to Tahoe with your cabin as a feature of their experience. It made a big difference for us and I know it will do the same for others! Thank you again for opening up your home and allowing us to share in the warmth of your cabin.

What a great vacation! We stayed here last season with another family and had lots of room to spread out. The kids loved hanging out in the game room. There was plenty of outdoor playspace. I loved having a washer and dryer right in the door after a long day of skiiing. Beautiful location. Cozy charm. We're coming back!
