WELCOME to luxury with a rustic warmth, a home away from home!
Our Cabin offers easy access, incredible scenery, and outstanding family amenities. We furnished the house Tahoe style with warm cozy fabrics, rustic furniture and an emphasis on comfort. You'll fall asleep to the sound of the wind whispering in the trees and wake to the singing of the birds and fresh scent of pine.
The cabin has three stories offering the maximum in privacy and comfort. The dining area opens to the back deck- perfect for BBQs or your morning cup of coffee. The deck also offers a great vantage point to see deer, squirrels, and other wildlife while you're relaxing. Walk down the stairs and through the yard to open forest.
ROOM DETAILS:
The FAMILY ROOM has two large chairs with a couch surrounding the wood burning stove, and entertainment center. The connecting DINING area has a table that seats eight with a view of the forest. Three more people can sit comfortably in barstools at the granite counter. The KITCHEN is fully equipped, with full-size appliances, granite counters, as well as everything you’ll need for home cooked meals.
TWO MASTER BEDROOMS have new luxury queen beds with high quality 100% cotton sheets, down comforters and pillows. Two generous windows bring in lots of light and views of the forest. On the third floor you’ll find the BEAR CUB BEDROOM with pine bunk beds and an additional full bed that can accomodate adults. The LOFT hosts a pine log futon with full size mattress and a full bathroom is just down the hall. On the lower level, the GREAT ROOM and optional Fourth Bedroom offers an entertainment center, full size AIR HOCKEY Table and is stocked with games and movies. There is a love seat and sofa with queen sleeper. This room has a private full bath.
LOCATION: Our cabin is located on the "sunny side" of a quiet street surrounded by a forest neighborhood. We have a LEVEL driveway and are in the lower snow load area; this is CRITICAL for easy WINTER ACCESS.
Our home enjoys all the benefits of the Tahoe Donner Resort Community including Nordic Ski Center, Cross Country Ski Center, Golf Course, Tennis Center, Equestrian Center, Beach Club Marina, Trout Creek Recreational Center as well as a Clubhouse Bar and Grill, and the new Lodge. These amenities include three pools, one of which is an outdoor year round heated pool and Jacuzzi, plus health club and spa.
A ten minute drive takes you to the charming old town of Truckee with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Beautiful Donner Lake offering water sports and adventure is only minutes away. All the major ski resorts including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Boreal Ridge are just 20 minutes away. Major Casinos and the Reno Airport are also a quick 30 minute drive.
