Alice's Acres is located on the Front Range only 1-1/2 hrs from DIA (Denver International Airport), 1 hr from Boulder and downtown Denver. It is in the midst of Roosevelt National Forest on 4 wooded acres (elevation 8,700 ft). The closest mountain town is funky Nederland, 20 minutes away where you can stock up on food in the supermarket and visit local stores and restaurants. At Alice's Acres you have the best of both worlds: easy access to cities and the peace of mountain living, whether you plan a romantic get-away or a family vacation.
On the first floor is a new kitchen, large master bedroom with new handmade aspen bed and organic mattress (king size), next to it is a full bathroom. The living room has a woodburning stove, TV, radio, lots of videos and a piano (try it but it hasn't been tuned lately), mud room and the half bathroom are adjacent. From the veranda one has a view of the high mountains. On the deck at the south side you can enjoy soaking in the sun, even in the winter.
Upstairs is a bedroom with 2 twin beds, lots of children's books and games, another large bedroom with a pullout couch and more books in English and German. This latter room is also used as an office and has 4 large sky lights.
There is much original artwork in the house.
Below this house is a little one-room cabin that has bunk beds in it. Children love it because it's away from the adults. However, it's close enough for the adults to see and hear what goes on. Only available during summer months.
