We had such a great time and loved the house, it was beautiful! We also visited the Pacific side, but it's nothing compared to the Carribean. It's more my speed of life at Casa Dakini.

Hello Goeff We spent one weel at Casa Dakini and we wish it could have been one month! We had a wonderful time in the area,everything is walking distance and most especially the beaches are splendid! Your house is very welcoming and has everything that guest may need to be very confortable Yes, you were right, we did not need AC at all, due to the constant nice breeze. Now we both have athletic legs, thanks to the hill that we climbed twice a day to get to your paradise. thank you for sharing this treasure with your tenants Marie-Josée and Anthony

...I just wanted to write and tell you how much we loved Casa Dakini and Anna. The house was so comfortable and the deck!! was perfect. We just sat there and watched the howlers at sunset over a glass of wine. Not to mention the best shower in all of Costa Rica!

Hi GeoffWe had a really lovely time at Casa Dakini - we really wished we could have stayed longer! It exceeded our expectations – we didn’t expect to be able to see and hear the ocean so well from the house, and we didn’t expect it to be so close to the beaches.Hearing the ocean and feeling like we were very close to nature – the house is so open and airy, it’s wonderful. The house seemed lovingly cared for, rather than feeling like just a rental property. We also really appreciated that the owners obviously cared about the environment and their surroundings. We’d highly recommend Punta Uva. It’s pretty central to many of the great beaches in that part of the Caribbean – you can easily get to Cahuita and Manzanillo without having to slum it in Puerto Viejo. The rainforest and parks in the Punta Uva area are wonderful – much more beautiful than anything around Manuel Antonio.

No hype-tourist-place, but silence and nature...privacy (you can make music, without disturbing anybody), the view. Because we liked the house so much, we went out only twice for dinner. At Cantarrana we find out everything is perfect. You even can sit naked on the veranda!

We had a FABULOUS time in Punta Uva, at your lovely home...The house was more than we expected. My husband being a contractor enjoyed evaluating the construction and the differences in building in a tropical environment. We so enjoyed daily mornings on the deck for hours ... Your attention to detail and in creating such calm in your home was great. Thank you for all your helpfulness in getting this set up.

Dear Geoff - Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful stay we had at your house in Punta Uva. It was more than we ever expected, and we would love to come back some time maybe later this year. As an architect, my husband was really impressed with the house, and the pains it must have taken to construct it. It truly is paradise there!

We had a restful and inspiring time and very much appreciated your house and all your care. The atmosphere around the house is very beautiful and retreat-like. I could see that reflected in the animals that brightened our hearts with their visits.

The property was beautiful and definitely exceeded our expectations. Pictures just didn’t do it justice. It is central to many beaches, restaurants, and anything else we desired at the time, and was exactly how it is described on the webpage. Many rental places take pictures from angles that make the property look bigger and better than it is. Your photos were very accurate! A BEAUTIFUL place! Thank you!!!

The house was fantastic. There were fresh flowers. It was apparent that you truly care for your property. We felt comfortable from the start and we treated the home as we would our own. We loved the design of the house, the nice woodwork, the porch, the outdoor shower, the huge entry door, we really enjoyed it.

The house was wonderful. Waking up every morning to gorgeous view, ocean breeze and the unique combination of sounds (birds, bugs and Howler Monkeys) was enchanting. I truly miss my morning coffee sitting on porch that runs length of house. It was true that being up on the hill and having all those screens made a huge difference - definitely worth the drive up the hill. The fact that the house was new, beautifully designed and decorated and clean made it one the best vacation rentals I've ever enjoyed. Finally, excellent location between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo and next to what I think is the most beautiful beaches in area (we loved Arecife), we hope to visit again soon.

We had a great time. Your place was more than we could have ever wanted andactually exceeded our expectations. The fact that we had non stop hot water was unbelievable! It is in good proximity to Puerto Viejo and Manzinillo… we loved that place!!!!

Dear Geoff, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your home last week. It is a beautiful location and it ended up being a perfect set up for all of us. We loved Casa Dakini. Our bikes were awesome, we cruised all over from Manzanillo to Puerto Viejo. Hearing the howler monkeys in the morning is a great excuse to brew some fresh coffee in the coffee maker and enjoy the view on the deck. The house was beautiful.

It was great to experience a high standard of design and function, a familiar kitchen setup, and a bit of seclusion in the CR jungle. Also, unlike other lodgings that call themselves eco-sensitive didn’t seem to take it nearly as far as Cantarrana. What’s more, the deck and the view (and sounds) from the bedroom early in the morning were very special.
