The cottage was more spacious than I thought it would be, and very tidy. The lake was clean and clear with a sandy bottom and very little seaweed. The water level is higher than usual, so there wasn't really a beach, but there was plenty of room to sit on the grass with lawn chairs, thoughtfully provided by owner. The kitchen was well appointed. As for the area, there's SO much to do! It's close to a number of towns, with something for everyone. The owner was genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant.
Owner response:The lake is really high this year with 72 inches of snow that fell over the winter. Unfortunately everyone around the lake lost their beach front. As I guess we can't complain, the lakes really need the water, since all have been down for years!!

Our stay at Twin Lake was wonderful. This is the first summer we didn't go to Florida and I have no regrets. The cottage is clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need. It's quiet and the lake is great, especially the sandy beach. We brought our waverunners and enjoyed riding everyday. There is so much to do in the area for all ages.

My husband and I decided to take our first family vacation here at Twin Lake on the beach and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was wonderful to sit on the back deck and watch the beautiful sunsets. Our six month old daughter loved the water and it was great because we could sit her right down in the shallow water and watch her play. It was peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed at the house June 11 - 16 2007. Our family has been going up there for the last few years and I have to say it was our most enjoyable vacation yet. The house was perfect, the owners have thought of everything. It was the first time that anyone had taken the time to put together information on things to do and places to visit while you are there. I highly recommend this house or there new one for anyone who is looking for a family vacation. It will be a time you will never forget!

Very nice, clean vacation home. Lots of family activities such as games, puzzles, movies. Plenty of cookware and bakeware. Very close to many attractions.

We rented the cottage the week of Sept. 10-17. The first part of the week was cold and rainy, but the cottage is so comfy we stayed in and relaxed. There are a lot of things in the cottage to keep busy and it was very nice. The second part of the week it warmed up and the sun came out. I never caught so many pike in my life. All of us together caught about 40 from Thursday to Saturday. Kids had a great time swimming, and the nights around the campfire were great. It is a wonderful place to spend a week.

Our stay at your cottage was just delightful ! All we really needed to bring was a few clothes(because of the washer and dryer), and any fishing gear we needed. This gem is so well equiped it was like being at home. The beach was perfect for the kids, the area was loaded with fun things to do, We visited the art and county museums, Craig's Cruisers, a close by blue berry farm, Michigan Adventure, Duch Village, etc, etc. What a great time for all ages. You could not ask for more if looking for good fishing, attractions close by, and a clean super equiped cottage rental.

We spent the week of 7/8-7/15. My wife and I and our 2 children ages 6 & 15 (yes same marriage LOL) were there with my wifes brother and his 9 year old daughter. 6 of us altogether. The house suited our needs perfectly. We drove to Silver Lake area 3 times (Lots of "touristy" stuff to do and not that far away.) The best part is coming back to a "Not so touristy" place to spend your evenings, or whole days for that matter. The sandy, shallow, clean lake was perfect for the kids!!! We had a GREAT time. Kathy is a great owner and we will probably be back next year.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The kitchen had so many items that we felt right at home. I even decided to bake a cake. Everything was there, just had to buy the ingredients. Twin Lake was peaceful and my husband and son loved to go fishing every night. Make sure you bring a sweatshirt, those Michigan mornings can be cold on the lake! We enjoyed driving to the Hart/Montague trail. We picked it up in Whitehall (not to far from where we stayed). There was even a playground along the trail for our girls to play on. Oh, there is a playground around the corner from the cottage, also. Next year our girls will have a ball playing there. We had a wonderful time. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Jenn
