If you are looking for a quiet holiday on a beautiful unspoiled crime-free island with excellent restaurants and empty beaches, Virgin Gorda, the second largest of 40 islands in the British Virgins, is ideal. Sorry, no casinos, glitzy hotels, or golf courses, just reefs and sea and mountain parkland.

Our house, Oran na Mara, sits high on a hillside overlooking the North Sound and its colorful reefs and islands, and is angled to catch the best of the tradewinds as well as the magnificent view.

After passing through the gardens below the road, you enter directly into the large open pool area with a spacious private main bedroom on your right and the great room and two other double-size bedrooms on your left. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have en suite bathrooms.

Beyond the great room is a large covered outside patio where you can enjoy the sunset or a dinner prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen. There is also a large dining table in the great room. All rooms are beautifully furnished with a mix of island furniture and European antiques.

Water activities, beaches, food and souvenir stores, and fine restaurants are only minutes away either by foot or in your rental car. There is also convenient ferry service for day trips to Tortola, St. John, and St. Thomas.

Our home is managed by Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals, whose office is in Leverick Bay. In our absence, they will meet you at the dock and ensure that your vacation is hassle-free. They can also make arrangements in advance for car hire if you wish. Complimentary tennis facilities are available to our guests.
