The Alpine Treehaus is a charming Mountain Cabin nestled on a secluded hillside just outside Helen, Georgia. Enjoy your morning coffee from the rockers on the screened porch overlooking a hillside bursting with color in the fall and a cool shady green forest in the summer, and seasonal mountain vistas.
Solid wood paneling and cathedral ceilings, a charmingly carved stairway, and Dutch stencil on hand-made shutters make this cabin a part of the local Alpine culture.
A wood-burning fireplace warms a spacious living room with all the amenities of home. A comfortable bedroom downstairs hosts a Queen bed. There is a full kitchen, dining area and full bathroom downstairs. The upstairs loft sleeps 2 more in a pair of twin beds. A sitting area with a sofa and chair, and a full bathroom upstairs make the loft a comfortable separate living area when a larger group is staying (or a terrific get-away for the kids in your family!). The downstairs sofa folds out to sleep 2 more guests.
2 miles from Lake Unicoi and Anna Ruby Falls, 5 miles from Helen, 3 miles from the Old Sautee Store, and just down the road from Moccasin Creek State Park and Lake Burton, the Alpine Treehaus is quiet and remote, but a short drive to where all the action is: fishing, hiking, tubing the Chattahoochee, horseback riding, Oktoberfesting, Alpine strolling, shopping, dining, and so much more.
Although the cabin is very private, at the foot of the hill is Ain't B's Bakery and more. A wonderful bakery and kitchen featuring homemade omelets, country ham, Georgia BBQ, deli delights, delectable homemade pies, desserts, and pastries. She also carries some necessary camping staples for your convenience.
After you’ve done it all, come home and kick back for a soak in the 4-person jacuzzi on the screened porch by moonlight. Once you stay in this charming cabin, you'll want to come back with your family (or your Sweetheart!) year after year. |
