This small but beautiful, beach cottage appeals to travellers seeking a true getaway. It offers the best of both worlds: only a 2 1/2 minute walk to the beach and just one block from shops, restaurants and 'downtown' Folly Beach's night life...yet it's tucked away on a shady street lined with palm, live oak and magnolia trees. Enter your own private world behind the green garden gate to find a charming walkway with a flower-filled patio garden on one side and the entrance to the Enchanted Cottage on the other.
Inside the Enchanted Cottage you'll find the perfect home away from home for the single traveller or couple. In fact, many honeymooners and couples celebrate their anniversaries here. It's also great for a mother/daughter retreat and many writers have found it to be a productive and beautiful place to write.
This cottage is brand new but designed to fit the nearby 'vintage 1940's cottage look.' It has ceramic tile throughout and comfortable built-in day beds in the sitting area for reading, lounging and watching tv/with dvd. There is a full kitchen with full-size refrigerator,electric stove with oven, microwave, a coffee pot and a window over the sink that looks out into your garden. There is a full-size bathroom with a ceramic tile shower. A spiral staircase leads to the sleeping loft and a new, comfy queen-size mattress on a platform bed.
Just outside your cottage is a walled-garden patio complete with 2 lounge chairs for sipping your mint juleps (or your michelob), reading, or just looking up at the stars. And after a day spent at the beach, there's nothing better than an outdoor hot/cold shower where you can 'shower with the mermaids'.
Situated on Folly Beach, a classic 'American Beach Town,' this cottage is truly unique, charming, and yes, enchanted!
