Das Chalet is surrounded by old Cedars and Pines and within walking distance of the lake, and the West Shore beaches. Remodeled in 2005 and beautifully maintained, this Swiss-style mountain home is a combination of classic Tahoe furnishings, and modern day conveniences such as flat screen TV's, gas fireplace and a sauna. The living room combines knotty pine walls with a wood-burning stove. All of this creates an environment of the old mixed with the new. The large sunny decks in the front and back have lovely wooded views, with the recent addition of a hot tub. Located in the friendly Timberland neighborhood in Tahoe City, it is close to many walking and biking trails, as well as great eateries in Sunnyside. Parks nearby offer groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. And of course, it is conveniently located near world famous Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts.

Our home is located in one of the quietest neighborhoods in Lake Tahoe, just a few minutes drive north of Homewood or South of Sunnyside. You are close to skiing and some of the nicest beaches in the area.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our home is located on an exceptionally quiet street, and backs on to a green belt. There are great hiking trails walking distance from the house, and you are just few blocks from the bike path.
Best beach on the West Shore and only 10 minutes drive from the house
During the summer and fall don't miss the Thursday morning farmers market in Tahoe City, next to Commens beach, which has a great playground for the kids.
