The main floor features spacious lakeside lodge room and dining room reminiscent of the Adirondack Great Lodges. Cedar beams, cherry hardwood flooring, rustic hickory cabinetry, and pine and cedar walls provide a warmth unique to the Adirondacks. Locally mined granite accentuate Birches Lodge with countertops and fireplace. Adirondack furnishings complete the ambiance.
A fully equipped gourmet kitchen has been added for the discerning chef. The kitchen has been designed for maximum ease of use, permitting the cook direct access to an elevated dining bar as well as a beautiful view of Mirror Lake.
The main floor has a master bedroom, King bed with a rustic log headboard, with its own private lake view. The 2nd floor offers 3 additional bedrooms. A 2nd floor lakeside Master bedroom with Queen sleigh bed and private full bathroom, affords a spectacular lake view that is particularly beautiful in the morning. The "Moose room" is equipped with a Queen and twin bed. The "Bear room" has 2 twin beds. The living room has a Queen sleeper sofa. All bedrooms are decorated with cozy quilts, antique dressers, rustic cedar walls and Adirondack furnishings.
Mirror Lake is just a few steps from your back door, beyond a sloping private lawn. There is a spacious full-length deck with a 6-person hot tub and gas grill. In the summer, a canoe and paddle boat await you at the dock. A 6-person toboggan and showshoes are available for winter visitors.
Located just around the bend from historic Mirror Lake Inn, Birches Lodge is a comfortable walking distance to Lake Placid Village shops and restaurants. Minutes from Whiteface, Olympic attractions and the ADK hiking trails, Birches Lodge is the perfect blend of comfort and convenience.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid
Birches Lodge has beautiful, private, water frontage with a shallow entry for swimming.
The town is just across the lake, and an easy walk for all ages.
It is gorgeous.
Lake Placid is so quaint but oh-so popular and finding a parking spot can be exasperating...this particular property is very close, but still secluded and away from the tourists.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Lodge is beautiful inside... truly. The lake is right there..the water is clear and clean. The outdoor hot tub is so much fun! The paddle boat and canoe offer great leisure activities...paddle to town to go shopping! The gourmet kitchen is a joy to work in, you can eat in and still feel pampered. The mattresses are new and you will definitely get a good night's sleep! The lake views are particularly beautiful in the late morning.
Directly on the lake, and a close walk to town. A quiet and serene waterfront Lodge with beautiful views. Birches Lodge has its own private lake entry for an afternoon swim.
Tour boats offer a peek at old "water access only" Lodges of yesteryear.
Historic Mirror Lake Inn is located at the end of the shopping district on Mirror Lake. The quaint Cottage Restaurant is across the street from the Inn and has spectacular views of the High Peaks.
The Visitors center has the up-to-date activity calendar for the region as well as local maps. They are helpful in offering suggestions for hiking, restaurants and shopping.

We purchased this property because of its fabulous location and private lake front. Simple as that. Beautiful lake, great 4 bedroom. It had been owned by one family for years, passing it from one generation to the next. When it became available, we purchased it with a rental business in mind. Since acquiring the Lodge, it has been totally renovated "Adirondack style" (complete with gourmet kitchen!)
We try to offer our guests the best vacation home they have ever stayed in. We are very committed to having each of our guests become "return customers."
