We have stayed at many VRBOs, and this was one of our favorites! The owners had payed attention to every small detail making our stay effortless. We were even greeted with cookies, an Easter basket and egg dyeing kit upon arrival! Our kids were thrilled! The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen has every supply you can think of for cooking and/or baking. The pool is salt water (I think) and warm so we played in it for hours at a time. We were travelling with small children, and the owners of the condo provided all of the "kid stuff"-- high chair, pack and play, stroller, and even toddler rail! It was wonderful not to have to travel with all of that extra gear! The complex is located directly across a busy street from the beach access, but it is still quite a little jaunt down to Strand's Beach for small children. The beach itself was wonderful...Not too crowded, nice sand with a bathroom, a boardwalk, and lifeguard tower. This is a condo, so you have to make a little extra effort to be respectful of the neighbors. I would enthusiastically recommend this condo to anyone looking for a vacation rental in the area.

Everything was just as pictured, such a beautiful area and home. We felt so comfortable and were able to truly relax. My family of four had a wonderful time at the beach and watching movies in the evenings. We were sad to leave Bandit's Cove, we are already planning our next trip. Don't believe any negative reviews you read about this property, everything was clean and more than we expected. Thank you Mike and Michelle. PS if you get the chance try Capt. Dave's whale and dolphin watching trip, it was spectacular!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bandit’s Cove. The condo is beautifully updated, furnished and is stock with most things you can think of. Nice features are DVDs to watch, beach equipment, fairly close to the beach, heated pool. There are many things to do nearby at the Harbor or elsewhere in Orange County. If in the area in the future we would definitely stay here again. This is probably the nicest condo we’ve stayed at renting several through VRBO. Also, the owners are great and helpful.

My family and I came to the U.S. from Spain. We stay at Bandits Cove for first time. It was wonderful. Very clean, close to the beach and many resteruants. We have two small children and the house was comfortable and safe for them as well. We also enjoyed the pool. Next time we visit California we will be staying at Bandit's Cove. Thank you.

We absolutely loved staying at the Bandit's Cove. The condo had everything you need for cooking, for going to the beach and much more. I would definitely return and the owner made it so easy from the moment we got there to when we left. This is truly a great find and will return.

We truly enjoyed our Bandits Cove stay, this past July. Location was perfect for beach and every activity nearby. The condo was filled with every amenity we could've needed. The cookies were a nice touch. The neighborhood was so friendly and just a few steps to the beach. We will definitely stay again.

We Were A Three-Peat Customer! We LOVE This Condo!

We originally found the Hardy's condo through VRBO when traveling for a work conference and wanting to find a "home" for my family while attending the conference. What a find it has been!?! Impeccable service, thoughtful hospitality, updated furnishings, and clean clean clean... are the first words that come to mind. And then.. there's the location! You're within sight/steps (across the road) of the Salt Creek Beach which is a joy to jog. We've used this same condo now three times--two times for work, one time (most recently) for pleasure. Among the super fun things we did.. Disneyland/California Adventure Park; Captain Dave's Whale Watching (we saw two whales! and loads of dolphins); and Heisler Park tidal pools in Laguna. Do yourself a favor.. stay at the Hardy's condo; kick up your heels and have a worry-free week in SoCal. You deserve it!

my wife, son and i really enjoyed our stay. We liked having 2 baths and 2 nice decks. this gave us much more personal space than a large hotel suite and for less money. the kitchen has been nicely remodeled with new appliances and granite counters. The kitchen, dining area, and living room all have a nice newer hardwood floor. We also liked the neighborhood/upscale,safe , convenient to a lovely beach/1 mile to downtown. A Fabulous home away from home.

My husband & I recently returned from a 2 1/2 week stay at Bandit's Cove. The property far exceeded our expectations. It was ideally situated - close a gorgeous beach, excellent restaurants & interesting sites. The condo itself was clean, comfortable & thoughtfully provisioned with everything one could possibly want. The owner was always available & ready to answer questions & help with anything we needed. There was a large file folder in the family room with brochures on all the local places of interest. The owner also thoughtfully provided a binder with information on the condo itself - TV channels, WiFi reception etc. Also included were reviews on restaurants & maps & driving directions to grocery stores, movie theatres, malls, & even a discount card for the local food store. As a result all we had to do was unpack & start enjoying our vacation.But the icing on the cake was arriving hungry & tired to find a plate of fruit & cookies & 4 bottles of water waiting for us! We are checking dates & making plans to return next year.

We had a great time at Bandit's Cove. There was no detail missed, the condo was beautiful, clean and all together perfect! Mike was great to deal with, he was prompt and answered all of our questions. The beach was beautiful, however, the people mover wasn't working so there were a lot of stairs to climb. We didn't mind this but anyone who has trouble might not want to make the walk. The area was beautiful and all we needed was close by - Thank you Mike for making this vacation one of our best yet! Our 2 year old had a blast and especially loved the beach toys and chair. Thank you!

Very, very, imressive

We stayed at the condo for spring break in 2011 with our two kids aged 2 and 4. The condo was even better than what we expected and we still talk about, how well the condo was appointed and decorated with everything we needed. We had one smal problem while we were there. It took a quick phone call to the owner and within 10 minutes it had been taken care off. Overall, we were very, very, impressed with the condo and can highly recommend it.

This is a lovely, immaculate apartment in a very well maintained and secure complex. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of clean linens for the various beds. Tastefully furnished. Thank you again for the lovely stay. We would highly recommend it to anyone.

I stayed in the Condo for 2 weeks in October 2010 with my wife and 2 children aged 12 and 8. What a wonderful place to stay with every facility you could ever wish for. Spotless clean and just minutes from the beautiful beech and pacific ocean. Plenty of shopping and places to visit like Sea World,San Diego Zoo and Universal Studios Hollywood.We would most definitely return for another stay Fantastic Condo, Fantastic location.

Advertisement and reality

We were actual two weeks (from July 18, 2010 on) in this flat. The flat is one of more than 100 flats in an ample residential arrangement. All residents can shareing the only one pool. Under the flat also lived people. Also beside. This is not mentioned in the announcement. The neighbour gave a shower every morning at 6 o'clock what was to be heard very clearly in the master-bedroom. The masterbed is a normaly American implementation - not an extra luxus version. Little things did not function or were tried to repair. The photos are formed everybody very advertising-efficiently with a extremly wide angle lens camera. From balcony one sees on the roofed parking bay. From the other balcony on the neighbouring house about 10 metres away. Directly above about 15 minutes of distant beach several houses are in new building process. In the photos gets the impression to live directly near the beach. This is not the reality. In the bathroom (for the masterbedroom) a cleaning of the dividing discs is necessary. In comparison to Florida very expensive rate. For the same price to get actaully two houses for rent in very excellent condition. I would not award six stars for this flat and situation, at most three. We travel now for the last 18 years to the USA and would not book this flat for this price once again. The owner was very friendly. The surrounding area is always esteemed a trip.

We stayed at Bandit Cove during the summer. The condo was very quiet and the pool was never crowed. The condo had everything we needed plus more. My daughter has allergies and the place was exceptionally clean. Our family of 5 slept very comfortable. We have stayed in many vacations rentals and this is our favorite. The beach is very close and beautiful. Our three small children had a great time. Mike and Michelle delivered on every request. .

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 3 weeks. All of the small touches were great... from the beach stuff to the necessities in the kitchen. It really made things much easier. We love the beach, pool, location and of course the weather. We will recommend your place to our friends. Thanks again for all your help prior to our stay and during our trip. Great location with close public beach access.

This condo was in very good condition and offered two good size bedrooms, and two full baths. Everything you needed was in the condo and there are 3 flat screen TVs (each bedroom has one, plus living area). Access to the beach takes about 15 minutes. It is about a 5 minute walk to the elevator which takes you most of the way down. You typically have to wait a few minutes for the elevator and sometimes might have to wait longer if there is a line. After getting off the elevator, it was about another few minutes walk to the beach, down a fairly steep slope. Older people or folks with walking issues may have problems going down that last bit, or walking back up. Then again, there are other public beach access points a short drive away, without having to walk up or down any stairs. Lots of places close by for dining. Overall, a very nice location. We would stay here again.

Owner response: We really appreciate feedback from our guests and the Ben D family provided a description of our condo, location and nearby dining options that is consistent with input from our previous guests. We would like to point out that the walking access to the beach has been greatly enhanced compared to less than a year ago, as the previous short choppy steps have been replaced with well spaced tiered steps that make walking up and down to the beach much easier than in the past. Many of our guests have indicated that it takes approximately 4-6 minutes walking time from the front door of the condo to toes in the water. However, if you want take the funicular down to the beach; you should add another 1-2 minutes time. Regardless, once you arrive at Salt Creek Beach, you and your family and friends are sure to have an enjoyable time.

My name is Debbi Lucero and my husband, two sisters, and two nieces stayed at your condo Oct. 22-27, 2009. I was very pleased; the condo was very comfortable and clean which is top priority for me. We appreciated the cookies after a long day of traveling. My nieces had never seen the ocean, so I was very proud to show them the ocean for the first time from your beautiful beach; it could not have been more perfect. The whole area was very easy to navigate with the freeway close by if needed, which we did several times. We will definately visit the area again and will definately recommend your condo to our friends and family. Thank you so much.

My sister, her 2 kids and my husband and I stayed at the condo Sept 20-27. Mike and Michele were wonderful! We loved this property and enjoyed our week in beautiful Southern California. This condo was by far the BEST location for our vacation. My mother was married at the Ritz Carlton and we were a block from the hotel! The beach is beautiful and I actually thought it was nicer than the actual 'ritz' beach. I would recommend this place to ANYONE and I would love to come back and stay another week or longer in the future! Thank you so much for everything! We truely had a blast at your place.

My name is Melissa Martello and I am from Camden, Maine. My husband, Justin, and I stayed two weeks in the month of June at the Hardy’s beautiful beach house in Dana Point, California. This was my first time experiencing the state of California. Justin convinced me that we needed to stay in Orange County, and mainly Dana Point for our vacation. He has been to the California Coast before. So we found the Hardy’s Beach House online and decided to give it a shot. When I arrived in Dana Point, I fell in love. And the Hardy’s fabulous beach house made it even harder to leave. The Hardy beach house is beautifully decorated to feel like you are at home. I have never felt so comfortable staying at a rental property before. There was plenty of space for all of my luggage (I am a heavy packer), there were plenty of clean towels, toiletries, and everything was very very clean. The Hardy’s have a detailed planning guide of all the local restaurants, theme parks, as well as emergency phone numbers. It is very well organized. There is so much to do in Dana Point, you won’t get bored. The best part….they are right across the street from the Pacific Ocean. Every night Justin and I would walk to the beach to watch the beautiful sun set over the Pacific. On clear days you can see Catalina Island. Thanks for all those entertaining magazines, gave me plenty to read while lounging on the beach. The next time I visit California, I won’t stay anywhere else. Thank you Hardy family! We will be back!

We spent a week at the condo in late June 2005 and had a great time. It only took 3 minutes walking from the front door to the ocean waters (we were at the beach every day, the weather was perfect and it wasn't very crowded). The condo is beautifully decorated, clean and the kitchen has everything you need. We will definately come again.
