Ranch style Home on beautiful Lake Panasoffkee with private fishing and covered boat dock. Home sits on three acres filled with 100 year old oaks and cypresses. Lake Panasoffkee is a nature lovers' paradise with 4 primary springs feeding its flowing waters. Some of the springs can be reached by canoe or small boat. The lake is 9 miles long by 3 miles wide at its widest. Its waters flow into the pristine Withlacoochie river, itself a fisherman's favorite. The Withlacoochie is reachable by boat from the lake when there is not a drought.
The lake area is a bird watcher's paradise, sightings include bald eagles, rare white pelicans, sandhill cranes, and many species of herons and ibis. Two-thirds of Lake Panasoffkee is surrounded by 10,000 acres of protected forest preserve owned by the state of Florida. The forest offers hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. It is open to hunting during season.
The city of Orlando and natural attractions, including Gulf of Mexico beaches and estuaries, are within 1 hour of Lake Panasoffkee.
