Red Hawk Lodge is one of the most desirable properties in River Run. Walk just 100 yards to the high-speed gondola for winter skiing, spring and summer picnics, or autumn leaf viewing. A short stroll also takes you to the numerous shops, festivals, and restaurants in River Run Village. (Yes, there is a Starbucks!)

If solitude is more your speed, you will appreciate the peaceful setting of this Red Hawk Lodge condominium. This is a top floor, end unit with views of the mountains, ski slopes, and valley. The spa and pool area borders pristine wetlands at the foot of the mountain, adjacent to a paved hiking/biking trail, which connects all of Keystone's villages. The property also boasts a fitness center and private ski lockers.

This one-bedroom, one-bath unit with a pull-out living room sofa comfortably sleeps four. The open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and remote-controlled skylight window in the bedroom contribute to a spacious feeling.

Year Purchased: 2005

We are a professional couple in our 40s and reside in Denver. We have two children, Alexander (5) and Olivia (3). Our son began skiing at the age of 2, and our daughter says she would like to start this year. We take great pride in our second home and love sharing our property with guests who appreciate it as much as we do.

Why the Owner Chose River Run, Red Hawk Lodge

We originally looked at properties at Breckenridge but fell in love with our condo at first sight. It is a top floor, end unit with great views and nice finishes. It is perfect for a couple or small family. Best of all, Keystone offers a plethora of activities and is kid friendly. And, with two small children, it was very important for us to be able to get on and off the mountain quickly. Since it's a quick drive from Denver, quiet yet close to the village, convenient, and amenity-rich, we just couldn't imagine ourselves anywhere else.

The Unique Benefits of this Condominium

Our property is unique because it is a top floor, end unit. We're at the opposite end of the hallway from the elevators which adds to the privacy factor. We have vaulted ceilings which makes our interior feel light and airy. Our floor plan is open as opposed to the "shotgun" layout of many of the units in River Run. Red Hawk Lodge is extremely desirable since it's one of the closest properties to the new gondola. It also has an outdoor pool/hot tub area with unobstructed views of the wetlands and has direct access to the paved bike/ski path at the south end of the property.

    • I rented this condo from Kim for myself and my parents, because the rest of our family was visiting from San Francisco and they wanted to go skiing/snow boarding in Colorado. The main reason we chose this condo was they were some of few who would rent for less then 5-7 days over the Christmas holiday. We rented for 3-nights from 12/25-12/28, and after arriving we were more then happy with the location, condition, size, amenities, etc. of the unit. It feels much larger then it is because of the vaulted ceilings being it's on the 5th and top floor. The view from the living room and balcony is wonderful, you can watch skiing/snow boarding from a couple hundred feet away. The walk to the River Run Village is quite short and very pleasant. The price Kim charges, even over holidays, is much less then most other comparable units. We would certainly rent from her again. Lastly, it was very professional and nice of her to rent for those three days right in the middle of the busiest weeks at Keystone! She also did not pester us about payment after we sent in the deposit, in fact I think we were late with the final payment, but she said nothing. I also bothered her several times about how to pay and use Paypal, but she was always answering my emails in a very professional manner.

    • We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It is very nicely furnished, clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is quietly situated on the top floor. Nice view at River Run slope and lifts from the balcony. Balcony is also nice to enjoy some afternoon sun! Building is just a short walk to River Run gondola or Summit Express so no need to take the shuttle. Owners are very nice people to work with. Stay 3/2/07-3/10/07

    • Wonderful condo. Wonderful location. Very close to the village and slopes but still somewhat isolated. Walked to the slopes with a 6 & 9 year old but the shuttle bus was even more convenient. We loved the fireplace, indoor parking, ski lockers.
