  This is the second time we have stayed at this home. It such a great place for a large group of people. This time we stayed for a wedding and the bride/groom stayed in the house with us. We gave them the master suite, with hot tub right outside their door and it was perfect. We were able to all hang out, cook our meals. The backyard is huge and it's in a beautiful location. Not too far from the state line, it's a $20 cab ride down town.

  I didn't want to write a review because we LOVED the place SO MUCH, I wanted to keep it our SECRET SUMMER place for as long as I could! But it's not fair to Rex, who is absolutely the most responsive owner you'll ever meet! So I'm telling you about our awesome secret summer home getaway...and I know you'll feel the same way about both the home AND Rex after you've stayed here too! This is that ONE home where everything is perfect! The Location: a quiet, residential court. The Backyard: huge, with gate that opens to National Forest trails. Decks/patio: encircling the home; cool pines provide shade; roomy spa on back deck (fits 4 adults and 2 preschoolers comfortably). Rooms: clean, comfortable, spacious, yet not so huge that you'd dread having to go get something you forgot in another room. Plenty of linens and towels. Kitchen: well-appointed & easy to maneuver; convenient washer & dryer; fridge has ice-maker/ice water/crushed ice (that alone was a luxury - the water is extra tasty in Tahoe!). We stayed three weeks last summer and we're getting ready to go back again this summer. Our 2 (adult) kids and 2 grandkids (4 & 6) joined us last year and they, too, can't wait to come back this year! When we weren't playing in the yard, we were hiking right out the back door and into the National Forest trails and nearby creeks. Lake Tahoe beaches were just a short hop away by car, as were the Shops at Heavenly and, of course, the casinos at night (good thing Grandma - that's me! - liked to stay home and watch movies on cable while the grandkids slept, tired but happy from all the fun!) And you will never find an owner as responsive and concerned about your comfort as Rex. I thought I blew the microwave on our first day last year, and was frantic about facing 3 weeks without a microwave! Rex not only responded to my e-mail within the hour, he'd already ordered a replacement by the time he replied. (Now imagine how foolish I felt when it turned out I didn't have it plugged in correctly? I was able to tell Rex to cancel the order, and he was so nice about the whole mix-up!) Seriously, this is the BEST HOUSE EVER and I can't wait to get back there this year! Thanks to Rex for allowing us to have our own special Summer Place at the Lake!

  We took the kids to Tahoe to enjoy the snow and they spent most of the time in the backyard, playing in the snow and the hot tub. The house was beautiful. The communication with Rex was fast and reliable. We will definitely do it again during the summer.

  Really enjoyed our stay. Although the whole back yard and front yard was covered with snow, there was the pool table and ping pong table to enjoy inside of the house. The hot tub was a plus on those very chilly nights. The neighbors dog welcomed us when we arrived, hanged out with us when we grilled in the front, and said his goodbyes when we left. We would like to thank Rex for our stay and hope to come back really soon.

  This home has a great location and you can't beat the price. The property was clean and easy to find. The beds were comfortable. The gas fireplace was very nice. The owner Rex was very helpful. My kids enjoyed the friendly and huge, neighbors dog "Fred", sledding on the large hill just down the street and the pool table. Mom enjoyed the large space and that the kids were very busy in this house and neighborhood.

  My grandparents took me with them to South Lake Tahoe about a month ago. The house was really cool, especially the hot tub and the game room. I'm learning how to play pool and ping pong. I talked about the house so much, my mom and her fiance wanted to see it. We just got back and had a great time. I know we'll go up again when there is snow.

  We have been coming to Tahoe for 10 years and we really feel we have found a great rental. It was clean, good bedding, big kitchen table for our Monopoly game, and a beautiful, trimmed lawn in the backyard. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful area as we sat on the back deck. My kids loved the downstairs den and we enjoyed sitting under the stars in the toasty hot tub. Rex, the owner was very helpful and we will, without a doubt, rent here again. Thank you, Natalie

  We stayed up at this house late in September. We went and loved it. The house was very clean and very roomy. The linens were not old at all which was in the last review. The spa was great. Great location. The pool table downstairs was so fun for the kids and the backyard was really big for the kids to run around. Quiet neighborhood. Close to ski lifts, casinos and stores. Would recommend it to all my friends. Can't wait to go back up there again.

  we stayed here last august, we were so disappointed because the house is very old and cleanliness is very poor. we even shared the house with at least 4 mice running around from the kitchen to the living room! the beddings are overused and dull. you could even inhale some dust from the pillows and linens! on our second day first thing in the morning what we've done is to wash all our beddings! hopefully this review would make the owner at least aware of the actual living condition on thier property. the only good thing on this property is the surrounding areas! overall we wo'nt recommend this to others unless they will at least make some effort to update thier property. we're not surprise that this property only asked for a cheaper rate compare to others. we don't get value for our money!

  This house is very beautiful inside and out. I rented the house for the weekend because I was getting married. Everything was perfect, I would highly recommend it.. I would give it 5 stars

Cancellation policy:

Maximum 4 cars at house, park 2 in garage and 2 in driveway.Take all garbage to bear box Thurs.night, or at checkout, whichever comes first. Pick up is early Fri. morning. Strip all beds of dirty sheets and pillow cases, throw on floor near clothes washer with all dirty towels. Wash and put away all dishes/pots/pans et al. No parking next to street in front of house. Pets off beds and furniture. Get owner's permission for any pets at house $25 pet fee with owner's approval.

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
