Makena Surf F210 is a luxurious, secluded, beachfront condominium located in the exclusive Makena Surf Resort. This is a gated, low-rise community complete with lush tropical gardens, and with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Directly across the road are the famous Wailea and Makena Golf Courses. A picturesque beach fronts the property where many weddings take place because of its romantic setting; and families enjoy many water activities or just playing on the beach. Makena Surf F210's lanai provides the perfect spot to watch the many humpback whales in season (November through March).
Also from the lanai you can see lots of turtles--a great place to snorkel or dive. One of the best dive areas on Maui (Five Caves) is less than 1/4 mile away. Makena Surf F210's spacious (1564 square feet.) interior is comfortably decorated with island-style furniture and a tropical feeling throughout. Free long distance phone (US and Canada) and internet service are provided. The private lanai offers 180-degree views of five islands and breathtaking sunsets.

Why the Owner Chose Makena
We found our unit (F210) at Makena Surf in 1988. At that time we had owned a place in Kihei for about 10 years, and had wanted to find a place right on the water. We couldn't have found a more perfect spot--just a grass lawn between us and the ocean! Looking out at the beautiful 180-degree view every morning is pure heaven. Also from our lanai we have "front-row-center" seats for the sunsets. A very short walkway through the tropical gardens gets us to the expansive beach. We love the privacy we have as a second floor unit (and only 8 steps up)--we don't have anyone walking in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, as happens on the first level units. (And we also don't have the additional 2 flights of stairs up to the third level!)

Just a few feet from the water. A lovely beach on both sides of our property. You'll love the privacy as well as the convenience of this tropical setting.
One of the best dives on Maui--1 minute drive. You can enter at Five Caves and exit at Makena Landing. Turtles, caves, varieties of fish, octopus, and perhaps the timid resident reef shark.
SO handy for golf, a beautiful restaurant, and of course, always a view of the ocean. Ask about special golf rates when staying at Makena Surf.
Less than 5 minutes to more golf! The restaurant is open for lunch and offers gorgeous views. We love the onion rings and fish sandwiches. Ask about special golf rates for Makena Surf guests.
A complete range of shopping experience. Fine dining: Tommy Bahama's, Ruth Chris, and Longhi's. For a good hamburger, try Hamburger in Paradise. Grocery items available at ABC and Whaler's Market.

We live in Belmont, CA, and also spend time in Palm Desert during the winter months. We own our Makena Surf F210 unit as a family (our 3 children and their spouses). We have 8 grandchildren. We are able to enjoy 1-2 months there every year. Between golf and scuba diving we can keep busy, but also make time to relax on the lanai, the beach, or at the pool.

Beginning with the graciousness of the owners and ending with an incredible week on Maui, our experience at Makena Surf F-210 was unbeatable! We enjoyed snorkeling, turtle watching from the lanai, gazing at the incredible sunsets, the beach, bike riding and relaxing in the elegant comfort of this beautiful condominium. The unit is located in a wonderfully landscaped and maintained complex and is conveniently located near the pool. Most importantly, it couldn't be better situated if you're looking for the best view on Maui. The unit is decorated with class, and all the conveniences and comforts are provided. We can't say enough about the care and responsiveness of the owners and their concern that we had what we needed for our family to have the greatest time. Thank you George and Carolyn!

We stayed in this unit for five nights this spring and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The unit itself is quite spacious. My husband and I were sharing the unit with another couple, and we had plenty of privacy and room to hang out for the four of us. By far the best part about this condo is the location. It's right on the water and the view is absolutely incredible. We spent a lot of time just sitting out on the large balcony watching the waves and looking for whales. There is also a lovely sandy beach where you can lounge around and swim (the waves are fairly mild, esp. in the morning) and there are also two lovely pools with lounge chairs. The grounds at this property are impeccably maintained. The owners of this unit go above and beyond what you expect from most vacation rentals (they had a well-organized binder with information and menus from nearby restaurants, they provided laundry detergent, etc.). Although I myself didn't interact with them, my sister, who made the researvations said that they seemed really nice and helpful. Another bonus at this place is that there is a gas grill right on the lanai, so you can throw on some barbeque and eat at the table out there (the view is better than what you'd get at almost any fancy restaurant around). At one point, we went to Wailea to walk on the path along the water, which means that you get to see most of the big hotels/condos in Wailea. Usually, on a walk like this, I would be looking at these fancy places and wishing we could be staying there. However, all four of us agreed that we much preferred our condo unit compared to any of the other places we saw. For a single family, this place would be quite expensive, but totally worth it if you can afford it. For us, having two couples stay together and split the cost made it a great deal. I have stayed in Hawaii before, but this was by far the best trip, in large part due to the lovely condo unit. I'm already dreamining of our next stay!

Maken Surf F210 is heaven on earth! The prettiest spot on Maui and a terrific condo to match. The condo is comfortable, convenient and oh the views! We spent hours on the Lanai watching the wales, grilling lunch or dinner, reading, sunning or snoozing! We love the quiet of the complex, tennis courts and having the beach right there. The VRBO was new to us and it was a breeze. The owners were so easy to work with and the whole process was seamless! Our Brothers reunion was a hit and we hope to do it again...maybe even in 2011!! THANKS!!
