Our stay at Makena Surf was absolutely wonderful. The unit itself was more than adequate to take care of four people. Another couple who was traveling with us, stayed in the guest room and we all had more than enough room. One of the first things that comes to mind, was our time spent out on the lanai watching sunrises and sunsets, as well as our late evenings out there listening to the sound of the ocean while playing cards, or just drinking wine and listening to the sounds of the night. We spent alot of time traveling the island, and as normal, our favorite place is still Wailea! This was our third trip and hopefully we will be back before the end of 2012. If anyone is out there hesitating on this unit, DON'T, .....it is a real MUST!!

Beginning with the graciousness of the owners and ending with an incredible week on Maui, our experience at Makena Surf F-210 was unbeatable! We enjoyed snorkeling, turtle watching from the lanai, gazing at the incredible sunsets, the beach, bike riding and relaxing in the elegant comfort of this beautiful condominium. The unit is located in a wonderfully landscaped and maintained complex and is conveniently located near the pool. Most importantly, it couldn't be better situated if you're looking for the best view on Maui. The unit is decorated with class, and all the conveniences and comforts are provided. We can't say enough about the care and responsiveness of the owners and their concern that we had what we needed for our family to have the greatest time. Thank you George and Carolyn!

We stayed in this unit for five nights this spring and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The unit itself is quite spacious. My husband and I were sharing the unit with another couple, and we had plenty of privacy and room to hang out for the four of us. By far the best part about this condo is the location. It's right on the water and the view is absolutely incredible. We spent a lot of time just sitting out on the large balcony watching the waves and looking for whales. There is also a lovely sandy beach where you can lounge around and swim (the waves are fairly mild, esp. in the morning) and there are also two lovely pools with lounge chairs. The grounds at this property are impeccably maintained. The owners of this unit go above and beyond what you expect from most vacation rentals (they had a well-organized binder with information and menus from nearby restaurants, they provided laundry detergent, etc.). Although I myself didn't interact with them, my sister, who made the researvations said that they seemed really nice and helpful. Another bonus at this place is that there is a gas grill right on the lanai, so you can throw on some barbeque and eat at the table out there (the view is better than what you'd get at almost any fancy restaurant around). At one point, we went to Wailea to walk on the path along the water, which means that you get to see most of the big hotels/condos in Wailea. Usually, on a walk like this, I would be looking at these fancy places and wishing we could be staying there. However, all four of us agreed that we much preferred our condo unit compared to any of the other places we saw. For a single family, this place would be quite expensive, but totally worth it if you can afford it. For us, having two couples stay together and split the cost made it a great deal. I have stayed in Hawaii before, but this was by far the best trip, in large part due to the lovely condo unit. I'm already dreamining of our next stay!

Maken Surf F210 is heaven on earth! The prettiest spot on Maui and a terrific condo to match. The condo is comfortable, convenient and oh the views! We spent hours on the Lanai watching the wales, grilling lunch or dinner, reading, sunning or snoozing! We love the quiet of the complex, tennis courts and having the beach right there. The VRBO was new to us and it was a breeze. The owners were so easy to work with and the whole process was seamless! Our Brothers reunion was a hit and we hope to do it again...maybe even in 2011!! THANKS!!

We put the key and the gate card in the mail today. I was sorry to let go of them. Your condo was beautiful and we couldn't have expected anything better. The cool Hawaiian breezes that came through the sliding glsss doors combined with the awesome views of the ocean and neighboring islands were perfect. We used the beach every day. We only wish that we could have stayed longer. Thank you for renting out your Hawaiian home.

This is an absolutely lovely condo,just steps up from the gorgeous tiled pool, overlooking the reef. We saw turtles from our lanai! Gorgeous views! Loved having a grill right on the lanai. Beautiful interior decorating!

Just got back home from an amazing stay...it was an awesome trip, and the location was better than we had imagined...waking up and watching the sun rise from the lanai drinking our cup of fresh kona coffee, saying 'hi' to our little turtle friends, and then joining them a few minutes later!..thanks again for making it possible for us...what a blessing! Maui has always been our favorite home away from home. After many visits here, this is probably our last. At the ages of 90 and 88, we were pleased to be here for our youngest daughter's wedding on the beach. Your home is lovely.

We stayed here in May 2008 and it was fabulous. The views are intoxicating from the living room, kitchen, and lanai. We loved the beach which was great for our young kids until the afternoon when all beaches in South Maui get a little rough. The unit is amazing, comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, and stocked with anything and everything you could imagine you'd need. The owners are very pleasant and we were also impressed by Ali'i, the management company. We will be back!

The Webpage barely covers how nice Makena Surf is. And Unit F-210 is so beautiful--we'll never forget the beautiful sunsets over Lanai, while we enjoyed our margaritas on "our" lanai (only about 30 feet from the surf!) Being scuba divers, we loved how close it was to great snorkeling (right in front of the lanai!), and scuba diving--5 Graves (one of Maui's best dive spots) only a few hundred feet away. Or the Nature Preserve Ahihi about 5 miles further, where one can always get into the ocean, even on days when the surf is rough elsewhere on the island. And a peaceful beach only 200 feet away from the door. We can still smell the fragrance of the tropical gardens around the unit, the huge pool that we had to ourselves so often---and the beautiful furnishings inside. YES on Makena Surf F-210!!

WOW--where do we start! What a wonderful, relaxing 10 days we have had. We enjoyed starting every morning on the lanai of the best unit in Makena Surf, and snorkelling and boogie-boarding on the best beach in Maui!

This location has it all. Walks on the beach, swims in the pool, and golf in our back yard. And when you come back to the condo, you are in the midst of nature with the ocean right beneath the lanai.

We stayed in your unit this past April. The pictures, although beautiful, do not do this unit justice. When we opened the front door, the view took my breath away. We have been to Hawaii a few times and this is the most beautiful place we have stayed in by far. We had a wonderful trip and waking up to the view from you unit was an incredible way to start everyday.....we really missed that!

It's been a pleasure to stay in your unit here at Makena Surf. Out of all the ocean, sand and surf spots we have visited over the years, we always return to Maui more than any. In fact, having stayed at nearly every vacation rental in Wailea, Makena Surf is our FAV! Moreover, this is the 3rd unit we have rented at this complex. You should know it is the best yet. You have added addtional touches of items that are above the norm.
