Our location is just perfect for day trips around Anchorage and attractions within the city. Must see's are The Native Cultural Center to learn about Alaska's indigenous peoples, The Anchorage Museum, The Alaska Zoo, Alaska Railroad Depot...I strongly suggest a train trip for breathtaking scenery and viewing wildlife, Hike Flat Top Mountain, Walk or bike The Coastal Trails, Potters Marsh for bird and wildlife viewing, Portage Glacier, Alyeska Ski Chalet in summer for tram rides to the top or world class skiing in winter, Crow Creek Mine in Girdwood for some fun panning for gold, and lets not forget The Double Musky Inn for a 5 star dinner in a log cabin! About the owner: Alaska has been my home for 27 years now. I'm convinced there is no place I'd rather be!
Why the Owner Chose Anchorage:
Anchorage is the main hub for the entire state. After staying in hotels with the kids when I came to 'town' for shopping or business, I decided there had to be a better way! Staying in a hotel just didn't work for us any more, and we knew other families would appreciate an alternative. We now live in Anchorage and enjoy all it has to offer on a daily basis. It is amazing that you can go to the theater and see a moose on the way home!
