Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
My family loves Alaska and all it has to offer. Hunting, fishing, and camping are some of the things our family enjoys. We got "island fever" after living on Kodiak for almost 20 years and decided to make a change. We considered going back to the lower 48 to be closer to relatives, but the strong economy and beauty of Alaska kept us here. We recently relocated to Anchorage with our 3 children and love it!
Why the Owner Chose Anchorage
Anchorage is the main hub for the entire state. After staying in hotels with our kids when we came to "town" for shopping or business, we decided to buy our own place. Staying in a hotel just didn't work for us any more, and we knew other families would appreciate an alternative. We now live in Anchorage and enjoy all it has to offer on a daily basis. It is amazing that you can go to the theater and see a moose on the way home!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
We lived at our property after moving to Anchorage and found the convenience to shopping, restaurants, the airport, and activities was really nice. We enjoyed the fireplace in the winter time and a long soak in the jacuzzi bath after a camping trip was a treat!
We actually saw a huge bull moose walking right down the middle of our street while we were eating dinner!

We will tell others about "Stellar Nights".We loved the State fair, plane ride to Mt. McKinley, boat ride to see whales, birds, seals, etc.Hope we can come back again!

Thank-you for everything. Our stay here was nice, much better than a hotel! The high-lights of our stay were panning for gold in Girdwood, helicopter ride to Punch Bowl Glacier, tram ride up Alyeska,Exit glacier tour in Seward, and the train ride to Denali Park. Praying we'll be back!

Julie, this was fantastic! The directions with the grocery store stop-over advice were great. We stopped and got juice and snacks, but on the way in, I realized I did'nt get coffee. When I arrived & found coffee with all the fixins, I was ecstatic. So in the morning I sat with a great cup of coffee to start my day, thanks! I want to commend your decor. Your rich Alaska themes are wonderful, even down to the towels and sheets!
