We had contracted and paid to spend the week, Aug 28-Sept 1 at the Quechee property. Hurricane Irene had different plans. We called to find out conditions and were told that the area was hard hit. Without hesitation the owners said full refund and promptly sent it to us as well! I will definitely consider this property again for either a winter or summer get-a-way.
Owner response:Hi Victor, Just saw your nice review. Come see us some other time! Jane Neilson

House was beautiful and perfect for our spring girls weekend with my mother, three sisters and three nieces. House was clean and close to everything that we wanted to do. Quechee is beautiful and Woodstock is right down the road. Thank you!

House is very cozy and a good place to relax after a long ski day. Ample monopoly sets and endless firewood set the stage for some family bonding with our three boys in this quiet setting.

From our guestbook: "Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cozy home. Quechee gave us more than we expected: golf, shopping in Woodstock and site seeing at Simon Pearce and Hanover, NH. Since the weather was unusually warm we swam in Lake Pinneo. We saw air balloons at the Green; just beautiful. We had a fabulous dinner at the Parker House in Quechee. Thanks again. Our daughter was thrilled with the zip line swing, the toys, books and swing set. We will take a lot of great memories home from our Quechee vacation."

From our Guestbook:"Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful cabin for a much needed weekend away. We hiked the Gorge, walked around Woodstock (had great chocolate on Main Street) and most importantly, RELAXED in front of the fire. Aah. We will be back!"

From our Guestbook: "This was a return visit for most of our group who was here last year. What beautiful country views! We had a wonderful visit to the Billings Farm and Museum- gorgeous quilts and so much information! Thanks so much for allowing our group of special friends to be at this idyllic "Spot in the woods!"

From our guestbook: Our kids enjoyed VINS, ballooning, Sugarbush Farm, Billings Farm, Woodstock lunch at Bentleys, Simon Pearce Restaurant (magnificent at sunset!), antique shopping, hiking in the Quechee Gorge, tubing and fishing, working out at the gym, dinner at the Black Angus and or course mini golf. What a week! Thank you! Your home was comfortable, clean and conveniently located."

From our Guestbook: "We loved it! Very fun and we cooked marshmallows and hotdogs in the fireplace. We took advantage of the indoor pool, climbed Mt. Tom and the kids learned how maple syrup is made at Sugarbush Farm. We had superb weather. Even in "mud season" this area is beautiful. The girls loved spending time at the house and called it "Home" more than once. It is so cozy and comfortable. Thanks for sharing your home!"
