We are a local couple who have lived here over 50 years combined. Max works for the local water utility and I have two retail souvenir stores. We both moved here temporarily, loved it so much we stayed a lifetime. Ask about our favorite hikes, ski hills and places to eat. Our kids are grown and now love to stay at the cabin with their adult friends when they visit. The nightlife is so close they can walk back and forth whenever they want.
I'm a Carroll College graduate and Max attended San Jose State. Our two sons are alumni of Northwestern University, Rush Medical and USC.

Awesome Tahoe Stay!

The cabin was great! Cleanliness, location, and amenities were all top-notch. It's only a few minutes walk to the casinos, restaurants, bars, shopping, Heavinly lifts, etc. It was nice and quiet since it's located on the end of a road. The cabin itself was decked out and everything was clean, labled for clarity, and new. The fireplace was great, as it was an automatic light...no need to mess with firewood. It was only two of us staying, but the cabin/parking is big enough for a much larger party. It snowed a couple inches the day we arrived, then cleared up for the rest of our stay....the owners were very easy to work with...overall a perfect trip! We'll be back!

My family of 5 stayed in this cabin during a week in April. Everything was immaculate and well-maintained. There were so many little touches and thoughtful items left in the cabin (I really appreciated the hand lotion after playing in the snow!) It was cozy and comfortable. My 6-year-old flopped on the floor after walking around the place and said, "This is the best place ever!" The kids were comfortable and so were my husband and I. It is very convenient to lots of things, but yet feels quiet and secluded. The owners were very helpful with providing information and contacting us in a timely fashion. We definitely plan to go back soon!

I hesitate to share my positive comments because I know the more people find out about this adorable and conveniently located cabin, the more difficult it will be for me to book it again in the future. I stayed here with a friend in mid-December, 2010. The inside the of the cabin is terrific - 7 separate beds, mountain themed, decor, newly remodeled bathroom and kitchen, and firewood provided. The grounds leave a little to be desired, as there is no landscaping per se, but I'm sure it looks like a winter wonderland with a bit of snow cover. The beast feature of all is the location. Yes - you can walk to the Heavenly gondola! It's about 4 blocks away. You're also within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the Heavenly Village area at the base of the gondola.

We stayed at this cabin in late August and loved it. We have a family cabin not far away in South Shore and it was not available this week, and so we found this gem! What a discovery it is! It is like being in a guest house of a friend! Everything is there and more. And little classy touches made the experience so easy. Even down to the skin cream, sewing kits, bug repellent, freshly washed linens and perfectly clean and ready bathrooms and kitchen! While we were staying there two new huge hardwood rockers were added to the front porch! Our vacation was so much more relaxing knowing that we had a fully-equipped "home" to hang-out at, or come back to. The near-by beach access is an easy walk, and the "private" beach is adult-friendly and kid-friendly alike, with a beautiful sandy beach, snack bar and friendly people. We easily walked to Stateline, and there is a huge Raley's shopping center literally 1 block away. The new Heavenly Valley Village is an easy walk, and it was fun to cruise around like a local. The beach club has a marina where you can rent water craft, and down the block you can go parasailing. There is a special swimming beach area with lifeguards. Sunsets are spectacular from there, and there are weddings almost every weekend afternoon to the right of the beach in the club's park. Back to the cabin: Downstairs is large and roomy, with plenty of room for your gang to hang out around the fireplace (in winter) or just sit around and read or play cards or spread out. A bunch of games are in the closet, there is a TV, DVD and a small stereo... all you need. Upstairs there is surprisingly ample room to spread out, and the second bathroom up there is great. The downstairs bathroom is very large, and has a great shower (an important feature for our gang). The kitchen has everything you need and more. Every time we turned around looking for staples or supplies they were there, with more to spare. The photos are accurate but don't convey how warm and fun the place is, and how relaxing the cabin is to walk into after a morning hike, a day at the beach or an evening at the clubs and casinos. It just feels like home, or like one of your best friends' second homes. The added feature: dog friendly, made it a special treat for us. Dog people are the best! If you visit next week, look in the cupboard for some extra treats! We are already figuring out our schedule to book this place again! Sharon, Matthew, Rebecca and Haley :

I stayed in this cabin over Memorial weekend, it was great! The cabin is very comfortable and clean. All the comforts of home in this cute cabin. Plenty of room for parking and I like the gated huge yard. Perfect for my little pooch, and outdoor games. Margie and John have done a great job decorating, I love all the little bears inside the cabin. I will be back for sure. Thanks, Lori
