Margie and Max's cabin was the perfect introduction to my family's first trip to Tahoe. The location is perfect - super close to Heavenly Village, and the very important Raley's supermarket, state line, and the lakeside marina beach. Driving in the area is easy, but walking is just as easy. Cabin has plenty of parking, great hot tub, beautiful rustic setting. Fireplace is so easy to use, couches and beds were so comfortable. Plenty of seating, appreciate instructions on how to use TV and DVD! Kitchen well stocked (thank goodness for the hot chocolate), everything well-labeled, great modern appliances (the only slight flaw being no automatic dishwasher). Downstairs main bathroom well stocked (LOVE the Nexus shampoo/conditioner), gorgeous tiling, super clean. Well stocked and easy to use washer/dryer area! Upstairs with plenty of beds, great 1/2 bathroom which was well stocked and design was so well done, it never felt crowded. Margie came by to check on us and Max took it upon himself to fix the BBQ tank in minutes! You are truly wanting for nothing here. We did go during off-season and it rained most mornings, so it was so wonderful to have a beautiful, comfortable cabin where we felt truly at home. This is how you should do Lake Tahoe - this beat any condo we would have rented in spades!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family arrived to spend Easter weekend, our first trip to the Tahoe area. This cabin is everything it is advertised as and more. A lot of thought, time, and money has gone into it. All of us were extremely happy with the "mood", and I don't know how she did it, but Margie has outfitted the place with every conceivable item you would need for an extended stay. We brought a couple lap dogs and they even had blankets and bowls awaiting them. The lake and casino's were easy walking distance. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. We will return. Thanks Margie for a great place! (There was one downside...the wife wants me to rock-tile our bathroom similar to the cabins).Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our stay was lovely. The cabin was convenient to Heavenly Village and about a 10 minute walk to the base of the gondola. It was quiet, comfortable and the furnishings are adorable. One of the bedrooms is a loft that you must walk through to get to the other bedroom. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen including Brita water pitcher, napkins, and toaster. We loved how easy it was to use the gas fireplace. A snow plowing service showed up promptly after the snowstorm. The owner was responsive to my questions before and during our stay. We would definitely rent this cabin again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Had a wonderful 4-night stay in this cozy cabin New Year's week ~ brought our two teens and labrador and it was a perfect fit! :) Just what we hoped for/expected due to accurate photos ~ charming, clean, well-stocked, and welcoming! Though cold outside (beautiful, fresh snow for skiing very close by!), cabin very toasty with good heat and fireplace ~ hot tub an extra nice plus! The personal touches were thoughtful and appreciated ~ such as a clean puppy blanket with shiny dog bowls waiting by the fire, our "Bear" headed straight to them :) Would definitely recommend, especially if you want close-by great skiing at beautiful Heavenly with fabulous vistas of Lake Tahoe/blue sky, etc.!! (Also, Margie/owner ~ helpful, responsive, truly nice to deal with ~ and sent our full "refundable dog deposit" back to us immediately!!)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This cabin is awesome! Great location in South Lake Tahoe. Walking distance to gondola and all casinos as well as many restaurants and shopping centers. Everything was set up just as we were informed and the owner Margie is very pleasant to work with. The cabin was very sufficient for our group of 7 with plenty of room for sleeping and chillen by the fire. Hot tub is also a plus especially after long day on heavenly. Will be coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was great! Cleanliness, location, and amenities were all top-notch. It's only a few minutes walk to the casinos, restaurants, bars, shopping, Heavinly lifts, etc. It was nice and quiet since it's located on the end of a road. The cabin itself was decked out and everything was clean, labled for clarity, and new. The fireplace was great, as it was an automatic light...no need to mess with firewood. It was only two of us staying, but the cabin/parking is big enough for a much larger party. It snowed a couple inches the day we arrived, then cleared up for the rest of our stay....the owners were very easy to work with...overall a perfect trip! We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family of 5 stayed in this cabin during a week in April. Everything was immaculate and well-maintained. There were so many little touches and thoughtful items left in the cabin (I really appreciated the hand lotion after playing in the snow!) It was cozy and comfortable. My 6-year-old flopped on the floor after walking around the place and said, "This is the best place ever!" The kids were comfortable and so were my husband and I. It is very convenient to lots of things, but yet feels quiet and secluded. The owners were very helpful with providing information and contacting us in a timely fashion. We definitely plan to go back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I hesitate to share my positive comments because I know the more people find out about this adorable and conveniently located cabin, the more difficult it will be for me to book it again in the future. I stayed here with a friend in mid-December, 2010. The inside the of the cabin is terrific - 7 separate beds, mountain themed, decor, newly remodeled bathroom and kitchen, and firewood provided. The grounds leave a little to be desired, as there is no landscaping per se, but I'm sure it looks like a winter wonderland with a bit of snow cover. The beast feature of all is the location. Yes - you can walk to the Heavenly gondola! It's about 4 blocks away. You're also within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the Heavenly Village area at the base of the gondola.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at this cabin in late August and loved it. We have a family cabin not far away in South Shore and it was not available this week, and so we found this gem! What a discovery it is! It is like being in a guest house of a friend! Everything is there and more. And little classy touches made the experience so easy. Even down to the skin cream, sewing kits, bug repellent, freshly washed linens and perfectly clean and ready bathrooms and kitchen! While we were staying there two new huge hardwood rockers were added to the front porch! Our vacation was so much more relaxing knowing that we had a fully-equipped "home" to hang-out at, or come back to. The near-by beach access is an easy walk, and the "private" beach is adult-friendly and kid-friendly alike, with a beautiful sandy beach, snack bar and friendly people. We easily walked to Stateline, and there is a huge Raley's shopping center literally 1 block away. The new Heavenly Valley Village is an easy walk, and it was fun to cruise around like a local. The beach club has a marina where you can rent water craft, and down the block you can go parasailing. There is a special swimming beach area with lifeguards. Sunsets are spectacular from there, and there are weddings almost every weekend afternoon to the right of the beach in the club's park. Back to the cabin: Downstairs is large and roomy, with plenty of room for your gang to hang out around the fireplace (in winter) or just sit around and read or play cards or spread out. A bunch of games are in the closet, there is a TV, DVD and a small stereo... all you need. Upstairs there is surprisingly ample room to spread out, and the second bathroom up there is great. The downstairs bathroom is very large, and has a great shower (an important feature for our gang). The kitchen has everything you need and more. Every time we turned around looking for staples or supplies they were there, with more to spare. The photos are accurate but don't convey how warm and fun the place is, and how relaxing the cabin is to walk into after a morning hike, a day at the beach or an evening at the clubs and casinos. It just feels like home, or like one of your best friends' second homes. The added feature: dog friendly, made it a special treat for us. Dog people are the best! If you visit next week, look in the cupboard for some extra treats! We are already figuring out our schedule to book this place again! I stayed in this cabin over Memorial weekend, it was great! The cabin is very comfortable and clean. All the comforts of home in this cute cabin. Plenty of room for parking and I like the gated huge yard. Perfect for my little pooch, and outdoor games. Margie and John have done a great job decorating, I love all the little bears inside the cabin. I will be back for sure. Thanks, LoriDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
