Kanaloa at Kona 1002 provides the perfect blend of luxury and value in an unsurpassed Hawaiian setting. This large (1500+ sq.ft.) and elegant VRBO Kona condo is situated on the north edge of the Kanaloa complex, facing the Kona Country Club course about 100 yards off the ocean. It's an ideal setting for fun family vacations or tranquil getaways. We've just completed new kitchen and living room upgrades, so it's looking better than ever.
The four-star Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona resort is famous for its gorgeous tropical landscaping and peaceful ambiance. Kanaloa features three swimming pool and spa complexes, lighted tennis courts, and fabulous oceanside dining on the premises at Jameson's Grill and Bar. The location is close to downtown Kona but away from the crowded "condo row" along Ali'i Drive. There are lots of nice places you can walk right from the front door. Escape the traffic!
Our unit is beautifully decorated and furnished, with a king bed in the master suite and two twin beds (or king conversion) in the second bedroom, plus two sofa beds. Very complete kitchen, TV/DVD/VCR, second TV in master bedroom, stereo, washer/dryer, and many extras. Wireless internet is free and available both in the unit and poolside. The large, shady lanai is surrounded by greenery, with lovely golf course and mountain views.
Please see the slideshow on our owner's website and our Kona condo pictures here on VRBO. Please contact Scott or Jen and let us help you plan your trip to the Big Island. Mahalo!

Perfect Kanaloa at Kona 2BR Family Condo | See Nov-Dec Deals
Year Purchased: 2001
Why the Owner Chose Kanaloa at Kona
We have stayed at many places in Kona and we looked at everything on the market. Kanaloa at Kona simply stood out from the rest, and as soon as we saw this unit the decision was easy. For overall size and quality, plus the great location and expansive setting, Kanaloa is tops.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
For us one of the big things is traffic--or lack of it, when staying at Kanaloa. We have rented ocean view units at the Bali Kai and others where you get a nice view--from the living room. But in 2BR units the second bedroom may be facing the street! Step outside in those places and there's nowhere to walk or run except up and down the bike lane on Ali'i Drive. So we love Kanaloa where you can step outside and walk barefoot on lawns down to the shoreline, or stroll along the oceanfront or over to the nearby marina.

We stayed in this condo a total of 50 days beginning early Jan 2011. This condo is well equipped, located on the 11th fairway of the Kona Country Club ocean course. You can sit out on the lani and watch all the golfers play their shots into the 11th green. If you are planning a trip to the Big Island, and spending time in Kailua,Kona this would be a good choice, would highly recommend this condo, scott was easy to work with. a.c.

My husband and I spent a fabulously relaxing week at Kanoloa at Kona in this unit. We had breakfast on the patio that faces the golf course every morning to plan our day. The location is close to one of the best snorkeling beaches and is an easy drive to all Kona locations. This condo is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a fantastic vacation. We enjoyed all the pools on the grounds and especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the beach-side pool. Scott was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to booking again next year.

Easy to negotiate reservcation, payment and checkin. No mailing of keys back and forth - yeah. Included AC was a godsend. I have stayed in this complex in 2 other condos and will return to this one. Clean, nice set up, scuba stuff there to use, beach towels, coffee grinder etc there were 3 of us and felt like great space. No laundry detergent or ice maker but worked around both. Nicest flooring yet and the partial ocean view was fabulous. Pools are in great condition, really nice since the update on them, could not ask for more. We grilled out on the immaculate gas grill - we only wish we had more than 10 nights there. Highly recommend this condo - owner easy to work with, location great, AC is a total plus. Mahalo!

Other than lacking an ocean view, the condo is a more than adequate and affordable residence. It is conveniently located close to shopping and fairly close to the town of Kona. The complex and the unit itself are well maintained and the pools are very nice.

A big break from winter in Midwest, peaceful and restful, a great place to relax and enjoy life after a year of normal. The condo is a place of paradise, no worries about anything, no distractions, just beauty and calm. The unit is very comfortable and really feels like home! Kona1 e no ka oi.

This place was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers!). Very close to grocery store, and other shopping at the end of Alii Drive. The description of the unit was spot on...the amenities as represented. When we arrived the unit was clean and well-maintained. We were all very comfortable. We saw some spectacular sunsets against the lava rock backdrop. Kids swam in the pools, played tennis and ping-pong, frisbee on the front lawn (the unit has alot of supplies). Scott, the owner, gave us many useful tips about good beaches nearby; he was very accessible and prompt by e-mail. We've stayed on the Kona Coast several times, mostly to relax and dive, this property was perfect fit for us. It's a little far from the hustle and bustle, but then as we are frequent visitors, that wasn't important to us, infact we appreciated the quiet. Would definitely return and most definitley recommend to friends/relatives.

This was our first vacation with our two grown sons in many years and it was a great success for all 4 of us, in large part because of our rental condo. We loved being next to the golf course, pools, barbeques, and a short walk to watch spectacular sunsets. The grounds were beautiful and the sports equipment provided was a real plus. The condo was large enough that we didn't feel on top of each other and the kitchen was well equipped. Small touches like books, magazines, and music were much appreciated and the owner was great to deal with. We'd love to come back!

5 of us stay at this condo in September 2010 and had a great time. The location within the development was excellent with the lanai overlooking the golf course. We were only steps away from the Ocean side pool where we spent a lot of our time. The location of the development is also excellent being just minutes away from downtown or the Kona Brewing Company (I highly recommend a vist there). The grounds are well maintained and it was fun to watch the Mongoose running around. I look forward to my next visit.
