Walter,
I wanted to send you a note and let let you know that the Snow family had a terrific time last week at Platte Lake.
You have a beautiful home and it was perfect for what we needed. It was an ideal location for us to get to all the destination spots we were wanting to get to. The deck was a popular place to be all week (when not enjoying kayak trips on the beautiful river. Our boys loved hopping on their bikes for trips to the Trading Post.

All of us left with memories that will be cherished forever. In fact, as we were getting ready to leave, my parents were already talking about "next year".
So, if you do make the house available next summer, we may be interested in visiting again.

Thanks again for sharing your lake house with us and please feel free to contact me with any questions and also to confirm when you we should expect deposit funds to be returned.

Regards,

I very much enjoy spending time with my family

Why the Owner Chose Platte Lake

I've owned this property since 1980, the property has been in the family since the 50's. I use to vacation here as a child, lots of great memories. In 2001 I decided to demolish and rebuild the lake house. As a license residential Michigan builder, my son and I spent three years designing and buildng a special setting with maximum lake views. The "peninsula lot setting" with the closeness of the dwelling to the water makes for great lake views. The natural beauty with Southern exposure and love for the area is why is Lake House will be in the Miller family for a long long time.

The Unique Benefits of this House

This area of Michigan is just beautiful. The float trips on Platte river, climbing of the sand dunes, hiking on the wilderness trails with all the wildlife, amenities in Traverse City, local parades, Crystal Mountain year round actives, Big lake fishing, goes on and on. What I love is freshness of the air, the natural beauty of the land and water. The quietness, the beauty of the sun and moon light on the water, the ever changing looks on the water as the wind and clouds change the light reflections, producing countless looks. I enjoy looking form the balcony onto the water, the higher elevation results in better moon and sun light reflections.

Date of Stay: 07/09/11 Review Submitted: 07/28/11

We had a fabulous week at the Platte Lake house, great location, great house - the pictures truly do not do it justice. There were 10 adults, 2 teens and a 2 year old and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themseslves. We swam & fished & played lawn games & hiked & kayaked and visited nearby cities. There is so much to do, and when not running around, the decks are perfect, 2 picnic tables & lots of room for all of us. It was great having the Trading Post store so close. The house is well built and well maintained - plenty of space and a great kitchen, I would absolutely recommend it - a great place to spend a vacation!
