Nestled in the foothills of the Petit Luberon, this large and luxurious Villa was built by a local architect 10 years ago, in a modern style while using the local white stones. Overlooking the vineyards, Mont Ventoux and the villages of Roussillon and Joucas, Villa Manon is truly in the heart of the Luberon. With its wide open spaces on the main floor, opening to several covered terraces and the heated horizon pool, the house is ideal for large groups of families or friends.
GREAT VALUE and AMERICAN-STYLE COMFORT!!!
The 3 large bedrooms in the main house are all equipped with en-suite bathrooms, King-sized (180 cm) beds, alarm/CD players, and air conditioning. They open to the upper and lower terraces, enjoying gorgeous views of the countryside. The 2 smaller bedrooms in the second house are perfect for teenagers, or the nanny and young children. Also with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, they offer a Queen (160 cm) and 2 twin beds. Baby's equipment as well as futons for additional guests are available upon request.
The main house offers a large formal living room and a dining room for 12, as well as a smaller TV room with satellite dish. The kitchen, decorated in the Provencal fashion, is the heart of the house. Equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, a large pantry, and all the necessary cookware, from family heirlooms to modern pots and pans, it is truly fit for the gourmet cook.
Our American guests will feel at ease thanks to the imported measurement tools, cookbooks, washer/dryer and ice-water dispenser fridge... You may choose to have breakfast on the back patio, have a quick lunch in the cool of the kitchen , enjoy an evening drink in the outside living room and dine outside on the large teak table by the BBQ, looking out to the pool.
With AC in all the bedrooms, very comfortable beds, lots of towels and all paper and cleaning supplies, kitchen staples, hairdryers, high-speed internet access, Satellite TV with CNN and other English-speaking (as well as German, Spanish, Italian...) channels, a separate clothes dryer, a BBQ grill, a heated pool suitable for laps, a petanque game area, a huge and very private garden with panoramic views of the Apt valley, an English-speaking house-manager who can double as a concierge and help you organize your stay with advance bookings, gourmet tours and in-house catering, that is a value of $70 per night per occupant for 12 people, in the midst of the high-season!
You may decide to spend an active day, discovering one of the numerous villages hanging from the hills, visiting the splendid Abbaye of Senanque in its nest of lavender, shopping at the local markets or at the nearby farm for the bountiful produce of the region, or you may decide to do nothing and stay at the house all day, resting in the shade, listening to the humming 'Cigales', or going for a walk in the adjacent forest and cooling off in the pool.
The pool is heated, and once you have enjoyed a midnight bath in the starry night, watching the twinkling lights in the valley as you swim, you will truly feel in paradise!
So call me now to book your next stay in Provence.

I have stayed here with my wife for severql years. It is simply the best home in Provence, especially if you are American. It has King size beds, A/C in the bedrooms, heated big infinity pool, huge well equipped kitchen with big appliances, great security, fantastic views, lovely furniture, large park like lawns, double garage and most of all it is so comfortable. Close to the most charming villages in Provence. Closeby wine producers are wonderful and the wine costs next to nothing. When the last day comes, you will not be happy to leave. Francoise and Pascal the owner will stop at nothing to make your stay memorable and Herve the English speaking house mgr. is cell phone close if there is a problem, which is rare. The pictures understate the beauty of this home. It is not inexpensive but when you arrive/leave you will know it was worth every Euro.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My family stayed at Villa Manon for a week ending July 4, and we wished we had a month. Comfortable, understated quality, compelling interest -- just a few of the adjectives that describe this lovely home on a Provencal hillside. Just what a vacation house in France should be! Most highly recommended. We loved everything about it. I think the photos on the site are impressive, but they do not do the house justice in terms of its size, flow, comfort, accommodations, and quality of fixtures. The beds are comfortable and well appointed. And the bathrooms have the highest quality appliances and plumbing fixtures, including a luxuriant rain shower in the lower master bedroom. The house is designed to open from the main living areas to the patio and the pool deck, and these spaces flow together easily. In fact, everything about the house flows, from room to room, from inside to outside, from front to back, from downstairs to rooftop desks. The owners advertize that it comfortably sleeps 10, and it does, but it felt as though you could have invited 50 for a party and it would not begin to feel crowded. Very spacious and accommodating. In most vacation homes there is a single, glorious master bedroom and then a series of smaller rooms that are not entirely comfortable for adult couples. If you have more than one family, someone inevitably gets the short straw. Not this house. This house has three bedrooms that could each serve as a master bedroom with comfort, style and attraction. My wife and I used the spacious room on the main floor, with a large attached master bathroom and shower, and direct access to the veranda. Great privacy and quiet. Loved the rain shower--nice touch. Dawns were spectacular. If I lived there I would get up at dawn every summer morning. The mist in the valley and the color on the horizon is spectacular, and the valley is incredibly peaceful The house is well removed from the road, on a large fenced and landscaped property offering complete privacy. Complete privacy and comfort. The infinity pool is perfect for lap swimmers. The pool was my favorite part of the house, but many people would prefer the large Provencal kitchen. Quite atmospheric and appealing, spacious, and very well equipped—not just to have a few basics for renters. I thought there would be very little to do near the house, but this is a vibrant, area rich in markets, festivals. Loved it all! Goult is charming. Thank you!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Dear Francoise & Pascal Thank you for hosting us the last two weeks at your wonderful Villa Manon in Provence. We had the most marvelous time and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hardest thing was to leave the place after two weeks of an incredible vacation. We loved your welcoming house, the garden, and the incredible swimming pool with the best view. The 'Petanque' court was a nice surprise and we enjoyed playing every day. The hardest thing was to decide whether we visit this beautiful region of Luberon or just stay home and enjoy the pool and the great weather. We eventually made a good mix and visited pretty much every town in the region and still managed to spend time in the pool. We visited Gordes, Bonnieux, Fontaine de Vaucluse, and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for a start, then we ventured a little farther all the way to Lourmarin, Mont Ventoux, Cassis and Marseille. Canoeing down the River Sorgue from Fontaine de Vaucluse to Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue was a nice activity. The house was very comfortable even when my brother and his family visited us from Paris; we were 12 at one point and it felt great. Your house manager and the service people were excellent. Provence is really an incredible vacation destination and we are very glad to have come all the way from Seattle to enjoy its friendly people, amazing cuisine and wine, and beautiful warm and dry weather.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Manon. Located on a quiet hillside it is well designed, nicely appointed, and in excellent condition. Our group of 9 adults and 2 young children found many places to gather for conversation or to spread out when we wanted privacy or quiet time. We especially enjoyed lazy afternoons by the pool and dinners overlooking the hills and valley below. The surrounding area has a wide range of attractions and there is something for everyone whether you are looking for history, natural beauty, wine, or shopping and markets. The French-American owner provided detailed and helpful suggestions regarding attractions, towns, and restaurants in the area. I would recommend this home to friends and family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The photos just don't do the property justice, it is a jewel! I concure with all the other testamonials regarding the beauty of the property and its location. Just one addition is how accomodating and helpful the owners, the caretaker and the lovely cleaner all were. As with anything, things can go wrong or you need assistence, and thing were always done quickly and with a smile. I am tempted to go again and I never travel to the same place twice! Just to wake up to thjat view! Or to try to get a table at the comedy Auberge in the village!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a mistake. Our mistake was to have booked this fabulous villa for such a short period. By any standard this villa was beyond any of our expectation. As you take your first steps in this property you realize the attention that the owner has put in the smallest detail. I could write an entire book about how uniquely pleasant this villa is but that would be spoiling your own experience. Close to most popular sites of Provence, this villa is very conveniently located and will allow you to take full advantage of your stay. Do yourself a favour and stop your research; you have found the dream villa in the dream location.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Villa Manon is truly more fabulous than either the description or photos on this web site can show. Our group stayed there in April. With internet rental properties, you pretty much have to cross your fingers and hope that the actual property approximates its depiction on the web, but you can never be sure. Villa Manon exceeded all of our expectations. I won't repeat the site's description, but assure that the description is accurate or even understated. My favorite feature was the way we could literally open the glass walls of the house to let the outdoors in. It was heavenly to wake up in the master bedroom, sit up in bed and look across the Luberon Valley. The views are breathtaking. The furnishings are all of the highest quality. The outdoor furniture is especially cushyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Provence at its best! What a complete Provence experience our trip was, thanks to Villa Manon! Situation is ideal, with modern amenities inside, and true Provence outside: The house is made in "pierre blanche", the local white stone used in Provence, while inside the rooms are oversized and comfortable, with each bedroom having its own bathroom and closets. The pool is a modern work of art, blue tile and overflowing, with Provence-scape and Mont Ventoux for backdrop. We were swimming into infinite provencal delight, with nothing between us and Mont Ventoux but the wind, birds, and a few lavender beds... Adjoining the pool is a covered area with a big table and bbq, just perfect for sharing the meals made in cook's dream kitchen... We were eating dinner sitting 12 so comfortably, it made it hard to go out for dinner! As for groceries, Goult is a 5mn drive, and offers the best of Provence's groceries, and with its windmill and fortress walls still defining the village, makes food shopping a stroll in Provence's history... Provence's smiles and kindness were also present at every corner: The "epicerie" owner said to simply pay another day when I had forgotten my purse, and the cafe owner was offended when I offered to pay ahead for the pissaladiere and "plat du jour" I ordered to go for 12 people for the following day... We felt close to everything, taking walks in the forest and nearby Hameaux, on ways and paths accesible practically out of the backyard, and only to pedestrians. Some of Provence's most interesting villages: Gordes, Roussillon, and Bonnieux are all within 15mn drive. The Senanque Abbaye which is one of my favourite monuments is probably 40 mn away. As for shopping, Avignon is 45mn, Apt 25mn...Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: We, (Pascal and Francoise) are both French living in Seattle, WA (USA). We were craving sun, and we wanted to have a family home in France, a gathering place for the French side of the family and all our friends across the world. We wanted it to be nice, but simple and without fuss, welcoming to our big kids as much as to the grand-parents. The dog came to visit and loved it too.
Why the Owner Chose Goult:
We bought Villa Manon 7 years ago for its spectacular views of the Luberon, for the peace and quiet surrounding it, for the endless sunny days we could envision spending in Provence. We considered the time it took traveling from Paris or the US, where it was located if we wanted to attend all the beautiful summer festivals in Orange, Avignon, Aix.... and the fact that it was close to some of the most superb vineyards that go so well with the local food.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
We made the house comfortable for all the friends visiting us with or without their children and we made sure we could cook great meals in the kitchen (Francoise loves to cook and Pascal loves to eat!). There is never enough time in Provence to do it all: winetasting in Bandol or Chateauneuf du Pape, shopping, day dreaming by the pool, playing tennis in the early morning, walking through the hills to Lumiere or stopping by the cafe in Goult, a nap in the shade, a great restaurant at night, we just love it all and are always sad to leave. Even the kids (25 & 22) love to come for a visit and bring their friends along. And one day,Francoise will finally concretize her dream and offer cooking classes to the guests who visit.
