Welcome to Bananawind! A Lovely 3 story Destin Vacation rental Located in the heart of the Maravilla Beach Resort. Maravilla is found just off scenic gulf drive (old highway 98) on the east end of Destin. The resort offers a private clubhouse complete with large community pool, hot tub, Tennis courts and a full gym. There is even an event room that can be reserved for most any occasion!
Banana Wind is just a short 3-4 stroll along a private road down to the beach! Within walking distance of the home there are three restaurants (Pompano Joe’s, Captain Dave’s and Kenny D’s) along with a few surf shops if you forget your swim suit!
The home features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has bedding for 12.
Ground Level – Wide open living room with queen sleeper sofa, full hallway shared bathroom. Bedroom with two twins and a private entrance to that ground level bathroom.
Second Level – Two Master Suites with full private bathrooms and private balconies. One master also has a queen sleeper sofa.
Third Level – Bonus loft area with queen sleeper sofa (easily used as a 4th bedroom but not advertised as such) Enjoy Gulf views from the balcony!

This house was perfect for our family reunion. We had lots of space for my whole family and the kitchen had EVERYTHING we need for our big family dinner. having the pool just close by was a big help too. the walk to the beach was not bad, would have loved to be closer but the price was right! We had trouble with a bathroom door lock but the rental company fixed it the next day, other than that no issues really. We will defenately be back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Great location and Maravilla is wonderful! However, this home needs a really good cleaning and updates. Blinds on front door broken. Smelled like dead fish when we opened the door. Floors were dirty. Furniture (couch and chairs) are old and stained. No chairs or table on back deck or front porch. Shower in master bath was funky and dirty. Send a list of repairs needed to the rental agency. I would not recommend this house and would not rent again.Owner response: John was a snow bird who had seen the house the year before he rented and was aware of how it looked. His list of repairs was more like a request for renovations which were not necessary. He began complaining right after he moved in and the owners did everything they could to please him to no avail. The owners bought a new stove, a new TV to satisfy his desire to have ear phones for the volume, new kitchen utensils and plates, and they made a special trip to the post office to get keys for the box (never used before). The house was cleaned when he arrived and then cleaned again and no one before has ever complained that it was dirty except "John". He made several additional unreasonable demands which were not done so it doesn't surprise me to see his review, I doubt he has ever been happy at a rental.

Home was nice, and extremely close to pool/clubhouse. You can't get any closer. Short 5 minute walk to beautiful beach. Only issue thru the whole stay was that apparently the cable/internet to the home was shut off and we did not get it "back" until that Monday. So 3 days without television or internet was really the only shortfall. Home is roomy with plenty of space for people to sleep. Beautiful decks located on all levels of the home. Gated community is a HUGE plus. Centrally located to shopping, grocery store, dining, etc. I highly recommend a stay here. Additionally, could probably use a detailed cleaning every now and then.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed at Banana Wind for a week in 2008 and just loved it! The proximity to the pool and the beach was fantastic and the large open yard area outside the house allowed our kids to play baseball and football and not worry about the street. Bedrooms are HUGE and being spaced throughout the house offers some privacy for the adults! :-) We will definitely be back to Banana Wind Atlanta, GARecommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
