Location: Drakes Island, Southern Coast, Maine, USA (Wells, Maine - Only Five Miles from the Turnpike)
Accommodations: Beach Cottage, 4 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 10)
Bellemer Cottage is situated a mere one hundred feet from the sand of the most beautiful two mile stretch of beach in Southern Maine. The cottage has been totally restored inside and out. This vintage cottage features modern amenities while maintaining the charm of a 1901 Maine beach cottage. A favorite of guests is the wrap-around porch, featuring white Maine rockers - a favorite place for guests to enjoy early morning coffee or late afternoon cocktails.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with modern conveniences, including a gas range, microwave oven, and dishwasher as well as the necessities from lobster pot to stemware. A washer and dryer are located just off the kitchen. The kitchen breakfast nook seats eight and the adjoining dining area comfortably seats ten. The cottage has been furnished with a view to maintaining the flavor or an early Maine beach cottage. The upstairs has four small bedrooms: two with double beds, one with two twin beds and one, nautical-theme bunkroom, with four twin-size bunks - sleeping a total of ten. There is a full bath upstairs with an antique claw-foot tub and a separate shower stall. A small powder room is located on the first floor. A gas grill is provided for outdoor cooking. Beach chairs and beach umbrellas are also furnished. Tenants need only bring sheets and towels.
